Upgrade to Firefox 11 and lost all bookmarks.

I have upgrade to Firefox 11 and lost all bookmarks. None of the on-line articles help. Please advise on how to recover the bookmarks. I have tried to go to the pages that I use and it will not let me bookmark them.

If you open your current profile folder, do you have a bookmarkbackups folder in there?
Help > Troubleshooting Information > Open Containing Folder button
If so, copy those somewhere safe before proceeding.
If not, do you ever back up your profile folder?
You also might navigate up a level and see whether you have any other Firefox profiles.
If you cannot save any new bookmarks, I wonder whether your places.sqlite file (stores history and bookmarks) in your profile has become corrupted. You might need to rename that file and allow Firefox to create a new one before you can save new bookmarks again. I wouldn't delete the file just yet, as it might contain some useful stuff.

Look in your /Home/Pictures/ folder for the iPhoto Library file. Do you have one there? Look at the modification date for it. What is the date relative to the date you did this upgrade? If you double click on the file what happens? Do you have another iPhoto Library file by chance? If so what happens if you double-click on it?

Hi I had the same problem and spent some time trying to get through to support, when I did they couldn't answer my querey but since then....
Every time a message is sent the indicator stops 90% along its journey and goes no farther?
The answer is simple, Apple don't seem to know it yet....
In Settings goto messages and right at the bottom click the 'Show Subject Field' to OFF.
The new upgrade has made a dogs dinner of this, you can leave it on, but DO NOT USE IT it prevents the messages from going and its far easier to turn the dammed thing off, it makes no difference to the content of the message.
Apple had me turning on 'Mobile Data' which was never needed in the past. and it is not necessary we will no doubt get an update 7.04 soon where it will either be fixed or discarded..

Are you sure, you are viewing the correct iPhoto library? iPhoto may have created a new Library.
Hold down the alt/options key ⌥, while you double click iPhoto to launch it. Is there more than one Photo Library in the panel that opens? Then try the other libraries, if your photos are in there.

I upgraded to a newer version of Firefox last month around June 14 th time frame and I lost ALL my bookmarks, these are very Important to me , I have tried everything that was suggested online and now would like to know if there is anything Firefox can do to get my bookmarks back, Please help me. I wish I had never upgraded, why on earth didn't Firefox warn me that this might happen if they did I would have never upgraded as they requested. I've just upgraded Firefox and lost all my bookmarks. None of the suggested "fixes" brings them back. I only have one profile, but cannot restore bookmarks following instructions given. What can I do?

Windows Vista. Have just installed Firefox 4.0

No result (I think) - because show all bookmarks comes up empty (except for what I suppose are defaults)

I attempted to restore my bookmarks but since I cant even add a new bookmark nothing was saved. I am certain my bookmarks are LONG GONE. There is no "TORBUTTON". I Upgraded to OpenSUSE 13.1 a few months ago. Firefox lost the ability to give me sound with Utube video's. I tried the Tumbleweed upgrade system, but it was not to my liking. So I have done a fresh install from DVD, and most of what I want is working well. Firefox is not playing sounds, where do I look to see what is missing?

Are other applications able to play sounds? If so, are some things able to produce sound in firefox but not others? For instance, playing a youtube video versus playing an mp3 (which would be easy to test by providing a file:// link to a mp3 on your hd) versus playing a wav or ogg file.
If firefox is simply unable to play any of these things at all, you may be missing a vital plugin. If it is able to play videos for you but not the associated audio, try starting firefox from a terminal and check to see if there is any output to the terminal (on startup or when playing a audio/video file) that might be relevant.
If nothing above seems to shed any light on things, you may also want to try running ldd on it as well (in a terminal, try typing ldd $(which firefox) and look for missing libraries).

Do you have (or did you have) PPC apps. If so none of those would have survived the transition to Mavericks. You can check the apps you had here, though it looks like you may be too late.

My iMac was returned to me following a repair by Apple - they did a clean wipe & reinstall.
I backed up all my photos beforehand (I was previously using LR4).
I just upgraded to LR5 and have imported all the photos. However, I appear to have lost all the work I did in LR4 - all my edits, and 'flagged' images etc. Is there any way of recovering this? Otherwise I've lost several weeks worth of work.

This means the files are not in the location that the catalog was expecting.
You need to EITHER mirror exactly the file structure of your old machine OR right click (cmd-click?) on your highest level folder within Lightroom and select "Update Folder Location". This should bring up a window that allows you to browse to the new location of your photos and select it. If there's not a high level folder that covers all your photos you'll need to do this one folder at a time.
Tutorials are a good idea if you're un-clear about anything but the Catalog is essentially "just" a database. It stores the locations of all of your files, the metadata associated with them and all the adjustments you've made.

Reinstalled Firefox and lost my bookmarks, attempted to restore, but is only giving me todays date.

I was on live chat with a Norton specialist and they deleted/reinstalled my Firefox so fast that I didn't even have time to ask him if he saved my bookmarks. When I did ask him about the bookmarks, he said he was not trained in Firefox, but that the bookmarks could be restored.

Please Help!!! -- I upgraded to ios5 and lost all my photos

I finally plugged in my iPhone 4 to sync photos and update to to iOS5. As soon as I plugged it in, I had a choice of registering my supposedly "new" iPhone or actually, nothing at all. No syncing, no nothing. I registered, updated, and in the process lost ALL my photos. At no point in time during the update was I warned that I might lose all my photos (which, byt he way, was the only thing that seems to have been deleted from the phone).
Is there any way I can possibly retrieve these photos?
Any help will be seriously appreciated.

The only way to restore the photos is by syncing your device to your computer if you have synced it before. Otherwise I am afraid you have lost your photos and thereby you have to learn by your misstake and sync more often or use a backup app. I am sorry for your loss.
