Upgrade serials Creative Suite 2

I have 3 copies of Adobe Creative Suite 2.  One copy is premium and two copies of standard.  These were upgrades from previous copies of the software and each time I try to install, the serial numbers show that previous version needed.  I have been unable to locate the previous versions of software that were purchased since this was quite some time ago but do have a Photoshop 6 installation available.  When trying this, it is still unable to locate installation and continue with CS2 install.  We have since purchased CS4 full version to continue but the use of at least one of these CS2 licenses is required for work here.  Is there a way to complete this installation?
Any help with this process is appreciated.

I was not receiving any error, simply a box stating that the installation could not find the previous ps install to verify proof of previous versions.  I went ahead and completed a full install of the previous photoshop and it was still not continuing passed this verification.  After a restart of the computer, I started the installation again and it was able to continue and found the previous installation just fine.  Since I have a 64 bit win 7 PC, it also had a little trouble with the file path for installation but I used the DOS format of C:\Progra~2\Adobe for install and now everything is going well.  Thanks for the reply!

I bought the upgrade to Creative Suite 6 Standard, and the installation system asks me the serial number of my previous version (CS 5.5). I insert it, but it tells me it is uncorrect.
The machine where I'm trying to install the Creative Suite Standard CS 6 uses Windows 8 and no Adobe programs are installed here. When I bought the Creative Standard CS 5.5 I registered it for Mac platform, but I have also a serial number for Windows and it doesn't work.
I tried to register a new product in my Adobe account, using the Windows Serial number that I received when I bought CS 5.5, but it doesn't work.
    Thank you.

Yes, I have a TLP license, so which kind of upgrade should I buy?

While upgrading Adobe Creative Suite CS4 ME into Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 Design Premium, I get an error saying This serial number is not of a qualifying product, please try another. I used to be able to get a code from customer service but I can't get to the chat. Please advise!!!!

MoeGhazal I reviewed your account and it looks like you have have upgraded from a CS4 volume license for Design Premium to a retail upgrade of Design Premium 5.5.
I also show that you made two purchases of CS5.5 Design Premium but the second purchase was canceled.  Please make sure you are utilizing the serial number which ends in 7886.
If you are using the correct serial number then it is likely the installer will not recognize your volume license CS4 serial number as being valid for an upgrade.  If you can contact our support team then you can be walked through an unlocking procedure to allow you to proceed with the installation.  You can contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care.  You may want to try installing a web browser you have not previously utilized.  It is likely a toolbar or some other software application is affecting your ability to access chat support successfully.
If you are still unable to reach our support team then please verify the information under your account is accurate.  If you can please then update this discussion after confirming this then I can request a member of our support team contact you directly.
Again I would recommend reaching out directly if possible as it will be the most efficient method of resolving your current error.

  • What is the procedure when upgrading to Creative Suite 5 Production Premium?

    Hello!
In 2006 I bought the Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio Premium. The procedure when activating the installation I don't remember exactly. The computer on which the Suite was installed doesn't have an internet connection (I thought that was the simplest and safest thing to do; I have another computer for that purpose).
Now, if I want to upgrade to Creative Suite 5 on a newly bought i7 computer, what is the procedure? What do I need to prove to Adobe that I'm eligible for the upgrade? Please tell me the serial number on the box is enough... my old editing computer doesn't start at all so any info contained there is unobtainable at the moment.

The serial number of the old version - is that, by any chance, something you get from Adobe via internet or is it stuck on the box with the manuals and DVDs?I can't remember myself.
I kept the following (I don't even know if it is from Adobe) on my other (internet) computer. Someone recognizes this as specifically relating to Production Studio, when it comes to the serial number format for example? L is a letter and N is a number.
Below are your Serial and Authorization keys.
Enter them in the "Enter registration keys" window, which can be found at:
"Help menu" -> "Enter registration keys".
    Serial-key: NNLL-LLLN-LLLL-LNLL  Auth-key: LLLN-NLNL-NLLN
As I said, I can't access info on my old editing computer. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Upgraded to Creative suite 5 from photoshop CS5

Hi, I bought Photoshop CS5 standalone a while ago but have now bought creative suite CS5 production which comes with photoshop extended version. During the install it said it wouldn't reinstall photoshop, but is there much of a difference between standard and extended versions? Will it just install the extra bits which as far as I know have something to do with video work?
Basically should I have reinstalled photoshop to get the extended version?

We recently upgrade from Creative Suite 5.5 to 6.0. Can you rename files that had been created in the older, we are getting permission errors and not sure how to resolve th issue?

I have no idea what you're talking about.
I assume, however, that this about one particular application. Please post in the forum for that application.
IOW, if you're having a Photoshop problem, post in the Photoshop forum.

  • Upgrade to Creative Suite

I just purchased an upgrade to Creative Suite 5.5. Do I need to unload Pro X before installing Creative Suite?

No. I had Acrobat Pro before installing CS 5.5. There are advantages and disadvantages to leaving it in place. You are leaving a fully usable license for Acrobat Pro X that could be used on another computer. The ultimate choice is yours. CS 5.5 is more than willing to leave your installation of Acrobat Pro X in place.

  • Upgrade to Creative Suite Prod Premium

Hello all - been a long time since I've hung around here and that's part of the problem...
I'm looking to buy the Creative Suite 4 Production Premium edition but am uncertain (a little confused) about whether I qualify for the best upgrade option. I own two copies of the Video Collection (one v1.0 and one v1.5, which include Pro 1.x, AE 1.x and Audition 1.x).
When choosing to buy online, and selecting 'Upgrade' I'm offered 3 choices for the product I own. I don't have CS3 so that's out of the equation BUT then I'm lost. The second option appears to be 'upgrade from any one product' but I don't have just one product - I own a collection. The 3 option is 'upgrade from any one suite or video bundle' which sounds like the one for me, but the listed products don't include the Video Collection.
I'm hoping that the video collection suites qualify me for the 3rd option but I don't want to buy and have delivered only to find the s/w won't install because the serials aren't valid.
Can anyone confirm whether the Video Collection suites are permitted upgrade options for this third (cheapest) upgrade price?
    Jon

AFAIK, the collections are just that, a collection of individual
applications which would leave you at the upgrade from a single
    application stage.
But even at that, it sounds like you've got some very old apps which
would probably leave out of the upgrade path altogether.
Your best bet would be to call Adobe.

  • Upgrading from Creative Suite 4

    Heey everybody,
I have an easy question, I hope. Currently the company where I work uses Creative Suite 4.
But because of the different work I have to do as them, I need the latest adobe products. So obviously I go for CC.
Just one thing I like to know for sure, since my co-workers still use the Creative Suite 4. If I use the serial of that to get the discount, does the serial still works for my co-workers?
I don't want to de-activate or upgrade the serial so that they can't work on it anymore.
I hope I explained it good enough to understand and I hope someone can help me out with this one!
    Thanks in advance.
    Greetings,
    Donny

    Hi Donny
If you use a CS4 product to get the discount on Creative Cloud, the CS4 serial number/product will still work.
One thing to mention is that the CS4 serial number needs to be registered to the Adobe ID that will be used during the Creative Cloud sign up process.  Also, the discount doesn't apply to volume licensing customers.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
    Bev
