Hi All,
I also faced a similar issue during upgrade. Some useful findings.
1. Only super user can access this /n/ASU/START
2. All the obligatory executable tasks are automatically performed by the system automatically during upgrade. SAPADM. Only errors (if any) are to be corrected.
3. Some of the tasks are only to go through some SAP notes as a precaution before upgrade.
4. Execute all the checks /n/ASU/UPGRADE
5. This surely can be skipped, but not advisable.

Step-By-Step Decom Process Post O365 Migration.
Hello Geeks,
We have successfully Migrated to Office 365.
But still have Exchange 2007 & 2010 servers on-premises.
Would like to know the procedure to Uninstall them and also would like to manage them from AD.
So looking forward for information on:
1. Cutover process,
2. Dependencies need to be checked
3. crusial things need to be taken care of.
Thanks,
PrashantHi,
After you’ve verified that all email is being routed directly to the Exchange Online mailboxes, have completed the migration, you can uninstall Exchange from your servers and remove your on-premises Exchange organization.

12.1.1 POST-upgrade ---verify concurrent process
I have upgraded 11.5.10.to 12.1.1 successfully when I was running post upgrade
Oracle® Applications
Upgrade Guide
Release 11i to 12.1.1
Part No. E14010-01
chapter 4
Step 1: Verify completion of concurrent programs (recommended)
The upgrade process creates numerous concurrent program requests. Once you bring
up the application tier, these programs run automatically to complete tasks such as data
cleanup and upgrades to historical data, among others. You can run these programs in
the background, while your system is up and running and users are active, unless
otherwise instructed in the product-specific sections of this book.
Before you continue, be sure all the concurrent programs generated by the upgrade
have run successfully. In the Required Post Upgrade Jobs section of E-Business Suite
Release 12 Upgrade Sizing and Best Practices (Doc ID: 399362.1), you will find a list of the
distinct concurrent programs included in the upgrade process. The Best Practices
section includes a recommendation on how to isolate these programs (and all their
executions) into a separate concurrent manager queue, which you can use for
processing.
post upgrade concurrent request were around 989 but
by mistake I stopped the concurrent manager and I ran cmclean.sql --:(
then after some time I shut abort the database
please tell me what should I do now
what impact will cmclean and shut abort will have ?
how do i know which request are clean by cmclean
and how can I ran them again??

Upgrade 46C to ECC 6 0 STEP BY STEP ---Developing
Now the upgrade has reached the "POST Upgrade Steps" which means Its open to the SECURITY ( Authorizations ) to come in.
1. First I have doing the SU25.
Question -->Do I need to run (1) on SU25 .
Answer:NO this is only for IInstallation of PFCG. for upgrading to higher releases only Steps 2 down are needed.
Please correct me if I am wrong or have additional information which you want to share> The only way they are going to see what changes have been made is from the change logs for the roles. You can look at tables which show differences in the proposal values but they are worthless unless they map 100% to the only changes shown in the roles.
I think this is what GG is looking for, but as you mention there are both system and audit skill pre-requisites.
The auditor needs to know and have confidendence in the before concept if roles are to be upgraded via SU25.
The auditor needs to have knowledge about the release being upgraded to, and which changes would be required (and opportunities made use of to use new features... potentially also redesigning existing roles in new ones...)
And then map the expected changes (that is their job) to the actual ones (the tools which Alex has mentioned).
My recommendation would be to use the "you navigate, I drive" approach before giving the auditor access to do a comparison and get lost on their own, potentially.
That way you know what the auditor is capable of, and the auditor has a better understanding of your upgrade strategy.
For major release upgrades, redesigning role concepts are an opportunity which should not be missed, and I think a reasonable and skilled auditor should understand that.
> A potential alternative would be to set up an RFC connection to the system which your pre-upgrade roles were backed up to and then run a comparison between each role in the backup and the current system.
That could be usefull as well for a snapshot of expected changes between the "real roles" and the upgraded roles in a sandbox, all else (and coding) assumed the same between the release upgrades (which is of course not the case...) It would be helpfull to find transactions for which the coding has officially changed or are now officially the leading transactions for the proposal indicators.
I have not tried that either - but I think it would be usefull information for the functional folks and developers (including role developers).

Upgrading Oracle Text - Post upgrade step 10.2 to 11.2
I already upgraded my 10.2.0.4 database to 11.2.0.1 and have to do post upgrade steps. In step 39 of Manual guideline (837570.1) is not clear for me. If some one can explain further would be appriciated. When i check my source ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/ctxf102.txt or ctxf102.sql
Step 39
Upgrading Oracle Text
Copy the following files from the previous Oracle home to the new Oracle home:
* Stemming user-dictionary files
* User-modified KOREAN_MORPH_LEXER dictionary files
* USER_FILTER executables
To obtain a list of the above files, use:
$ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/ctxf<version>.txt
$ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/ctxf<version>.sql
where version is 920,101,102
For instance, if upgrading from 10.2.0
*1. For dictionary files check*
*$ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/ctxf102.txt*
*2. Execute the script as database user SYS,SYSTEM, or CTXSYS*
*$ORACLE_HOME/ctx/admin/ctxf102.sql*
If your Oracle Text index uses KOREAN_LEXER which was deprecated in Oracle 9i and desupported in Oracle 10g Release 2, see below Note for further information on manual migration from KOREAN_LEXER to KOREAN_MORPH_LEXER.
Note 300172.1 Obsolescence of KOREAN_LEXER Lexer TypeHi Srini
Thank you very much. now i got it.
Oracle asked me to identify the CTXCAT indexes with KOREAN_LEXER execute the following query as user CTXSYS: if nothing return then i can skip this step.
SELECT idx_name
FROM ctxsys.ctx_indexes
WHERE idx_type = 'CTXCAT'
AND idx_name IN
(SELECT ixo_index_name
FROM ctxsys.ctx_index_objects
WHERE ixo_class = 'LEXER'
AND ixo_object = 'KOREAN_MORPH_LEXER ');
SELECT isl_index_owner,isl_index_name,isl_language
FROM CTXSYS.ctx_index_sub_lexers
WHERE isl_object = 'KOREAN_MORPH_LEXER'; -

Updating Stalled Process Post ES2 Upgrade
I just upgraded our server from 8.2 to ES2 SP2. I had several active process instances before the upgrade that I'm testing post upgrade.
The process I'm testing uses a Query Single Row Operation which is stalling. It's stalling because I don't have a required parameter(Data Mapping) defined. This parameter was not required in 8.2 so it worked fine.
So I fixed that issue with the process(after creating an application and importing the process), and attempted a retry on the process, but that is not working. Livecycle continues to use the invalid version of the process that does not specify the required parameter when I attempt a retry.
So, my question is how can I update the "active" version of the upgraded process and retry the stalled process instances?The "deploy" option in the application version menu is apparently what I was looking for.
