Upgrade lightroom 3 on a second computer

I bought long time ago lightroom 3 on cd, and later online the upgrade : lightroom 4 , today i bought a new computer, i succeed to install lightroom 3 again , but how can i install the 4 ? Until now I only used it on one computer so I would like to use it on two computer( the old one and the new one )

You install it on the new computer the same way you installed it on the old computer.

Last year I bought Lightroom 3 which I downloaded on my work computer. I recently bought a personal computer and last week I bought the upgrade to Lightroom 4. Can I just download Lightroom 4 upgrade to my new computer or do I need to have Lightroom 3 first? I tried to download Lightroom 3 to the second computer, but cannot seem to find a copy of it. I believe we can use the program on two computers. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it's sufficient to install LR4 only. you will be asked for your LR3 serial for verification.

You probably downloaded the Cloud version. Get the licensed version thru the following linked page...

Installing Lightroom from Bundle on Second Computer

I subscribe to the Photographers' bundle consisting of Lightroom and Photoshop. I attempted to install Lightroom on a second computer (laptop) but none of the product keys I have worked. (I tried using the key in the Photoshop Lightroom Bundle as well as individual Photoshop and Lightroom licenses, though I think those are older versions.) I obtained the latest version of lightroom by downloading a trial version.

How to load Lightroom purchase to a second computer?

I purchased Lightroom 5 a short time ago and now would like to be able to load it to my Laptop. How do I do this without having to go through the purchase option again? I still have the license key number but it is read as invalid when trying to initiate the software after downloading it to my Laptop.

Its possible that you downloaded the Lightroom Creative Cloud version the second time arround. The Lightroom Key cannot activate that version. Uninstall from your laptop and then download the latest version from the link below, install and your key should work fine.

Upgrade LR3 to LR4 on second computer

I have bought (onlin, so without cd) and installed the 3 to 4 upgrade on my pc. Now I want to upgrade my LR3 version on my laptop. How can I do this?

A couple of ways:
--When you installed on your PC, the install files were unpacked (by default) into an Adobe folder on your desktop. There should be a subfolder named "Photoshop Lightroom 4.1" in that folder, containing an install program. You could copy that folder to your laptop and install from it.
--Or you could go back to the Adobe site and download LR to your laptop and run the install. (The free trial version will do.) Then apply your serial number and you'll be good to go.

if you don't have/want a cc subscription on your computer, uninstall the cc app and then use the cleaner - Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
if necessary reinstall lightroom and license with your serial number -

Purchased Mountain Lion, loaded successfully on iMac and it upgraded the iLife products to iPhoto 11, iMovie 11 and GarageBand 11. Since we could put it on up to three computers, I downloaded and installed on my wife's iMac as well. Worked fine - except it did NOT upgrade iLife products from iPhoto 9 to iPhoto 11. Now it's telling me we have to purchase iLife in order to upgrade. Why didn't it upgrade the second computer?

The iLife apps are not part of the Operating System, so I'm not sure what happened on your first machine but purchasing Mountain Lon did not upgrade your iLife apps.
Are you sure you're not confusing Marketing Names and version numbers?

Marketing names and version numbers are confusing.
The marketing name iPhoto 6 corresponded to the version 6
The marketing name iPhoto 08 corresponded to the version 7
The marketing name iPhoto 09 corresponded to the version 8
The marketing name iPhoto 11 corresponded to the version 9
Not that this is confusing or anything.

How do I contact Adobe to get a second copy of Lightroom to install on a second computer? It says you can do this with one license, but they don't say how to contact Adobe to get the second copy. I tried using my serial number when the trial was over and it does not work.

Hi,
I just bought LR2 through the online store. I have installed it on my desk top and my lap top. I used the same ser. # for both installs and had no problem at all. I also installed pse7 from disc on both machines with no problem. I dont have the reason why it is not working for you. you should be able to do what you want. The only thing I can think of is if you had one machine running the program while you were trying to install the other one the install may have been stopped because you can only use one machine at a time.

You can use a single license of LR on 2 computers. Just install it. Nothing special required.
