Upgrade to Mountain Lion and can't find the preferences file ?

In OS 10.6.8,  whenever I had a delay in playback from the Source to the timeline, I would delete the preferences file.
After upgrading to Mountain Lion, this file appears to be hidden.  Where is it located ?    I also have a custom keyboard file called "custom.kys".   I can no longer find this either ?
thanks.

Hello,
Open Your Finder, Hold OPTION and CLICK on "GO" from your top menu in Finder. Select Library.
Go to Application Support > Adobe > Premiere Pro > 6.0. The custom keyboard list will be located there.
To trash your prefs do the following. When launching Premiere Pro  hold down Shift+Option. This automatically throws away Premiere’s preferences.
Best,
Peter Garaway

    Hi,
I downloaded Mountain Lion and can neither see the Twitter nor the Facebook menu items in the notification center. Any suggestions about what can I do to see both Twitter and Facebook menus at the top in the noticiation center as is supposed to be according to the Mountain Lion features video that Apple has posted on its website.
    Thanks,

Just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my Calendar refuses to sync with the Exchange server. Events deleted on the web interface dont show up on my Air Calendar. Any thoughts on this?

  • After upgrading to Mountain Lion, i can't connect to app store or safari

After Upgrading to Mountain Lion, I can't access the app store, itunes store, Safari - anything that requires the internet.  I tried resetting my modem and rebooting.
I also tried deleting items from the keychain that look like they are related to the above.  When I did that and rebooted, It works for a little while, and then gets back to where it won't login to anything on the internet and safari won't load anything.

This means that at some time you had the iWork ’09 trial installed. You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user. Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

  • I achieved some gmail emails and can't find the archive to retrieve them

I archived some gmail emails and can't find the archive file to retrieve them.

Rosetta Stone does make a Mac OS X compatible version of their software.  You may be elligible for a crossgrade or a Mac version of their CD.  Or you might need to consider installing Windows on your Mac, if the disc only has a .exe file.

  • Can't find the .ipa files on mac-mini!

Downloading ipad apps on mac-mini and can't find the .ipa files.  It looks like the app downloads but i only find the .tmp file afterward.  I need the .ipa to pull into configurator.  Anyone see this happen before?

    Hello DLeimer,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you’re running into an issue locating apps that you’ve downloaded from the iTunes Store on your Mac. To see the location of an app that you’ve downloaded, just select the file in iTunes and choose File > Get Info, as shown in this article:

  • HT1338 I have an HP Printer/scanner, and since upgrading to Mountain Lion I can no longer scan on my HP.  HP tells me that I can get an upgrade app from 'Apple Software Upgrade' .  Does anyone know how to do this?

I have an HP Printer/scanner, and since upgrading to Mountain Lion I can no longer scan on my HP.  HP tells me that I can get an upgrade app from 'Apple Software Upgrade' .  Does anyone know how to do this?

HP couldn't find its own apps with both hands and a flashlight.
As of Lion all scanning functions are incorporated natively in OS X. You can scan three ways:
Use Preview: File > Import from scanner
    Use Image Capture
(Preview and Image Capture are both in your Applications folder.)
System Preferences > Print & Scan. Select your HP and use the Scan tab.
If you have HP's "Image Zone" software installed, you no longer need it and it no longer works anyway.

  • IPhone 5 doesn't work with Mac OS 10.5.8 - do I need to ugrade to 10.6 and then upgrade to Mountain Lion or can I just upgrade to Mtn Lion right away?

iPhone 5 doesn't work with Mac OS 10.5.8 - do I need to ugrade to 10.6 and then upgrade to Mountain Lion or can I just upgrade to Mtn Lion right away?

At least to 10.6.8. You must do this to upgrade to Mountain Lion.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

  • I did have the ability to "save" in PAGES. I upgraded to "Mountain Lion", and now I can not "Save". Help please!

I used to be able to "Save" my material in PAGES. I upgraded to "Mountain Lion" and now when I go to "Save", it says "permission denied". How can I correct this?
    <E-mail Edited by Host>

Several users have had this problem in Mountain Lion. The system has decided you don't have read/write permissions. Have you done any updates to your system lately? Using Disk Utility to repair permissions after any upgrade or update, especially to the system, is a good practice. So first, I would repair permissions & then if you still have the problem, locate the file in Finder & go to File > Get Info & look in the Sharing & Permissions section. You should be the only one with read/write permissions but something has happened. Click on the words under "priveledge" next to your name & change it to read & write. You will probably have to enter your admin password.

  • I upgraded to Mountain Lion and now I can't use any of my software!

What a disaster and huge mistake.  Upgraded to Mountain Lion and now I can't run Autocad 2012 for Mac, any of my Adobe Creative suites software such as Photoshop, Illustrator.. and now I can't even do upgrades because Mountain Lion doesn't allow me to launch DMGs.  I've lost thousands of $'s in software, not to mention time, but most importantly now I can't even work!  I just tried to revert back to Snow Leopard by intalling it back in my hard drive and it won't let me.  I never used Time Machine.  Is there any way on earth I can revert back to my old operating software???  Please help.  And if you haven't upgraded yet and are thinking about it.  BEWARE - and don't do it.  I've been reading that Mountain Lion isn't working with Microsoft applications either.  Omy...I haven't even checked that.
and of course no one at Apple support can or will help me

It's not my Microsoft that I use much or am worried about.  I can't run AutoCAD.  and I can't update AutoCAD either.  When I try to mount an update just to get it working, it says it can't run the DMG file.  Apparantly this new platform doesn't use Rosetta - which is needed to run any of these updates or downloads.  ***?  and then When I try to open CS4 appliations - Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign - I get the message "Licensing for this product has stopped working - Error 150:30 - ***?
So basically I can't use ANY of the programs I ran before.  And yes I have googled desperately all day.  Adobe has some suggestions - like deleting a Flex files - which I did...Defragmenting - which I did.  And most importantly provides am Adobe Licensing Repair tool to fix - which I can't open because Mountain Lion won't mount the DMG in order to run it!  It's a complete disaster and I don't have the money or time to purchase and or reinstall everything.  I am just screwed.
No you are not, calm down, cbs20 already gave you the answer on opening dmg files, updates are available for most of your programs and I assume you have licenses for the Adobe products. AutoCad you'll have to wait for.
And please .... Start Backing Things Up, you could lose it all without one, work included.

Don't be afraid to bump this topic. There's also an App Store forum where you might repost this question, but give some of these details in your post.  I'd rephrase the topic to something like "Can't use App Store to upgrade." (Instead of can't "open".) Then give the details.
