Upgrade Question: selected data transfer

I am finally going to retire my old Macbook Pro after using it for five years. So I need to transfer all my data from my old Macbook pro to the new Macbook pro. However my old macbook pro has accumulated a lot of crap over the last 5 years (e.g applications that I don't use any longer) that slows down my computer. My plan is to only copy my itunes music library (plus picture files) and iphoto library (plus audio files) on a fresh new laptop, and install only the softwares that I actively use all over again.
Anyone knows how can I only transfer itunes and iphoto related data using my time machine backup please? The last time I upgraded to my Snow Leopard it copied everything.

You are certainly right in that readLine() is clearly defined. However according to the O'Reilly book "Java Network Programming":
"If the carriage return is the last character in the [BufferedReader] stream (a very likely occurrance if the stream originates from a Macintosh or a file created on a Macintosh), then readLine() hangs, waiting for the last character that isn't forthcoming"
So it is not enough just to ensure that your program is running on Windoze or Unix, but it must also never send or receive a file created on a Mac, and must never talk to Macintosh Clients or Servers.
Some streams will be terminated by -1, which you could use to resolve the problem, but some won't. Better simply to avoid readLine() where possible.
(Note that I don't have a mac to test this on, but I'm simply drawing conclusions).

T-3 to Centro selective data transfer.

I have been using a Palm PDA since 1997 I have transfered my data from the original PalmIIIx to the IIIc, M505, Tungsten, T2, and the T3. I recently bought the Centro and I want to transfer selctive data from the T3. I don't need to access all the records back to 1997.
I would like to select ranges of dates to transfer from the T-3 to the Centro.
Last summer I saw a third party software that would included the ablility to choose calander records by date range and selection of memos and other data by multiple criteria for transfer from one PDA model to another that one might encounter during an upgrade.
At that moment I did not have the time to check the software for reveiw comments so I did not order it. Now I am not able to find it.
Any one have a slolution to my issues short of transfering all the data or just individual records .

You could beam the data from the old device over to the new device. I believe the T3 allows a date range for that process.

Selective data transfer to new MacBook Pro?

I have a iMac at home and just purchased a MacBook Pro. I want to just selectively transfer things such as some of the photos from iPhoto and some of the music from iTunes but I want to keep the MacBook "cleaner" than the iMac is, what is the best way to do a selective transfer of things? I was planning on using a thumbdrive to transfer the files that I wanted but not sure about the photos and music. Thanks.

UPGRADING MY IPHONE - DATA TRANSFER AND DELETION

i have just upgraded from an iphone 3gs to an iphone 4. i am going to give the 3gs to my sister. i want to delete all data from the 3gs. i have read that all you need to do is first sync to itunes to create a back up and then hit the settings button erase all data. is this all you need to do to erase all data and that no residual data is left.
with the new iphone 4 - do i just then plug it into itunes and it will retrieve all the data i had on the 3gs?

The Erase All Content and Settings option on the iPhone at Setting > General > Reset is a secure erase of all content and settings - a secure erase of everything on the iPhone except for the firmware/OS as if the iPhone has not been used.

N95 8GB reboots periodically in data transfer mode

I have a new N95 8GB running firmware v20. Unfortunately, when I use the genuine USB cable and select "Data Transfer Mode" the phone reboots 60 seconds after I connect the cable (and thereafter each 60 seconds when I don't touch the phone).
I have tried with a non-genuine cable and the behaviour is the same.
Coincidentally the "Power Save Time-out" is set to 60 seconds. When I change this to another value, say 40 seconds, then the above rebooting happens every 40 seconds.
This appears to be a phone bug and makes it extremely difficult to use data transfer mode, unless you can transfer files within the power save time-out period, or unless you are prepared to press a button on the phone within this period.

Well,rotateme works perfectly for me and i have a n95 8gb too.So there are two things that might happening.
1.You are doing something wrong with the whole installation(does rotateme works when you install it?)
2.You downloaded your self a corrapted or somekind of a virus or a bug .sis file and installed it to your phone.
Why dont you try to download one other rotateme file for you?You can find plenty rotateme from a lot of users.I can send you mine,if you want send me an e-mail and i`ll send to you the .sis file that i used and as i said,it works fine for me.

IDoc based asychronus data transfer

Hello Experts,
IDoc based asynchronus data transfer from a non-SAP application to BW is required to be set up.
I understand that SOAP based XML data transfer will achieve the same goal - however our requirement is to use IDocs. It would essentially be a push type of extractor sending data to BW asynchronusly.
Has anyone tried this before? Please share your experiance/ideas.

you will have the option when you create the infocube. select "Data transfer wth Direct Access" option. Then you create the DTP by giving the data source details.Once you have created the DTP, right lick on cube and select activate direct access.

Hi John,
Go to Transaction code - VOFM.
In the menu select Data Transfer and select where you want maintain the copying requirements i.e. at the order level, delivery level etc.
Here, you can either create a new routine or change the existing routine according to your requirement.
Make sure you activate the routine (click on Edit - Activate from menu) once you are done with the routine.

My nokia n 95 data transfer problems

hi guys i just got this n 95 a week ago and i am trying to transfer video files to my nokia phone
but when i connect it to usb and select "data transfer mode"
its giving me a message on my phone
"USB data transfer mode activated. Mass memory may not be used during this time"
and i am not able to save files to my phone
when i save it its showivg me on my computer when i open "Removable disk D" drive my files are in phone like the vedeo file but when i disconnect the phone and go to my videos its empty
i just dontknow what should i do should i return the phone or what
please someone help me

Hi,
maybe format of video files you've copied to the device memory are not readable by phone. Did you convert it using Nokia Video Manager (part of Nokia PC Suite) on 3gp or mp4.
And if you connect phone with PC use PC Suite mode instead of the USB. You will have acces to all yours phone memories

ICR Process 003 - question about data selection (table FBICRC003A)

Hello, I am implementing ICR process 003. We are doing several test and we I have some questions that I hope you can help me:
1 - If I run transaction FBICS3 - Customer/Vendor( Select Documents) and then FBICA3 - Customer/Vendor (Document Assignment ) several times (the same selection criteria) will the same documents be selected redundantly and will be stored redundantly in table FBICRC003A? I expected that this will not happen but It seems to happen in my test environment. (?)
2- If I need to delete the data stored in ICR '003' functionality I need to use transaction GCDE. The problem as I am using ledger '0L' for '003' process I cannot "delete data of one ledger" functionality -that allows to set selection data- and I have to "delete the data of an entire data group" that deletes all data stored in FBICRC003A & FBICRC003T tables. Should I set another ledger for '003' process in order to delete data using selection criteria? Is it recommended to not to use '0L' and create a new one?
I have read in reference documentation that "is not necessary to set up a SL", but since all my productive companies are running in the same client that is the ICR cliente I am wondering if could be better to create and set a SL.

we have created a RFC in order to get data from client B to client A (where ICR system is placed). The summary is:
I need to import vendors/customer data from Client B that belongs to a certain company code "0001". The company is called "X" in both clients A & B although it only exists as a company code (FI) in Client B and just as a company (and trading partner) in client A.
Client A:
1- have set company "0001" as a "Company to be reconciled" at FBIC032:
RFC destination = ""
RFC destination for data selection = "ZRFC0001"
Local company= ""
Data Source="Documents of Current Process"
Separate Selection Process= "X"
Data Transfer Type="Asynchronous via Direct RFC Connection"
Sender field for reference number = "XBLNR"
Client B:
1- I have created the companies (V_T880) that I will need in order to inform trading partner on vendor's master data.
2- I have assigned company code '0001' to company "X"
3- I have assigned trading partners created on step 1 to vendors
4- I have post few FI documents with trading partners informed.
Then I run FBICS3 - Customer/Vendor: Select Documents in background but the programs takes a lot of time and do not select any document.
Do you think that I am missing something?

Hi Skype Team/Community,
Data Transfer rate has shot upto 10 times after upgrade to 7.2.0.103 today.
Where it used to be ~350Kbps upload and ~500Kbps download for a three-member video conference, it is now ~2.5Mbps upload and ~3.5 Mbps download for the same three-member video conference.
Is there a way to switch back to the previous version?
Please help!!

Sadly, neither of these posts provide any answers (as of 9/4/09). It seems there's a problem with some cameras and iPhoto and Snow Leopard. The only helpful advice was to use a USB card reader which doesn't make sense in my case since the EX-S500 has it's own dock specifically for transferring pictures. Oh well, I guess I'll wait and see if Apple fixes this in 10.6.1.

SQL Question: Selecting earliest date time

I've a table that contains multiple transactions per any given day.
For each day of the month, I'm trying to find the earliest transaction possible. Below is my table data:

Upgradation issue 4.6C to 4.7 for DP90-Data transfer module not allowed

Hi All.
We have a issue in upgradation project form 4.6C to 4.7.
Process we follow is Contract,Notification,Service order,Debit memo request.
While doing DP90 for service order we are facing a error as <b>Data transfer module is not allowed</b>
Afetr this system gives you only option to EXIT.
In the log display we get following message :
Data transfer module is not allowed
Message no. V1247
Diagnosis
A wrong data transfer module was entered in Customizing for copying control. When you enter a sales order with reference to a quotation, you cannot copy header data from an invoice, for example. The module number is 306.
System Response
Processing is terminated.
Procedure
Check the copying control for your transaction in Customizing or contact your system administrator.
Any idea how to deal with this

There is a standard SAP program: SDTXT1AID. Start it, and the upper section you can find your incomplete parameters. Sign your relevant parameters (or all) and F8
(not test case).

Question: New Hard Drive and Data Transfer Kit Device

Yep, I go another HDD this time for my lil Compaq Persario 700 series notebook OS Win XP. I bought a DriveWire Univeral Adapter & Data Transfer Kit. I want to know if there would be any issue transferring my iTunes Library to my new HDD? I do have some music apart of my iTunes Library that's DRM protected. Should still deactivate my account during the transfer . . . that is, if it's possible. Thank you for any assistance your can give me. Itunes 10 by the way.

From what you posted, you should be able to set the itunes media folder location to the exHD and then run the ituens consolidate library command.
That will put your itunes library content onto the exHD.

Pay attention to this note from it
+Note: If you move your library to an external drive, you'll need to power up and connect the drive before starting iTunes. If you don't, iTunes will prompt you to either locate the library or to create a new library (which will result in an empty library). No matter what, it's always a good idea to have a backup of the media you have in iTunes.+
That means you MUST have the exHD connected BEFORe starting itunes. WHat it doesn't mention is, it always needs to have the same drive letter. WIndows can change USB port drive letter without telling you it's doing it. Best practice, is to assign a permanent drive letter such as m: for Media. You can assign drive letters using windows disk manager.
There's no need to deactivate any account during this procedure - why do you think you should?

Data transfer with some errors on registers. (Novice question)

Hi experts.
First of all i wat to say that i'm realtively novice in BW.
I have an ods object. I have a transformation>Data Transfer Processes>Infopackage to load data to it.
I execute this with a process chain.
well the roblem is that some registers I get are erroeous. That's ok, i just want lo load the OK regs, but when this happens the sistem does't load any.
I want to load only the good registers and be reported about the errors too.
Can someone please give me some advice about this?? I think thje secret is in the error handling customizing on the DTP, and maybe create a error DTP and something in the infopackage.
Any tip to me please?

Hi,
you need to maintain some parameters in the update tab of the dtp.
a) set the error handling to update valid records, reporting possible (request green)
b) enhance the no. of error records to the size of the data packet.
c) create a error dtp
Now all records without error will be updated, the request will be green and so available for reporting. The records with errors will go to the error stack and can be edited there. The records of the error stack will be updated thru a error dtp.

what is the advantage of the static class here? And in my case, i have the session beans and the entity beans deployed on a different server, would that make a difference for the advantage?
