Upgrade to 10.1.3.3 problem
hi all
I've upgraded AS version 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.3 and encountered following problems with BPEL:
1. db adapter returns empty records no matter what query I execute. I use Oracle 10g database.
I upgraded my JDeveloper to 10.1.3.3 and redeployed failing component but it didn't help.
2.It seems like default parser is replaced (to Xerces) I thought 10.1.3.3 supposed to be patchset only without any new functionality.
Any ideas ?

Are you using a stored procedure, or a table/view? If a SP, then is the empty collection you're getting from an OUT (or IN/OUT) parameter of that SP?

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.) -
Using 2006 iMac running Mac OS 10.6.8.
My iTunes App (11.3.1) will not launch.
Upgraded to iTunes (11.4) but problem persists.

My iTunes stopped working after I did a couple of software updates that got my iTunes up to v. 11.4. Since that update, I can't get iTunes to open at all, neither from my dock nor from the Applications menu.
I'm wondering: Perhaps these latest iTunes updates are simply too advanced for my 10.6.8 operating system? If that's the case, how can I backtrack to an earlier version of iTunes that is compatible with my computer OS?

It isn’t possible to downgrade the device. Look for solutions which don’t involve doing so, or post the problem you’re having on these boards.

3.1.2 "upgrade", is EVERYone having the same problem?
So is every single person who has upgraded their OS had the same problems?
Mainly:
1. WiFi connectivity
2. Pressing the home button twice does not open up the music menu anymore.
3. Apps crashing constantly.
I would appriciate any feedback on these and insight to any additional problems, thanks!!
I have the 2.2.1 version still...I have not upgraded yet, I'm hoping to get some answers before I do so I can avoid these issues. I have just read other posts and picked out what seems to be reoccuring problems.
As to the double tapping of the home button to bring up the music menu, it seems this cannot be fixed? It has been addressed in this thread...

Now that I have upgraded to Yosemite I have a problem when I scan documents. Formerly, a window showed today's activity. Now, I have to search through all the documents in my history to find what I just scanned. Sometimes I can't even find the doc.
Most scan apps have a setting whereas, your scan(s) can go directly to your desktop. No need to "hunt" for scanned docs.

I have iPhone 4. After I upgraded to ios5 I have a problem with Wi-Fi connection with "WPA enterprize" protection. I can define the connection and everything works fine. But after I lose signal or shutoff the WiFi, I cannot re-connect, and need re-define the net. It is only in WPA enterprize.

I have contacted three more people that made the upgrade and they have the same problem. My advise is not to upgrade until Apple solves the serious issue, I would hate to have to re-install Outlook...I can send e-mails just fine with apple mail on yosemite...
Might not be a generic problem but rather a personal problem..
You should try find a fix rather than waiting on apple.
Hopefully somebody can help you out.

Can not edit id3 tags since upgrade to iTunes 8.1: permissions problem (?)

I am angry at myself for having upgraded to 8.1 before I knew that it's ok, and angry at Apple releasing this update with too many problems. Here is my list:
(1) I cannot change ID3 tags within iTunes for certain tracks. I usually click on one or several tracks, press Command+i for information, then change the desired tags (e.g. genre, album, etc.) and click ok. Only that iTunes won't let me write anything. I found that I have no longer write permission to exactly these tracks (my music is on an external LaCie Firewire800 HD). What I did so far:
- I tried to run "Repair permissions" on the internal HD.
- I clicked on the iTunes music folder on the external hard drive, opened the information window and changed under "Sharing & Permissions" the rights to read&write for my user account. I clicked on "Apply to enclosed items", which should set the permissions to all elements within the folder.
Any ideas? My system is freshly installed (~3weeks old), everything is updated.
(2) Probably related to (1): certain files and documents on my internal hard drive have wrong permissions. Firefox for example is locked as read only, and I cannot update it via the "Check for update" in the help menu. I know there is an update available, as I am using 3.0.6 and the newest is 3.0.8. Repair permissions did not help. See the screen shot for the grayed out "Check for updates" menu entry.

(3) In iTunes, I have a smart playlist in which all songs rated with four or more stars are gathered. I found songs in this list that I did not rate yet, and they all have odd "empty" stars in comparison to the songs I rated myself. What's up with that? See screenshot, some of the songs of the album "I love Jazz" have these odd stars:

The permissions stay the same for the files/folders in question. It's very odd, have a look at the screenshot:
Some folders have correct permissions, others (to which I have no access through iTunes) show "admin" twice as the only user who is allowed to write. Repair permission does not help. I have hundreds of files/folders where permissions are wrong, only since the upgrade recently.

Mac Pro 2.66, Recent Upgrade to 10.6.8, Video Problems?

I have an original Mac Pro 2.66 GHz that I recently upgraded to 10.6.8 (about a month ago). Since then, I've had to hard reboot it a number of times. It sometimes doesn't wake from sleep properly (don't know if the computer doesn't wake or the monitor doesn't wake, but I'm guessing the computer as neither the keyboard nor mouse have any effect on it), video is sometimes REALLY strange (highly pixelated, with stripes across the screen, VERY slow refresh, multiple images of the same window, some parts of the windows showing while others aren't). I'm currently typing this on my iMac as the Mac Pro is currently locked up again. I'm planning on calling Apple Support early this week as a tech kindly registered me for 90 days of support after I called about another issue. Thought I'd try this, though, to see if anyone else if having the problem and what was done to resolve it.

Does your system hang up and become unresponsive, or do you get a kernel panic? (See the image here if you aren't sure what a kernel panic is: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3742.)
Unless you have a slow internet connection, an easy "quick fix" to try is to reinstall the update file using a freshly downloaded copy: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399.

Hello all,
Some urgent help needed on the 3 problems listed on priority basis, as follows.
P1 -> I upgraded to IOS6.1.2 on my iPhone 3GS last week and all worked fine for 2 days. Then, last Thursday (21st February) evening, the mail app started crashing and is currntly unusable. All efforts to Restart/Reset, have failed.
P2 -> With the SMS app, there is no sound/vibrate available, whenever a message comes in. Pretty annoying!
P3 -> There is extremely heavy battery drain, resulting in the phone having to be charged atleast 4-5 times a day.
On the upside, after the upgrade, the phone works really fast.
Could any of the gurus over her, offer any help or insights please?

Directory Server 6.2 upgrade to 6.3: import LDIF problem
Hi all,
I have tried upgrading my Directory Server 6.2 to version 6.3 because of the database integrity issues as stated in:

I have followed the steps defined in this article:
1. Shut down each directory server instance, as described in Starting, Stopping, and Restarting a Directory Server Instance.
2. Perform an LDIF export of the database, as described in Backing Up to LDIF.
3. Install the hotfix for bug 6642430 on Directory Server 6.2, or upgrade your Directory Server 6.2 instance to Directory Server 6.3 once Directory Server 6.3 is available for download (early April). You will need to login to Sunsolve in order to see this bug description.
But when importing the LDIF export, I got the following error:

This resulted in a missing Portal instance configuration and thus I got a 'configuration error' when surfing through the gateway to the portal.
I have also tried: manually importing that entry, which resulted in a 'Object does not exist' error. I have tried copying the whole tree from another backup with identical setup, which wasn't working either.
Did anyone experience the same problems before? Did I do something wrong or is there a workaround for this?
Second question: What is the exact reason why a export and import is necessary? Or is it only necessary if the database is already corrupt? Is there a way to check that?

StenThe entry was not imported most likely because it's parent isn't in the database yet. Are entries above this in another backend ? If so try importing that backend first. Also, that dn is so long, that it exhausted the buffer which is used to write messages in the access log. This is why, there's nothing after "which".

the database is already corrupt? Is there a way to check that?The database corruption could be silent. So a binary backup/restore when going from 6.2 to 6.3 is not recommended and the LDIF route must be used. -
Upgraded SCCM 2012 SP1 to CU5 - Problem updating Endpoint Protection Client (to V4.5.216.0)
We upgraded SCCM SP1 to CU5. We got one primary site, on which we had no problems with running the CU setup. After the upgrade we pushed the new administrator console and client.
SP1 CU5 - console update -> Updated on all administrator users (50 computers)
SP1 CU5- x64 and x86 client update -> Updated on pilot group (50 computers)
No problems so far.
We are having troubles updating the Endpoint Protection Client version. This was V4.1.522.0 before the upgrade. When we enroll a new computer, it receives the new V4.5.216.0, which is the last version.
But we can't update our older clients. We try to deploy the software update (Update for Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010 Client - 4.5.216.0 (KB2952678)) but it doesn't install. After 20 minutes, if I look in the Deployment logs, it says the installation
was successfull; but it isn't, it's still the old version.
Strange thing is, we can upgrade to an inbetween version (Update for Forefront Endpoint Protection 2010 Client - 4.3.215.0 (KB2864366)). Which installs on a test client.
If I look to the cache files of the new EP Client update, and use the UpdateInstall.exe manually, the update does install. Then I see in the logfile EndpointProtectionAgent.log it still refers to the version 4.1.522.0.

Since upgrading to maverick I have had problems syncing contacts and calendar between devices
After recent apple support ref:532791559 my macpro will exchange these items between icloud and macpro but now I find I cannot exchange data between my iphone (IOS7) and ipad (IOS7)
In above apple support created new accounts etc to arrange connection but now I have lost the other two items. All three were working perfectly with icloud before updating. Sorry Apple but this is a blunder!!!Hi,
Thank you for taking an interest in my problem.
What actually transpired was my Macpro (contacts) would not update after I put changes in to contacts in either iphone or ipad. Apple checked and discovered that changes made in either macPro (contacts) and contacts(cloud.com) did not talk to each other so concentrated on this.
The rep had me signout of my macpro user account, and create a temp new user to which I signed into my icloud account as normal. Then, changes in either macpro or cloud.com now worked. He then did some changes at his end and after exiting the temp user and resigning in as origal macpro user this now made changes to each other. OK. We then deleted the temp user and this worked! but since then I have discovered that iphone and ipad now do not change icloud.com contacts or calendar so would not of course change contacts on macpro!
Other services on icloud (photo stream, mail, docs and data, find my ----, etc) all function with my iphone (so have to presume my ipad also, but this is not with me at this time) so the problem is confined to just contacts and calendar.
In summary, I do have only one icloud address but which appears to have two sets of data as the devices will communicate with something but not altogether!!
I am thoroughly confused, especially as it was all fine until I upgraded from M\Lion to Mavericks on my shiny new macpro a few weeks ago. I had moved from Windows to Apple to avoid just such problems.
Not enamoured with Apple at the moment, but thank you for your assistance - hope this is a better explanation.

Upgrade to 10.1.3.4: Problems with multi-select list

We upgraded from BiseSEone (10.1.3.2) to 10.1.3.4 (using BI EE). One of the features we were longing for was the improved multi-select list in the dashboard prompts (with a efficient search support). But after the Installation the multi-select list doesn't work at all. There are no data offered and the frames are missing. What could be go wrong here ? There were no problems during the installation. I told the installation to keep the configurations.
