Upgrade to Lightroom CC 6 but not Photoshop CC

I joined the $9.99 / month CC Photoshop & Lightroom program in Dec 2014. At that time I upgraded to Photoshop CC but didn't upgrade Lightroom. Now I want to get the new version of Lightroom, 6 CC. How do I do this?U

It should be listed as Lightroom CC (2015) as an install in your Creative Cloud desktop app. If not, then read this:
Why am I not seeing the Lightroom CC upgrade/download in the Creative Cloud application? Lightroom CC won’t be shown in the Creative Cloud desktop application if your system doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements. It’s likely you are on a system with Mac OS 10.7 or earlier, or a 32-bit version of Windows 7 or 8. If you system meets the minimum requirements, try signing out and back into the Creative Cloud application and see if the Apps panel updates.

I am considering up grading to lightroom 5. But first I need to be sure I can retrieve my original library, which has been replaced by images from iphoto I hadn't slected. I currently use a lightroom 3 and have spent countless hours as a professional photographer improving my original photographs. Can I speak to someone regarding this matter?
I would really appreciate your help in resolving this matter asap.

Hope you slept well. I have been busy looking into many of the things you
have told me.
Where should I start so much info.
There are 7 Ircat folders. Some empty some contain approx 7000 images. Some
of the images /altered on lightroom are here few maybe 50. Although they
are missing or offline and now in the CR2 format ( photoshop elements),
which is very strange. I think this an issue as to why it may have all
gone, changed? In another Ircat folder many images are in the condition I
left them although not all of them, the latest 2013 are missing. Also in
another extension Ircat folder many of the images are there I imagine the
same 7000 but cant be seen?
On my hard drive there is a folder I cannot open, it reads in progress and
says no App to open document, search App store for Application. Perhaps
this is the key, I also have little storage space on my hard drive.
Many images under 2012 on hard drive have the tiff image, with altered
version created on lightroom some now show as CR2 version to view the photo
photoshop elements opens up automatically, which I never use. I do feel
this is a major reason/ issue?
Also under certain folders with dates my images appear pixelated or blurry.
Under another heading the jpg version is great approx 73 some are missing
the latest and most important, unfortunately I want in Tiff.
Under another folder on hard drive I have many of the images I am chasing
approx 60 but the size is a concern 2-2.5mb, should be around 40mb?
In another folder all are in CR2 photoshop elements.
Time Machine, which I'm sure was inactive tells me it could not back up
disk?
Under thumbnails it looked promising all in DNG many missing and in CR2
format.
I thought I would let you know in case I haven't already that the memory on
the imac is very low, hence why I began trashing/ deleting images yesterday
thet are saved on my hard drive this is when all this mess occured.
Are there short cuts I can use to remove images that are duplicates without
lightroom becoming tempermental?
Were too next? I am hoping the originals can be found and installed in
their original form.

Two SCE boxes has died after upgrade to FW 3.6 (but not immediatelly)

I have experienced SCE error with following switching to System Recovery Mode on two SCE 2000 boxes. I upgraded them two days ago but today they switched to Recovery Mode after unexpected platform reload. Difference between these two boxes reload/crash is only 20 seconds.

Lightroom opens phototshop, but not image

I just updated Photoshop 2014 and Lightroom. Now when I choose "Edit In" Photoshop will open, but the image does not open. I am running Windows 8.1. Any help would be appreciated.

Getting following Pop up error, since upgrading to Lion on iMac (but not on my iBook).

Since upgrading to Lion on my iMac, I keep getting the following Pop up image error message. Translated in English it reads: The connexion to the server has failed. URL type files are not recognised.
Curiously enough, I upgraded my iBook with Lion also ... and I don't get this problem at all ! It does not cause any trouble, everything is working, BUT it is a Royal pain, as I have to click on OK twice to shut it down and it comes back up again every 10-15 minutes !! Can someone help ? Thank you.

Image rotated in bridge but not photoshop

Hi All,
re: CS5 bridge and photoshop
I rotated a bunch of images in bridge. But, they did not rotate 180degrees in photoshop. The orientation is noted in the EXIF metedata.
I saw this rotation command performed on a CS5 video tutorial.
Can you tell me what setting in bridge or photoshop is preventing the conversion in photoshop?

What type of RAW files are we talking about, NEF,CR2 or other?
Bridge is just a flle browser, and RAW files are opened and edited in Adobe Camera Raw. Do you just get a thumbnail, but it willl not open in ACR?
Does ACR work with other RAW images that have not been corrupted.
Do you have a backup (highly recommended) of these images somewhere? Should be on seperate physical drive or on a DVD.

JPEG crashes AGS, Fireworks, and Illustrator, but not Photoshop

I have a feeling that the problem has to do with JPEG metadata but I'm not sure what to look for. So far I've found that the JPEG causes Fireworks, Illustrator, and Adobe Graphics Sever to hang. It's especially bad since when AGS goes down a dependent public web application hangs too.
The file works as expected in Photoshop, Acrobat, browsers, and other apps. I'm pretty sure it's not infected since it passed my virus scanner.
Could someone take a look at the JPEG and let me know if you find anything? You can download it from my webserver here:

NEF format imports into iPhoto but not Photoshop??

I'm currently using a Nikon D70S, shooting in RAW format. The .NEF files import just fine into iPhoto, but for some reason, if I try to edit them in Photoshop CS, it gives me this error message:
"Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."
...Okay! I'm not sure why this is happening. I'm on the latest update of the OS and iPhoto. The only workaround I've found so far is that I can open each file up in Preview and then save it as a tiff. But for hundreds of photos... It's pretty cumbersome.
Any ideas on what might be going wrong? My .NEF files have opened in Photoshop CS a couple times, but I'm not sure why that was, and I wasn't paying too much attention to this issue until now when I need to edit a huge amount of photos at once. Help!

If you are trying to open the RAW files, you will need to drag them from the iPhoto view pane into PSCS. Opening in external editor will send the OSX created JPEG to PS and that may not be what you want. Opening the RAW will also only work if you never edit the JPEG either within iPhoto or with an external editor. After that, the JPEG will always be used. When opening the RAW, you will need to save the file outside of iPhoto, convert it to JPEG, TIFF, or PSD format, and then re-import that version into iPhoto to keep it part of the library. Also, make sure your version Adobe Camera RAW (ACR) supports the D70S. Most updates are free and the D70S isn't that old and it's a different RAW format than the D70.

How can I import JPEGs but not Photoshop files from a folder?

I'm wondering if there is a way to have import filtering by file type. Specifically, I want to import a large folder structure of finished images but only the JPEG files, I don't want PSD files added to the catalog.
Is there possibly a script or Plug-in that does this?
I'm using OS X 10.9 at home and Windows 7 at work, with LR 5.5 in both cases.

This is the OP on my home profile, and that ship has already sailed. Both work and home, there are thousands of images together. I could explain why but its not important at this point, and I need it that way for my on-disk organization.
I'm looking at this omission as a huge time-waster. Why import a bunch of files that you are going to immediately turn around and delete?
At home I'm working on transitioning from Aperture, and so far I am not impressed with LR. It does some things better but has a lot of holes. My Aperture catalog is over 155,000 images.
At work, I am dealing with legacy images and have been trying to use Bridge to organize things, that's been slow going as well. I'm trying to decide if the DAM features in Lightroom make it worth importing everything.

Upgraded U410 TO Windows 8 But Not Using SSD :/

Hi guys,
I bought my ideapad U410 and since then I've been running W7. Recently my University sent me an email to get Windows 8 because they have a deal with Dreamspark or something where we can get free Windows programs. I decided to get Windows 8 and after playing with it, I like it so far.
Unfortunately, Ive noticed that boot times and the general speed of the OS although very good, is nowhere near as good as my old W7. This is largely due to the fact that before I upgraded, my W7 was running on the SSD but this upgrade to W8 is on the HDD.
IS there anyway to redo the whole process and make Windows 8 run on the SSD to make it faster??

Upgraded computer, found music files but not my playlists

I upgraded my computer recently and had to reinstall itunes. I found my music files and imported them back into itunes, apps included, but my playlists were not there. I also tried syncing my iphone, which has the playlists and it said it synced but nothing changed. Any ideas?

If you just copied the media files, the playlists are not part of that. The library files contain playlist information as well as a host of other track details such as ratings. Your artwork is also stored separately. That is why it is recommended you copy the whole iTunes folder, not just the media files the way you did. Again, see the procedure listed in the link I provided earlier.

Using Lightroom to edit, but not orgainize.

I move photos around between folders and I have 20,000 photos in my inventory. I abandoned Lightroom in the past because of the conflict of LIghtroom retaining info on a single photo from two folders. Now I am again trying Lightroom, but I just wan to open a photo in Lightroom, edit it and then refile. Under my new plan, I will just open photos using Lightroom, but I will not use Lightroom to locate photos. In this scenario, it does not matter if Lightroom has records of multiple locations.
Light room will not be used to manage my inventory -- just the tool for editing. I If I find a photo, and use the "open with" option, Lightroom is not an option. Help!

There is no "Open With" option for Lightroom to open images.
You must import the photos using the Lightroom Import dialog box (or drag and drop)
You don't have to use the Library Module to do anything meaningful once the photos are imported

I just upgraded to the new 4, but not sure how to make sure all my apps (purchases) get over to the new phone from iphone 3. can't seem to find instructions. thanks.
