Upgrade Order 9.x to 10.5

We're currently running the below UC applications and I'm trying to determine the best order for migration:
CUCM 9.1.2
CUC 9.1.2
CUAC Enterprise 9.1.1
Does the Attendant Console have to be migrated first? Is anyone running the CUAC 9.x in a 10.x environment? If possible we would like to hold off on upgrading that component until later, but not sure if it's possible.

Thank you Jaime, that's what I figured, but was hoping I could do it last. Also, just to confirm, the CUCM and CUC can be done in either order, correct?

  • 10g Upgrade Order (DEV - QAS - PRD)

If I am upgrading Oracle 9.2.0.6 to 10.2.0.2, what issues will I face if I upgrade the landscape in the order of DEV, QAS, PRD.
I will wait a week between upgrades.
    Will transports fail?
Will SAP face any issues having different Oracle versions?
Do I have to upgrade DEV, QAS, PRD at the same time?

-> transports will not fail as long as the sap release will not change...
-> normally all sap systems should run smoothly on supported database platforms...10g should be no problem...the three system reside on different hosts?
to be sure (sap states that different kernel releases within one system landscape can lead to problems) try to keep the time between QAS and PRD very short and avoid transporting...
-> no, you don't have to upgrade all systems at the same time...a week between DEV and QAS is enough

  • Vista upgrade order doesn't seem to be correct

    Hi there!
The instructions in the PDF on the Toshiba Vista Upgrade site (http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=UK&ID=2006-10-Vista-Express-Upgrade-UK) don't seem to be correct. I've bought a Portege M400 on the 2nd of November, therefore after the start of the upgrade program. I also have a Vista capable logo on the laptop and the model number is the one listed in the Vista eligible list and therefore suitable for an upgrade.
But the problem starts when I go to the website, which is listed in the upgrade instruction (it just says go http://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/Vista/ and follow the instructions).
    OK, so let's go:
    A) I go to http://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/Vista/
    B) I make sure everything is set to English and United Kingdom.
    C) It asks me if I have an Upgrade Redemption Form - which I do not have - so I choose "No" (as far as I know, these forms are mainly for retail versions eligible for an upgrade).
    D) I click on Vista
    E) An information page comes up, I click next
    F) Now it asks me to choose the reseller - which is weird as there are only some manufacturers as Lenovo listed (Toshiba is not). So I click on the button "My computer reseller is not listed".
    G) A message appears: "If your Computer Reseller is not listed, your OEM may have a direct offer for Windows Vista Upgrade Products. Please contact your OEM directly for further details."
That's it. So what am I supposed to do now? The OEM is Toshiba and Toshiba is not listed as the reseller (and actually, it asks for the reseller not the manufacturer) and according to the instruction on the Toshiba Vista Upgrade page, I just have to follow the instructions on moduslink.com - which ends in the result that I have to ask my OEM (Toshiba) for an upgrade. So it is kind of a circle - Toshiba sends me to moduslink and moduslink back to Toshiba.
And by the way, Toshiba only lists in the upgrade instructions the need to have a receipt that falls in the upgrade period, the document doesn't ask for anything else - so I doubt that I am missing anything.
So what am I supposed to do and how can I order my Vista upgrade?
    Thanks!
    Alex

I got mine from a small store in Edinburgh, so not even Dixons. But anyway, Toshiba is offering the upgrade program to all customers who bought their computer after the 26th. It doesn't say that it must be bought from the Toshiba online store or from any other specific shop - it just says you must have a receipt showing that you bought the laptop after the 26th. Therefore, we both should be eligible for an upgrade. And even if we would have bought the computer directly from Toshiba, the problem would still be the same as Toshiba is not listed there. I doubt that e.g. Lenovo is selling Toshiba laptops ;)
So please, could somebody from Toshiba check this?
    Regards
    Alexander

  • Moduslink free Vista upgrade - order confirmed - one has hope

I now have hope that my free Vista upgrade might be delivered. Having gone through the Moduslink procedure and received the 'unrecoverablt error' message as well as the subsequent 'we cannot validate your COA number', I, like many others, was at a loss as to what to do next (in the absence of any real help from Moduslink).
However, out of curiosity I went back to the very start of the Moduslink procedure and clicked on the link 'check existing order'.
    https://upgradeweb.moduslink.com/Vista/ConsumerWebsite/(S(5ggosk45lxz42waxhpen4wfh))/GlobalLandingPage.aspx?oem=&Lang=
I then keyed in my COA number and e-mail address, and to my surprise it said my order was confirmed; it also gave me an 'order number'. It did not give a shipping date though.
I've subsequently e-mailed my order number with a copy of my proof of purchase to Moduslink (which they need apparently). I'm now awaiting a confirmation from them that the order will be shipped.
They have also responded to a couple of e-mails I've sent which is encouraging. They generally respond two days after I've sent my e-mail. Consequently, I'm hoping tomorrow they'll respond to my proof of purchase e-mail.
I hope this helps others. I should add that Moduslink advise it may take 6-8 weeks before the Vista upgrade is shipped but at least I have a little hope now. That said, I have not received it yet, so who knows??
    Mr C

I hope your posting will help other who tries to update the own XP to the Vista via Moduslink. Thanks for the info

  • No upgrade order confirmation received or a receipt shown in my account, except for retail installement plan contract. How do I know my order was processed since the 25th of September?

The device installment plan says I start paying in November... but how do I know the More plan with Verizon Edge was processed with my iphone upgrade. I never received email confirmation or receipt of my order--anywhere. It's been a couple of weeks. Please help!

        CrownPrincess,
Congrats on your new phone! It's surely important to understand your Edge Agreement and account plan. You can view your Agreement under Documents and Receipts section of your My Verizon account http://bit.ly/xB4iTc. Your current calling plan will be shown there, as well. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

  • Hardware/Software upgrade order

    Hi all,
I am currently running OS 10.3.9/FCP 4.5on my G5 with the stock 9800 video card. I am planning to upgrade my video card to an X800, as well as upgrading to OS 10.4x and FCP Studio. I am looking for some guidance as to what order to do the upgrades.
Any opinions or tips would be welcomed.

Personally, I would archive everything of importance on the computer. Then gather up all my install discs and serial numbers.
Restart the computer from the tiger install disc, COMPLETELY erase your hard drive and install tiger. Then run the upgrades to tiger and quicktime. Repair permissions. Restart. Then install your apps, repair permissions, run updates for the apps, repair permissions, restart etc.
Any other way leaves you open to having odd little leftovers from the old os and apps that can wreak havoc.
EDIT: Install tiger, then the card, then the apps.

  • Upgrade ordered via phone but nothing on account a...

after the issues with the online ordering i re-ordered over the phone and got a sales reference number and was told to expect upgrade within 3 working days
but via online account it says can take 24/48 hours to show on there, but shouldn't i have received an email confirmation by now that the order is placed?
or will that not arrive until it shows on my account

there's nothing showing on my account this is why i was questioning it
i finally managed to get through to someone but could hardly hear them and had to keep repeating myself - they say there is an order pending but probably won't get any confirmation about it until tomorrow and if i don't to then ring another number.
i think litterally depending on who you speak to depends on what information you are given back regarding an order.
i can't see why for some the order is on their account within a few minutes/hours, yet mine is still not there

  • Upgrade order for Mavericks Servers

I have 7 Mac Mini Servers I am wanting to upgrade to OSX 10.9.
I have three servers running ldap services. (2 seperate and one replicating)
I have a single mail server.
A server just operating as a share
2 servers hosting a database program we are using
All of these servers are running anything from 10.6.8 to 10.8.3 currently
I have verified that they can run 10.9 with thier current hardware.
I am going to be upgrading the clients to Mavericks as well.
I was told there is a particular order that would be best to upgrade the servers to prevent any unwanted problems trying to connect to each other.
Also would it be better to upgrade the clients to 10.9 first or the servers?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jon

  • Upgrading Order?

I have a MacBook Pro from 2007 that runs Tiger, can I upgrade straight to Mountain Lion? Or is there an order I need to follow?

You need to phone the online Apple Store, order a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD, and run Software Update to get to 10.6.8 first.

  • Eager Beaver Upgrader Orders Beware!

I ordered my FCE 3.5 upgrade through the Apple online store on May 18. The box arrived today and I set about installing the software. But when I launched it, it still said version 3.0! Looking closer at the disks and the box, they also said v 3.
There appears to have been a time after the FCE 3.5 upgrade was announced when the item number had not been updated. My Apple order item number matches the item number on the box for the old 3.0 upgrade. The item number is now listed correctly.
The only way I was able to get a refund for the old upgrade was because the new serial number had not been activated (I still get to pay their $10 restocking fee for an open box).
SO, if you ordered FCE 3.5 as an upgrade last week, when it comes check your order and make sure it really is 3.5. And don't open the software box if it isn't.
    Anyone else have this happen?

It seems rather disgraceful especially as most reputable retailers (in the UK) have been selling FCE3.0 for half price since January.

  • Upgrade Order - CUCM, CUC, & CUP

Customer has a virtual CUCM, CUC & CUP environment running on 2 hosts in the same chassis.  CUC & CUP are misbehaving due to known CPU utilization bugs and will be upgraded to latest SU.  Question is what to upgrade first?  CUC is the most unstable, so upgrading it first was my initial thought, then CUP and CUCM last.  Is there any reason to change this order of updates?
    CUCM 8.6(2a)SU2     update to 8.6(2a)SU5
    CUC 8.6(2a)SU3        update to 8.6(2a)SU5
    CUP 8.6(5)                 update to 8.6(5)SU3
    I appreciate it,
    Beau

You can upgrade CUCM or CUC in either order based on the versions you provided.  CUP should be upgraded after CUCM has been upgraded.

  • T61 Upgrading Order Process

    Hi Everyone,
I've already read through several of the upgrade threads for the T61 and have watched a couple of YouTube videos on it. However, I need help with how to order the steps of my upgrade (ie, which comes first).
I recently bought a refurbished Lenovo T61 Notebook Intel Core 2 Duo 1.80GHz 2GB Memory 80GB HDD 14.1" Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit), and I am planning on upgrading the RAM and HDD.So, I also bought:
    * 4GB 2X 2GB DDR2 667MHz PC2-5300 PC2-5400 DDR2 667 (200 PIN) SODIMM Laptop Memory, and
    * Crucial M500 240GB SATA 2.5-Inch 7mm Internal Solid State Drive CT240M500SSD1.
I don't have anything of importance installed on the T61, so I plan on doing a clean installation. I've downloaded the win7 premium 64 bit ISO, and the win7 USB/DVD download tool (I don't have the disc, just the key).
I really need help putting these upgrade steps in order. This is what I'm thinking so far:
    Step1: Install SDD.
    Step2: Reinstall Win7 64 bit from USB.
    Step3: Install the 4GB RAM.
    Step4: Install Middleton's BIOS.
Step5: Install the latest Crucial's Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) driver (fixes problems with Windows Updater -- accd to Amazon reviews).
Step6: Run Windows Updater to get latest updates.
I've read in other threads that you had to have a stable system before the Middleton BIOS, so I'm not really sure where that step comes in. I just don't want to fry my new(old) laptop. Oh, and do I need the 4GB RAM installed before trying to run Win7 64bit?
Thank you so much for your help!

    Hi Everyone,
Thought y'all might like an update. I've nearly finished the upgrade/update process -- I've been working on it all day.
Bottom line: Sweet success thanks to all of your helpful replies.
Here's the actual process that I used if you're curious...
    Pre-work:
    Made the bootable USB drives
    Took off password
    Disabled security chip
    Fully charged battery
    Plugged in
Step1: Installed Middleton BIOS while running my 32bit Win7.
Tried to run in Safe Mode, but got the “drivers failed to load” message. Went back to normal, booted it while in Windows, and SUCCESS!!
    Step2: Installed SSD.
    Easy. Done quickly.
    Step3: Installed 4 GB RAM.
Watched the YouTube video on it and got out my trusty screwdriver. Was able to unscrew three of the four screws. Spent about an hour googling ways to “remove a stuck screw in a laptop” and trying out the techniques. No luck and I was getting a little frustrated, so I decided that I will upgrade the RAM later when I take somewhere (a computer shop?) to get the screw out. I only need the 2 gb of RAM to run Win7 64 bit for the moment. To be done at a later date - maybe tomorrow.
Step4: Installed Crucial's Firmware Update Utility program and ran.
The M500 was already running the latest firmware.
    Step5: Reinstalled Win7 64 bit from USB.
Used Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool and the Home Premium 64 bit iso from digital river.
Loaded the two files onto a newly formatted USB drive and plugged that into the laptop. Got the “NTLDR is missing message”, so I spent a couple of hours googling what to do. I checked the BIOS startup and it was already set to boot from my USB drive. I looked into the iso file from my other computer and saw that there wasn’t an NTLDR file. So, I spent a while trying to find this file so I could download it. Couldn’t find it, so I took a break.
Reformatted my USB and ran the usb/dvd tool again. This time, at the end of the steps, the window status was: “Files copied successfully. However, we were unable to run boot sect to make the USB device bootable…”  A-ha… That’s what it was.
I went to a family computer that was running Windows 8, and decided to burn the programs to a DVD-R instead. I still used the Win7 USB/DVD tool (which worked).
DVD worked. Install took 40 mins with 2 restarts.
    Step6: Install Crucial's RST driver.
Didn't. I'm not using the old HDD, but when I do, I'll probably install this.
    Step7: Get Lenovo updates.
Some of the first few downloads I tried required updated items (like .NET 4.0, etc.). So, I decided to run Windows Updater first - which needed an update as well.
    Step8: Run Windows Updater.
    1 hour and 32 minutes, 168 updates, 2 restarts.
    Step 9: Download anti-virus software.
    Check.
    Step 10: Downloaded Lenovo updates.
    10 minutes and 13 updates.
    Step 11: Re-do boot order.
And, that, is a happy laptop!
Tomorrow I'll get the screw out so I can upgrade my RAM, but I'm done for tonight.
    Much love to you all!
    Cheers!

        Hello Donna9400,
I'm glad to see that you are excited to experience all of the amazing features that the iPhone 5S has to offer. We are working around the clock to get out as many 5S to our customers as possible. While I'm glad that you placed another order, when the original order is canceled then the new order does not take the place in line as the original one. May I ask were you able to get your old device activated? If not then please advise of the issue that you are running into so we can help.
    Thank you...

  • Cancel shipped upgrade order?

I ordereda CPO Fascinate on Wednesday. the 2nd day shipping had it arriving on MONDAY the 28th (upsetting).
My question is, If I decline the delivery and the device comes back, VZW will just undo all the changes on the acct and go back to an upgrade-ready state, right? Or no? Please let me know what you can...
Oh and also on another note, how would it work if i tried to take that phone to the store to exchange for something else? iPhone, perhaps?

You cannot cancel an order that has shipped. Your best bet would be to return the device once you receive it, and your account should go back to the way it was before, and then you can go into a store and purchase an iPhone. You cannot purchase a device online and return it to a store, it must be returned through the mail. Keep in mind that Verizon's recent exchange policy change limits you to 1 exchange, so once you return this phone and get another, you will not be able to exchange that phone again.
