Upgrade - Sim not working

Hi I upgraded through Carphone Warehouse on Thursday evening (24/7/15). Went from iphone 4s to Galaxy S6 so needed a new sim card but the number has not transferred over to the new phone yet. How long should this take? I've had txts from EE saying my plan has been updated so all the info seems to have swapped, just not the number. Iphone 4s still works but Galaxy S6 is showing a different number. Looks like I can call from it but can't text and also has no internet unless on wifi. All calls and texts are coming through on the iphone. Also tried to activate the sim incase it was this but only has 12 digits instead of 14. Any advice before I try calling customer service? Thanks.

This is so unfortunate. Holmdel, I would also report this to Apple to have it on record.
You can make Apple aware of this at: http://apple.com/feedback/iphone.html, and in the meantime you'll have to use AssistiveTouch. Hopefully when more people come forward, they will fix this bug in the next update.

Ask the carrier in the US who the phone is locked to if they will unlock it for you - put an unlock request into that carrier.
Other than that and if they refuse to unlock it, then there is nothing you can do except buy a new phone.

IPhoto Library Upgrader is not working for me.

I am running a Mac Mini 2.5 GHz Core i5. (This is the base model of the current Mac mini as of August 2013.) Running 10.8.4.
I am trying to get iPhoto to run with an old photo library from iPhoto 4. (Yes, really. It's a long story.) I was happy to see that Apple put out iPhoto Library Upgrader, because I was expecting to have a hard time upgrading. But it's not working for me. I downloaded the Upgrader and ran it (several times). However, when I try to start iPhoto from the old library, I still get the "To open your library with this version of iPhoto, it first needs to be prepared."
To save you from asking the obvious questions:
1. I ran the Upgrader, instead of just downloading it.
2. I am sure I selected the old library to be upgraded.
3. The Upgrader runs, tells me it's done, and asks me if I want to launch iPhoto. When I say yes (or when I just launch iPhoto separately), I get the error message again.
4. iPhoto will not let me launch with the command option keys pressed. I still get the error message.
5. I can launch with the option key pressed, but if I select the old library, I get the error message.
6. I can import the old library, but then I lose all my organization of photos.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

Try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
or with Lion and Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
3 - launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and try to open the "upgraded" libraryu again.
NOTE 1: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
NOTE 2: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

Database Upgrade Agent not working for upgrading Oracle 9i DB to Oracle 10i

Hi All,
Presently I have completed my Oracle 10i installation on Solaris Server but I am facing an issue during the upgrade process of Oracle 9i to 10g. Whenever I try to upgrade the 9i databases to 10g using DBUA(Database Upgrade assistant) I am facing an issue that Data base not running from oracle home or pfile not found. The exact error message says:-
The upgrade assistant failed in bringing up the database XIPCOTS. Oracle Home /opt/apps/home/oracle9i/product/releases/92/92 obtained from file /var/opt/oracle/oratab was used to connect to the database. Either the database is not running from Oracle Home /opt/apps/home/oracle9i/product/releases/92/92 or the correct Initialisation parameter file (pfile) was not found. To start the database , Oracle needs the pfile. Provide the full path name of the init file for the database XIPCOTS.
In reality the XIPCOTS database is running fine in Oracle 9i and we can connect it using PL/SQL developer in windows.I have also provided the path of pfile but it is still not accepting the same.
Path of pfile I provided :- /XIP/ofaroot/XIPCOTS/pfile/initXIPCOTS.ora
Any help or suggestions would be greately appreciated.
Our both Oracle 9i and 10g are installed on same Solaris server where solaris version is 9
Installation path for 9i :- /opt/apps/home/oracle9i/product/releases/92/92
Installation path for 10g :- /opt/apps/home/oracle/product/releases/10201
Oracle 9i version :- 9.2.0.7

Can you please mention the specific folder name under oracle home where we need to put this pfile because there are two folder dbs and ds I have allready tried putting it inside dbs its not working. And my home path is correct I hope and is set for oracle 9i directories in the .oraenv file do we need to set it for oracle 10g before the DBUA upgrade.

Docomo sim not working in lumia 710

Im using using nokia lumia 710 since 6 months with idea network . But , recently when i changed my sim from idea to docomo its not working properly why? incoming calls,message sending and receiving are fine but outgoing calls are going and even internet is also not working. Does it requires any change in settings. I even can't call the customer care call . Could anyone help me....

[SOLVED] Xorg upgrade + Catalyst = not working

After my last upgrade Catalyst does not work anymore. Is it posible to downgrade Xorg to older version? I tried adding:

...to pacman.conf but when i tried to install catalyst i get only this:

BBM w/Voice upgrade Bluetooth not working

I upgrade to the new BBM w/voice and now the bluetooth is not working. I have it hook up through my car and have tried resetting everything and still not working. My friend is having the same issue after the upgrade and he has the Blackberry Bold.

To get mine working I have to pull the battery, however Bluetooth will stop working once you use BBM with voice again.

Canadian sim not working with uk N900

i landed in canada a few days ago and bought a Rogers pay as you go sim, for the phone to say unrecognised. Is there a way to get it working? I'm moving here permanently in a few months and want to keep the phone. Itworks here but i'm paying UK roaming rates for texts and calls which obviously isn't viable long term

N900 spec:
GSM 1800
GSM 1900
GSM 850
GSM 900
WCDMA Band I (2100)
WCDMA Band IV (1700/2100)
WCDMA Band VIII (900)
Rogers in Canada:
GSM/GPRS/EDGE on the 850 and 1900 MHz bands (Also known as 2G GSM, or 2.5G in the case of EDGE)
UMTS/HSPA on the 850 and 1900 MHz bands (Also known as 3G GSM)
OUCH!!! I could be wrong, but the N900's bands (900,1700,2100) don't seem to overlap with Rogers 3G bands (850,1900) so no 3G for you over there?
As for not recognising the sim, might this be a rediculous UK firmware issue? Are you using a global or UK firmware version? Flashing to a global one mightn't help since it's unlikely to update any radio firmware at this stage..
Other people have reported using the N900 on Rogers (2G only) with relatively few problems.. perhaps there's something funky with their payg sims?
Which network do you roam onto? I take it it's rogers?
Does the sim definitely work? Any chance it might be dead.. or in need of some perculiar activation?

Equium A300D - Toshiba ATI display driver upgrade is not working

Has anybody else found the Equium A300D PSAK2E Windows Vista 32 bit Toshiba ATI display driver download will not work from the download centre? If you choose run, the download causes the windows explorer to crash during the install and the upgrade fails, the same with save and the install does not self install.
I have been trying to get the TV out S-Video port working. See thread on TV out not working. I have tried everything. has anybody else got this problem as Toshiba are unaware of any problems with the S Video TV out not working on this machine.

The down load downloads ok but when you try and unzip it, then install it halfay through you get an error message stating windows explorer has stopped working and it has crashed. The Graphic card then will not work. I have tried uninstalling all the ATI software and deleting the left over files but it still wont install.
I have downloaded the programme from the ATI site and this installed ok and the graphic card is working. The s video tv port still will not work.
I have gone into great detail on the post regarding the TV out not working about what i have done. When the s video lead is connected the computer can see the tv but will not output, when you try and enable the display the display will not enable. I have used the FN f5 key with no success, changed settings on the avi controller and display settings in the control panel
I will take the machine back to where i bought it from next week and see if they can get it to work!
