  • Upgrade to SRM 7.0 Additional fields on 'SOS' of SC

    Hello All,
We have Upgrading the SRM system to 7.0. and we ahve one requirement to add few fields on Source Of Supplier' of shopping cart also we need to transfer this data from SRm to ECC system.
I did following changes till now,
Added new fields in following path of SPRO:
    1. Under Configure control fields --> Define customer fields on Item level --> Append for Customer Fields on Shopping Cart Item
    2. Under Configure control fields --> Define customer fields on Item level --> Append for Customer Cross-Document Item Database Fields
    3. Under Configure field control --> Configure control for Fields on Item Level --> Default Metadata for Fields in Items that do not (yet) Exist --> Added new fields for OBj Type BUS2121 (SC) and BUS2201 (PO)
    Changes in Webdynpro:
    Webdynpro: /SAPSRM/WDC_DODC_SC_I_SOS
    View: V_DODC_SC_I_VENDOR
    1. Created new enhancement
    2. New fields added under context SUP--> ITEM_BASIC_DATA where as type for each field refered to structure /SAPSRM/S_CLL_WD_SC_I_BD
    3. Added fields in Layout
    4. bind these layout fields to new context elements
    Problem:
I'm able to view these fields on SRm 'SOS' screen, when I enter vallues in these fields and click on any other Tab values are not retained and get refreshed. That is all values are set to BLANK value.
Is there any step which I'm missing?
I have searched lot of forums for this, and followed above steps but no sucess.
Please help me to resolve this ASAP.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Yogesh

    Hello Devi Prasad,
    Thanks for reply!
I checked the given method in debug mode.
This method is getting called before assiging supplier. I can see that all custom fields are available in the internal table at the time of debug.
Now the process is, when I enter any supplier between range 000-999 and click on asisgn supplier button, my custom fields will appear on the SOS tab. Now when I enter any value in these fields and click on any other Tab or Order the shopping cart all custom fields value get cleared and does not store values in it.
My requirement is to hold these values in custom fields till I order the shopiing cart and after Order these values should be stored in the database.

    Yogesh

  • Upgrading the Target System-Will it affect the XI Messages?

    Hello Friends,
I need to know the better solution for the following issue.
We have a scenario SAP->XI->SRM 4.0. Now we are upgrading SRM 4.0 to SRM 5.0. If we upgrade the SRM System, whether the Messages flow in XI will get affected?

  • Upgrade to SRM 5.0- Downtime on production system

    Hi,
We are planning an upgrade to SRM 5.0. Currently we areon SRM 3.0 (EBP4.0), classic scenario.
I dont have much idea about upgrades. I went thro the upgrade guide for SRM. I can see that there are 2 main strategies for upgrade <i>downtime minimized</i> and <i>resource minimized</i>.
Can anyone give me an estimate or way to arrive at the downtime requirement for the production system if I use any of the strategies? is there a way to arrive at an approximate downtime which should be planned?
We currently have only the scenario self service procurement with classic scenario. All other follow on activities like GR, Invoicing etc. happens in R/3. SRM only stores shoppinng carts. On an average there are about 7000-8000SC's created in a month.
    Thanks,
    Srivatsan

    Hello Srivatsan,
The differences between downtime minimized and the resource minimized is the first shutdown of the production system. For downtime minimized strategy it's the phase MODPROF_TRANS. And for resource minimized, it's either EU_import, or the START_SHDI_FIRST. But you can restart the soruce system(but not in production mode) after that until MODPROF_TRANS.
The downtime actually is depend on the hardware and the size of the database. It has nothign to do with the application. It's doing the table conversion and changing and keep them consistent.
To be safe, I would recommend you to plan at least a weekend for the downtime (after MODPROF_TRANS) if the database is not too big.

  • Multiple SRM Systems One SRM-MDM Catalog?

    Hi
I'm currently upgrading our SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.01 with SRM-MDM Catalog 7.01.  Is it possible to use one SRM-MDM Catalog in our non-production environment and connect multiple SRM systems to it?
For example our sandbox, development and QA SRM 7.01 systems would all connect to the same SRM-MDM Catalog 7.01.
    Thanks.
    Neil

    Hi,
for non-production use and if it is just a catalog without custom coding running I see no problem in using one MDM server for multiple SRM systems (especially sharing one for sandboxes and dev). It is a setup I have seen multiple times and it worked always without problems.
You should set up different repositories for each SRM system so that you don't interfere with each others data (i.e. suppliers or other lookups tied to SRM).
You have to keep in mind that you have to upgrade all systems together. But you can always use separate MDM servers during the upgrade process and then consolidate onto one server when the upgrade is done.
If you are running custom coding with your MDM catalog I would recommend having a separate MDM system for the QA SRM in order to be closer to the production set-up when testing your custom solution.

    Martin

  • Data not getting transffered from SRM system to BW

    Hi All,
We have an issue where in the data is not getting transferred from SRM to BW. If i see in RSA 3 of SRM system, the datasource is pulling around 3000 records and in WE02, the idoc is generated and passed without any errors.
Whereas in BW the idoc is coming with code 8 and no data is getting transferred to BW.
What can be the probable reasons for this mismatch ??
    Thanks
    Abhi

    Hi Abhi,
After an upgrade, i would go for following checks
    1. Check the Data Source on CRM side and check if it is Active.
    2. With Upgrade, usually DataSources become inactive and also, pls check if any required fields are hidden in the data source before you activate.
    3. After unhiding required fields, i would activate the Data Source and Replicate the Data Source on BI Side.
    4. Now I would delete the failed request by forcing its status to RED in RSMO and then go for the load.
Let me know if it worked.

  • SRM 5.5 upgrade to SRM 7.0 with MDM

    Hi,
Pl consider the following scenario and give your views.
Our client has SRM 5.5 running with SRM MDM 2.0 in their landscape. Now they wish to upgrade to SRM 7.0 without upgrading MDM.(We are upgrading through the parallel landscape).
So during the upgrade phase, we wish to connect SRM 5.5 and SRM 7.0 both to their existing MDM system for testing purpose. Is this possible?
PS : Parallel landscape is existing DEV environment will be copied and then upgrade the copied environment. We plan to copy only SRM Server and want to continue using the existing MDM, PI, Portal and TREX setup.
    Regards

    Hi,
No issue for testing purpose in test landscape. It is not production usage and production system.

    Masa

  • Dependencies for an upgrade from SRM 4.0 to SRM 7.0

We have a Client situation - upgrade from SRM 4.0 to SRM 7.0 - they have SAP EP 6.2 and 4.7E backend system.
    Now, the questions are -
    1. Is it mandatory to upgrade to SAP EP 7.01 (Netweaver 2004s) or will SRM 7.0 work with SAP EP 6.2?
    2. It appears SRM 7.0 will work with SAP 4.7E, however, will self-service procurement, sourcing cockpit functionality work okay and integrate with SAP 4.7E without any issues?
An early response is highly appreciated.
    SNR

    Hi SNR
For your first question please refer to the following link as well as the SRM 7.0 release notes:
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/SRMRelatedComponentsperSP+Stack
If you check the EP  6.2  is no longer supported by SRM 5 releases onwards
Based on this information, the SRM 7.0 should not work with EP 6.2
    For your Second Question:
It seems to be no restrictions in use Backend 4.7E.  You can define it in the SPRO as backend destination / sys type(BBP_BACKEND_DEST table SYS_TYPE = R/3_4.70)
As additional information please kindly refer to the SRM 7.0 Instalation Guides. It can be found in the Service Marketplace
    service.sap.com/srm-inst
    -> SRM 7.0
There you will find a lot information about installation / upgrade from prior SRM releases
    I hope this information helps!

  • I have a macbook 4.1 with osx10.6.8 and just added memory (2gig) so I could sync my new Ipome and Ipad.  and Ipad. Now I'm told I need to upgrade my operating system. The apple store gave me conflicting instructions. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have a macbook 4.1 with osx10.6.8 and just added memory (2gig) so I could sync my new IPhone and Ipad. Now I'm told at the apple store that I need to upgrade my operationg system. They said they couldn't help and gave me conflicting advice about what to do. Any ideas? Thanks you!

There are three models of MacBook that comprise the 'macbook 4.1' category, and each of them a little different; however other than 'macbook 4.1' the other thing they have in common is they all are considered Early 2008. Two are white, one black, polycarbonate case, Core2Duo 2.1GHz, 2.4GHz white, 2.4GHz black.
So if you can determine which one, if any of these, is the model build year and spec you have, that would be handy. Did you tell whoever you spoke to the serial number of your computer, so they'd know by looking up the specs to see what the supported maximum RAM upgrade capacity was, and other minimum requirements to make any upgrade to Mac OS X 10.6.8 at all?
If you have the serial number you can do a lookup to 'indentify by serial number' online, and use that information to determine if the computer needs even more RAM to take it past the minimum for Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and then get it ready to upgrade (via paid download from App Store, Snow Leopard gets you that far) and see what the next supported OS X full upgrade would be for the hardware limitations on that old MacBook.
If your MacBook IS a 4.1 build, the highest OS X it could run if it has the 2.4GHz cpu, is Lion 10.7.5. That would be an upgrade from the App store, available to OS X 10.6.8+ computers that access it online. And I kind of doubt how supported a newest iphone etc may be in lion.
everymac.com has a fair amount of information across many years of Apple computing hardware...
Here's the three MacBooks that share the 4.1 designation; first shipped with as much as 1GB RAM upgrade and the other two only a 2GB RAM*, (one white/one black color) according to this information...
    • MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.1 13" (White-08) 2.1 GHz Core 2 Duo (T8100)
    • MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.4 13" (White-08) 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo (T8300)
    • MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.4 13" (Black-08) 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo (T8300)
    ...as seen here: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/index-macbook.html
*But according to MacTracker (free: download database) http://mactracker.ca
these MacBooks can use more RAM in aftermarket specs as much as:
    Maximum Memory
6.0 GB (Actual) 4.0 GB (Apple)
    Memory Slots
    2 - 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMM
To get more information use a service such as this...
    •identify by serial number:
    http://www.powerbookmedic.com/identify-mac-serial.php
The Apple? store or whoever you talked, to may have been as accurate as they could be without further research. Could be you may have a newer or older MacBook, which would change whatever later OS X it could run past 10.6.8. And to go past Snow Leopard, you need to download the last bits for 10.6.x to be able to go and get any later upgrade. The ones that may let a newest iphone or ipad work with it, are past SL10.6.8
Anyway, as you further verify the model build year and configuration specifications, report back.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • HI, I recently upgraded my operating system IOS 5.0.1 on an iphone 3gs. MY question is, how do I get the text messaging preview to just pop up so that I can see the name only when the lock screen is on? The conventional ways of doing this aren't working

HI, I recently upgraded my operating system IOS 5.0.1 on an iphone 3gs. My question is, how do I get the text messaging preview to just pop up so that I can see the name only when the lock screen is on? The conventional ways of doing this, such as using turning off the SMS preview under the "passcode lock", well that option no longer exists, or if it does, I'm somehow missing it.
When I go to the "messages" setting under settings on my phone, I still don't see an option of turning it off.
If I can just get the name of the person sending the message, as I had it before, I'd be happy.
    Help!

That option still exists in Settings > Notifications > Messages > Show Prview (OFF) and View in Lock Screen (ON). Here's how to configure your Notifications and Notification Center for iOS 5: http://iphone-and-i.blogspot.com/2012/01/how-to-customize-notification-center-in .html

Since your Mac probably came with 10.4, there is no longer a way to get 10.5 Leopard install media. IF it has the requirements, you may be able to upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard by buying the boxed install media at the Apple Store for $30.
