Upgrade to 4.2 SP4 corrupted custom functions in central repository

I recently upgraded a repository from 4.2 SP1 to 4.2 SP4 and all the custom functions in the central repository (after being upgraded with repository manager) are no longer able to be check-out, can't get latest version, can't even export them... nothing. Each time I interact with anything dependent on these functions I get the following error:
I've logged out completely, refreshed multiple times and nothing is solving the issue. The functions correctly show up, but cannot be edited in any way. Please help.
both local and central repos are on MS SQL Server 2008 R2.

Hi Matthew,
Did the upgrade process from 4.2 SP1 to 4.2 SP4 complete successfully when you upgraded using Repository Manager.
If you have a backup of 4.2 SP1 repository version can you please upgrade the repository to 4.2 SP4 and check the Latest version after upgrade is finished successfully.
It seems that you are directly doing a Check in of dependent objects first.
Try the below steps:
1) First add only the object without dependents
2) Add only the custom function to the central repository see if that works
Please note the following points
You can add a single object to the central repository, or you can add an object with all of its dependents to the central repository. When you add a single object, such as a data flow, you add only that object. No dependent objects are added.
The error message suggests that dependent objects is missing.

Hi Jim,
To give rights to a user or a group to save custom function in the Repository:
1. Open the Business View Manager
2. Logon to your BusinessObjects Enterprise as the Administrator
3. In the "Repository Explorer", right click on the "Custom Functions" folder, and in the contextual menu, select "Edit Rights"
4. In the "Edit Rights" window, add the user or group that you want to give the right to save a custom function to the repository, and set the "Edit" right to "Granted". Finally, click on the "OK" button to accept the change.
The user will then be able to save a Custom Function to the Repository in Crystal Reports XI R2.
Also, note that it is important that the "Everyone" group "Edit" right isn't set to "Denied" as every user is part of the "Everyone" group.
If the group "Everyone" is set to denied, it will take precedence to the user rights, so nobody will be able to save custom function. So ensure the "Everyone" group right is either set to "Inherited" or "Granted".

Repository custom function refresh

We have some custom functions that we store in our BO XI R2 repository, we use these for creating reports and then publishing them to the Enterprise server. When we update any of the custom functions in the repository the changes do not automatically update into the reports that are published on the Enterprise server, we either have to republish the reports or go to the CMC and click on the refresh option. Is there any way to get the custom functions in the repository to automatically update in all reports that are published to the Enterprise server?

Here is what I found:
The existing reports used to have a sub-report which was passing back a shared variable with the same name as the custom function. Even when the sub-report was deleted from the report, for some reason Crystal still had the shared variable name referenced somewhere and therefore would not allow adding of a custom object with the same name. Strange!!!

Custom will show automatically as soon as you just edit some options. So just go ahead, you don't need to select "custom"

I shoot raw and I have imported them into lightroom, within lightroom I cannot remove the crop. I tried opening in Canon's software, removed the crop, then saved as a TIFF, but 17 files ended up being corrupt.
I see that there is a plug in for LR, but it indicates DNG files, not RAW ~ is there a plug in for RAW? Does anyone know a work around that might help me? Thank you.

You didn't say which Camera you are using except it is a Canon but use this Plugin and see if it works. It outputs DNG files and does NOT change your original CR2 so you will have to use the DNG in Lightroom to see the full image.

SE80 problem in ECC with custom function groups

We are in the process of upgrading from 4.64 to ECC 6 and have encountered an unusual situation.
When we bring up a custom function group in SE80, we can no longer see the custom includes in the include section. We can see all other sections. We can still use SE38 to look at an include. The automatically-generated includes are there, such as the TOP, F01 and UXX, but see none of the ones that go with the function modules we've created. When we look at the UXX include, we can see each of the function modules with the include it belongs to. These are function groups that existed in the 4.64 system; they are not new to the ECC system.
We've tried rebuilding the object list at the function group and package levels. We receive no errors and the processes work fine.
Maybe there is a setting somewhere that needs to be updated?

How to bring the custom function module in WE42?

Hi,
I have created a custom function module to post a custom idoc.
Process code has been created thro WE42 and WE57 is done.
Still I am not able to see the custom function module in the list (WE42) in order to assign it to process code.
May i know the reason for this?

What makes you think that it should be visible in WE42? There is no F4-value help for this and you haven't added it manually yet, right.
In WE42 you can manually add entries, so that's what I would do.

SSRS - Pass Field Value List To Custom Function Assembly And Display Result

I have written a SQL Server Reporting Services custom function as a C# assembly DLL and added it to my report. The purpose of the function is to search for outlier records in a collection of data. The data is represented as an array of floating point -tuplets
(float[][]). In a medical patient database, these might be things such as blood pressure, cholesterol, hight, weight, waist measurement, etc.
Several user input parameters are provided in the report, including numeric seed values for this particular algorithm. One multivalued parameter is a list of the numeric columns to be used as input to the algorithm because, importantly,
the user can choose any subset of the value columns. I have a tablix that will display columns from the dataset conditionally, based on which of those columns are chosen.
At this point, there are two issues I'm having difficulty with:
How do I, in the course of running the report, take just the numeric columns that the user has chosen (ignoring all others in the dataset) and pass them as a float[][] to my custom function? Or is there something in the
Microsoft.ReportingServices namespace that I should use to query an input dataset and convert it to an array in my C# code?
How can I present the array subset returned by my custom function in a tablix in the report?
Note: One thought that occurs to me is that outlier records tablix could be contained in a subreport, but I'm not clear on the logistics of passing dataset field results from a master report to a subreport.

From your description, you want to pass the dataset data to a custom code array, and return the subset of the array, right? In this case, you can use a custom function to add the data to array, and use the a custom function to sort the data base on your
requirement and then use a function to get the subset of the array. Here are some sample custom code for your reference.

Report Template driven by custom functions

Hello,
I'm a newbie, and i'm trying to design a report template driven by a vw and/or stored proc to display information on a letterhead report. Such as names that can change at any time. I have another interface linked to the vw/sp to change that information at any time. What i'm trying to get is the idea of how to create a template letterhead report that i don't have to go back into crystal to change whenever the administration name changes.
Does anybody have any ideas or examples? I'm thinking Custom Functions are the way to go but, i just don't know how to get started with using them if that's the way to go.

Unable to debug an exit in CALL CUSTOMER FUNCTION 003

I have an exit EXIT_SAPMV45A_003 that is called by CALL CUSTOMER FUNCTION 003. I had placed a break point at
CALL CUSTOMER FUNCTION 003 and the debugger stops here but i am unable to debug inside this to reach into
the code in EXIT_SAPMV45A_003 even after setting the system debugging on & Update debugging
ON.
Can someone help me with this?

You have to include that Enhancement of that exit in the Project and Activate that project in the CMOD.
The Enhancement for the exit EXIT_SAPMV45A_003 is V45A0003.
Create a project in CMOD
And inclue V45A0003 in the project.
Activate the Project.
Now, it will stop at break point.

Error in Including the Custom function in Custom schema ...

Hi Experts ,
I developed a time custom Function through PE04 , Z_5RT and included in Custom Schema , ZM04, while executing in PT60 using the schema ZM04 an error coming . Any configuration required to include custom function in a schema .

You are just going to place the custom function in the 'Func' field of schema.
Check the counry assignment, parameters & finally you have to activate the function. Check T52A0 for correct internal number.

Could not find Model while pointing to a custom Function Group

I am on EP7.0 ERP05 NW04s and trying to modify ESS Address application to point to a custom function group rather than the standard one . When I tried to do that by changing the mapping for the ReadInfotype I got certain compilation errors ,I fixed those and then got the following error at runtime:

Do below things.
1. Re-import your Model.
2. Restart your J2ee server
3. Re-load & Rebuild your project.
