Upgrade Lightroom 1 Student version?

Back in early 2007, I purchased the academic edition of Lightroom 1. However, I am no longer a student and cannot purchase the student version of Lightroom 2.
Will the regular Lightroom 2 Upgrade version upgrade my student edition of Lightroom 1?

I don't know where you got that information from but, happily, it is wrong. Adobe has a very liberal updating policy. I've updated from an Educational Version of CS 3 times. Once you pay for the first upgrade, you have a full version, not a student version, and you can upgrade accordingly from there. As long as you're the legal, registered, activated user, just buy the upgrade and install it. You'll have no issues (at least with licensing.)

Yes. The student edition is the exact same program, just different licensing and pricing. And having purchased the student edition qualifies you to purchase any subsequent upgrade.

But now CS4 Standard ask for my CS3 Design Student Version serial number and it is not working, but the serial number is correct!
I need to choose an Adobe CS3 product, but there is no CS3 Standard Student Version. If I choose CS3 Design Standard my serial number isn't working.
Can anyone help me?

I purchased the CS 5.5 Master Collection but I want to upgrade to the CC version at the student rate for my 13 year old son so he has the latest versions. How do I go about that if I already have an Adobe account to qualify for the student rate?

Yes, You can purchase CC Edu version for you son using your Adobe account. You can subscribe for CC Edu in 19.99$/mo but they might ask you to submit the Proof of Eligibility.

Photoshop CS4 Extended upgrade from CS3 Student Version

I was looking for the Student upgrade from CS3 to CS4 for Photoshop, but could not find it.
I only saw the regular upgrade edition, not the student one.
Could anybody please help me?

There is no such thing as a student upgrade. Your educational version of Photoshop entitles you to upgrade to the commercial version of Photoshop but you'll pay the same price as everybody else.
I'm assuming that ($199.99) is still cheaper than buying a new, full educational version.

Lightroom 4 Student Version

I have 2 questions:
I am interested in buying Lightroom 4 - the student version. I am wondering if this version is the same as the regular/full version?
Also, can this program be put on 2 computers? I am thinking of buying a new computer in the next year and I am wondering if I will be able to put the program on there if i do so....?

It simply means that Lightroom cannot be running and in the use on both computers at the same time. The license allows you to use one computer or the other at any given time. In other words, you cannot be using Lightroom on one computer, and at the same time another person using Lightroom on the other computer. That is not allowed in the license agreement.

Upgrading Lightroom 4 boxed version

I have had CC for a few months now along with my boxed version of LR4. how does CC handle upgrading LR4 from the boxed install to the CC install? Will I need to redo my catalog? I have been using LR 5 beta and thought I would just wait for it to be released. I am just not 100%sure how al this cloud works with programs I have installed. (I have ben using PSCs6 and other programs from CC with no Issues) Any upgrade infor would be appreaciated.

CC is a licensing model, not a technically different program. There is nothing to do.

Adobe Lightroom Teacher/Student Version

Hello,
I work at a secondary school in the UK and have been told by a member of staff there that I can buy this product.
I know you have to provide documents as proof of working within education but do you provide these before buying it or after?
I didn't want to buy it and, for some reason, wasn't accepted and then I'd be stuck with a product I couldn't use.

The proof of eligibility has to be provided before an Educational Licence is issued. However you can use the program free for 30 days .

Is it possible to upgrade from Student version Lightroom 3 to a private Lightroom 5?

I'm trying to find out if I can upgrade from my student version of Lightroom 3 to a private version of Lightroom 5, or do I have to buy the whole version of Lightroom 5? I would like to be sure about which to buy before I make a purchase and obviously make a saving if I can just purchase the upgrade.

I have read many comments on the web re Adobe offering free upgrades to persons purchasing CS immediately prior to a new reference release. Is there an official response on how long the period prior to release is and does this apply to student versions (I was advised that the student versions are not upgradable)? Thanks,

It seems to me like you are asking about a post-announcement upgrade for an academic version. The information here leads me to believe that you can get the free upgrade with a student version.
This upgrade policy applies only to single-user retail and educational
versions. Tryout, Beta, Not For Retail (NFR), and bundled OEM versions
are not eligible for upgrade.
What I don't know is if the grace period for CS4 > CS5 has started now, with this pre-annoucement or if this policy doesn't take effect until the 12th.

You can buy the commercial upgrades for CS6 and LR5. LR4 is no longer available.

Yes you can upgrade through the regular process. Your LR 5 is the same program as the regular application you just got the license key at a discounted price.
If you still qualify you can go through process of purchasing the Student Version which will more or less be around the same price.
