Upgrade to ECC 6.0 from 4.7. OSS Notes implementation

Hi,
We have upgraded the R/3 system from 4.7 to ECC 6.0. I am looking into the SPAU Note corrections and it has a huge list of Notes to be implemented. I think some of these would have been already included in the upgraded version but is there a way to cross verify this. As of now I am comparing the support packages going into each Notes. But this is a huge list.
Do any one has a effective approach to share?

If you use SPAU, it will take care of the notes "already in the support package" and "to be implemented". Just click on the icon in front of the note number, the system will download the newest version of the note and check, if it´s still valid.

Try this. Worked for me.
- turn off your router
- turn off you Mac's after removing all available printers
- turn off all iDevices
- do a factory reset of your printer remove all cables min. 30 sec.
- turn on your router first
- ran the network set up wizard
- give your printer also a new name like "DeskJet 2015"
Something which you don't have used before.
- turn on your Mac's and add your printer
- turn on your iDevices at least.
Should work after these steps.
It worked for me including all iDevices.

Upgrade to ECC 6.0 from 4.6C

I have been researching on the forums and I am following all the information I've found yet I still have one question.
We are upgrading our landscape from 4.6C to ECC 6.0 I just took this job and in the past the company did not transport new roles as they were created. They were created in PRD. DEV and QAS are upgraded to ECC6 now. I went to SU25 in DEV to go through steps 2 and 3. None of our roles are there so there wasn't anything to do. What I did was a massdownload of all roles from PRD and upload to DEV so that I could transport the changes to QAS and let everyone start testing. After uploading all roles into DEV, I went back to SU25, I did step 2A, & 2B says I do not need to maintain the transactions. 2C has almost all roles with a green status light, yet if I click on each role there are unmaintained and new authorization objects in all of them. I can go in one at a time and maintain them. However, if I am reading this correctly, in step 3 the values I maintain will not be transported. Is this correct? Am I going about this the correct way?

That's a tricky one...
Some ideas:
Was SU25 step 1 ever performed in DEV?
What you need to do before 2A is sync the SU24 data backwards as well, as that has probably been maintained in PROD as well. Also check how reliable the PROD SU24 data is and how many "changed" or "manually" or "inactive" auths there are.
2B I suspect might have problems from the upload into an upgraded system, particularly if you generate profiles for a transaction which does not exist anymore. Check the menu (and standard S_TCODE auths) whether everything you uploaded is there. Also consider running 2D first in a system copy to test your PROD roles.... Additional recommendation: see [SAP Note 991377|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/991377]
If you are lucky, then they made a science out of SU24 directly in PROD and you can re-use that.

Upgrade to ECC 6.0 from 4.7 - When to execute SPDD/SPAU

Hi Expert,
I'm doing technical upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 and just discover notes that related to activating Add-ons (Business Switch) for DIMP. It seems like some of the switch need to be turn on manually. The question is, should this switch be turned on before SPDD/SPAU or I can run SPDD/SPAU then turn on the switch? I'm raising this question because I notice some of the collective search help that contain customized elementary search help become resetted and the customized search help is not included in the standard search help anymore. Thanks in advance for the answer.

Hi Abraham,
As said by Abdul you can do the SPDD during the phase ACT_700, The SAPup tool stops at this phase and prompts you for the confirmation.
In this phase you have to login to the shadow instance and in the 000 client with DDIC user and create a user as the copy of the DDIC.
use this newly created user for doing the SPDD in the shadow instance.
SPAU can be done once the upgrade is completed with in 14 days with out a developer key after 14 days you need a developer key.
when you carry out further upgrades you can include these 2 requests SPDD and SPAU during the upgrade itself. In this situation if you have any other delta adjustments then you have to do that delta in the shadow instace otherwise you dont need to work again on the SPDD and SPAU for the rest of the systems.

ECS value not appearing in J1IIN after upgrade to ECC 6.0 from 4.72

Hi Experts
All the objects corresponding to ECS are restored to original i.e. ECC 6.0 during SPAU modifications. We are able to find the ECS value appearing in the new version for the existing billing docs whereas when we try to create a new billing doc in J1IIN, ECS value is calculated as '0.00'. We have checked with the sale order and billing doc where ECS is populated as expected.
Kindly provide us with some inputs to resolve.

We have done SAP upgrade from SAP 4.6c to ECC 6.0.
There is a costomized Movement type Z01 and Z02 for goods issue to cost centre in 4.6c and working fine.
Now after upgrade those movement types Z01 and Z02 are not appearing for selecting in MIGO transaction.
Please suggest me what are the check points I have to cross verify or is there any note has to be apply

How to make upgrade from application server and not from central instance?

Upgrade process has to execute from the server where message server is running.
So I guess it is not possible to initiate the SAP upgrade from application server.

Issue with BDC processing of F-65 after upgrade to ECC 6.0

Dear ABAP gurus,
We have upgraded our SAP system from version 4.7 to ECC 6.0.
We are facing issue when processing BDC sessions for transaction code F-65.
The screen which appears for Assignment to a profitability segment creates issue when processing BDC for F-65.
The screen name is SAPLKEAK and the corresponding screen number is 0300.
This screen displays the characteristic and its corrsponding values. The characteristics and its values are pulled in from FICO Config at runtime when you execute F-65 and all relevant Tcodes of business transaction RFBU.
We checked for the characteristics maintained for Characteristic group via std. transaction code KEPA. It shows 4 characteristics listed of which 2 are optional and 2 are mandatory. The same settings are available in older version as well as in ECC 6.0. Also validated the assignment of characteristic group to the actual data i.e to the business transaction RFBU via Tcode KE4G.
When we do recording in SHDB in both the systems, the older version shows it correctly displaying 4 fields(2 optional and 2 mandatory) in the Assignment to a profitability segment screen whereas the new system displays some 12 additional fields. Also none of the fields appear mandatory.
The issue is we are still not able to identify whether this is a technical issue or functional issue.
Searched for relevant OSS notes but couldn't find any.
Anyone of you who have faced this issue, please respond immediately.
We have this issue to be resolved on high priority.

Need to find impact of Vertex O series upgrade on ECC and changes required?

Hello experts,
My client is upgrading Vertex series to O from Q.
As part of Q series, additional fields such street will be used to identify correct tax jurisdiction code in system.
Also, zip code used will be 9 digits (zip+4) instead of 5 digits.
We need to correct existing master data and open transactions in system with new jurisdiction code along with supporting new data in system.
Below are the questions:
1. What changes are required in ECC side to support new vertex series in interface etc?
2. How can we achieve integration of vertex O series with new master and transnational data getting created in system to have right TXJCD value?
3. What all possible solutions are available to correct master data and transnational data in system with correct TXJCD value?
Any pointers to experience with Vertex will be rewarded.

As such there is no dependency between component you specified but SAP always says to be on latest patches. As far as solution manager is concerned you should have minimum support pack level Solman 7.0 SP17 but anyway you are more than that.

Customer Fields not getting poplulated in PO in R/3 (ECC 6.0) from SRM 5.0

Hi,
    We Recently upgraded our R/3 System from 4.6 C to ECC 6.0.
Shopping card number is getting created in SRM side and after approval it is getting sent to R/3 Back end,We have some customer fields that need to be populated in the back end from the shopping card,Which is not happening as of now.We are using the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 for creating the PO in R/3.We tried running the BAPI_PO_CREATE1 Standalone by giving the customer fields Table EXTENSIONIN and in Structure BAPI_TE_PO_ITEMS,But the custom fields are not populating in the PO.

1.wat is ur target table that ur custom fields were added using apped structure.
2. Have u passed the Communcation strucure also means
in ur case BAPI_TE_MEPOITEMX along with BAPI_TE_MEPOITEM .
Plz find similar code which is for sale order coding which may help u .
