Please check below:
ST-PI and ST-A/PI- Check latest release from SAP Netweaver.
FINBASIS, SEM-BW- EHP5 should be used.
BI_CONT- 7.3.5
For more information, you can check SAP note 1532805. I would suggest you to download patched from MOPZ and it will take care of dependency of all the objects instead of downloading all components separately.
Thanks

  • Upgrade to Netweaver causing problem while opening pdf file in the portal

After an upgrade to Netweaver 4.0, the following code for opening a pdf file constructed from a byte stream passed from an RFC fails.
    Document doc = new Document(PageSize.A4);
    javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse myResponse = request.getServletResponse(true);

    os.write(pdfResult);
    PdfWriter.getInstance(doc, os);
It throws a "file not found error" on opening directly. However, if saved and viewed; it opens fine. I believe we need to specify the portal url in the filename but not sure.

    Hi Devina,
We are also opening a pdf file constructed from a byte stream passed from an RFC.  Our problem is that we are experiencing inconsistent results.  The file appears to open on some PC workstations but not on others.  When it doesn't work we simply get a blank screen in the window.  Did you resolve your issue?  If so, perhaps you can provide us with some suggestions for solving our problem.
    Thank you,

  • Will my disk be formatted if I upgrade to Mountain lion when it releases

Hello, I have a Mac running snow leopard, if I upgrade to mountain lion when it releases what I have to format my disk.

Mountain Lion is not a shipping product quite yet; that's scheduled for July.
Here is some general information on the upgrade, including the current hardware requirements.
Details beyond those posted at the Apple web site or in the Keynote are under non-disclosure; anybody that knows the details of Mountain Lion likely can't discuss it, and speculation isn't something that's generally permitted here in the forums.
If you're interested in an early copy of Mountain Lion, you can join the Mac developer program.

I have xcode 4.3.2 and  iOS simulator Version 5.1 (272.21). But this course is on iOS 6. If I upgrade my iOS from 5.1 to 6.0 then do I have to upgrade my Xcode also? So my question is all my old Xcode project which I have tried with Xcode 4.3.2 will be still there because I do not want to destroy them.
I have a MacBook Pro (Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b). Please let me know about upgrading iOS version so that I will be able to do the class project.

To program for iOS 6, you need iOS 6 SDK. You need to download Xcode 4.5.x. But don't worry. All your previous projects are still alive and you are able to open them in the new Xcode.

  • Old links/favorites lost or redirected on upgrade to netweaver SP10

We have a BPS application that is web enabled and has been running fine.
Just upgraded to netweaver SP10 and as part of upgrade, the port on the link changed from 1024 to 8001
We are finding that favorites or menu items in the links menu has ceased to work.
Modifing the link from 1024 to 8001 in the link properties does not work.
Creating a new link with the exact properties of the favorite/menu does work.
Typing the address directly in the exploerer address bar works fine.

    Some thoughts
    1. You could download the trial of pse9 and see if the hassle is worth it.
Some things are better and some are worse.
    2. Are you docking the panels or trying to keep them free floating like
your older version of photoshop did?
    3. Yes that happens when start elements with your internet on.
        See this page
    4. You can only add things from the effects and content panels to the favorites panel
like effects(actions), frames, layer styles etc.
    5. The only change in the interface is light or dark:Preferences>General.

  • Releasing transport requests with job roles take forever after upgrading to Netweaver 7

    Dear experts,
Some time ago we've out SAP ECC 5 system to ECC 6. Since then, it takes a very long time to release transport requests containing job roles.
For example, a request containing 154 job roles (1 template and 153 derived roles) took 4 hours to release in our DEV system. Before the upgrade this only took a couple of minutes.
Afterwards, the import in our QAS and PRD system don't take longer than normal.
Apparently this time is taken by the Export phase:

Does anyone know what causes this and how to solve?
    Kind regards,
    Nicolas

    Hello Nicolas,
What I understood from your description is that ,it takes very long time to release the job. Once it is released, execution does not take much time.
To me it seems to be background job/work process issue. Maybe all the background work process are busy to execute current jobs and no free work process available for the jobs which are in the queue. In that case, if possible try to increase number of bg work processes.
Check for any performance issues during that period. Check if there is any locking issue and jobs are stuck because of that.
Hope this helps to investigate the issue

  • Relation between netweaver & ecc(plz see these questions friends)

    hi folks,
    plz answer questions---
    1.   can we install all netweaver  components on    development machine?
    2.   what i feel is..one can install netweaver     application server on a machine and can develop applications on that machine.after that any one can access that application remotely.///then here my doubt is what he accesses really ?do he accesses r/3   ..i fell netweaver application server acts as mediator for remote user and r/3? is it correct?

    Hi Shabbir,
Are you talking about the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloads?rid=/library/uuid/da699d27-0b01-0010-99b0-f11458f31ef2">java EE 5 edition</a> of SAP NetWeaver Application Server? Because if this is the case, you can surely install it on a developer machine! Actually, this is exactly what this installation has been built for
However, this release is focused primarily on the Java EE open standards. It supports certain backend connectivity options, e.g. based on JCA 1.5, SAP Java Connector (JCo), and others, but in order to access R/3, of course, you'll need it installed separately.
With the Application Server Java you can develop, deploy, and manage robust, scalable, performant Java applications. These applications then could, in particular, access the SAP backend systems and in this way serve as a mediator between the remote user and the backend (R/3). This is just one of the many possible scenarios that you could implement on top of SAP NetWeaver Application Server.
    Does that answer your questions?
    Best regards,
    Vladimir

  • Upgrade to Netweaver 7.3 & BWA7.2 : Java version issue

    Hello,
Could you please tell me if it's possible to upgrade the ABAP stack of a BI system from 7.01 to 7.30 and to upgrade the java stack from 7.01 to 7.02 ? In this [SAP document|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/70b3f2c0-cbea-2b10-ef9e-90f61c39c1fb?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true], slide 16 it seems it possible to have different version. But as this document is a little bit old, I would like to have a confirmation that all BW7.3 features will be available.
By upgrading the java stack to 7.3, IE6 browser won't be supported anymore ... and it's an issue for y company.
Moreover with this configuration, is it possible to use all new features of BWA 7.2 (BI Accelerator) ? For me yes, because it's only link to ABAP stack (OLAP) but I may be wrong.
    Thanks for your reply,
    Regards,

  • Upgrade from Microsoft Word X Service Release 1

I may be posting in wrong forum, if so please let me know a more appropriate forum to post in.
When I originally made the heavenly switch to Apple, I purchased the student version of Microsoft Word X Service Release 1. It still works fine, except that I cannot open the latest version of PC-produced .docx files, and sometimes I lose things when opening a later version of excel docs.
My question(s), assuming I need those to versions, will upgrading to the latest version of Word for Mac correct it. Can I just upgrade or do I have to buy the whole office package again? Has anyone else upgraded successfully? Any comments/advice welcome. Thanks!

*"Can I just upgrade or do I have to buy the whole office package again?"*
    You can try the converter:

If that doesn't work ,you'll need to pay for the upgrade to Office 2008.
Also, you may want to consider posting further questions regarding Office on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac products:

  • SAP BW 3.5 Upgrade to Netweaver 7 with SEM-BW and FINBASIS

    Hi,
We are currently planning the upgrade of our SAP Business Warehouse 3.5 environment to Netweaver 7.0 EHP2 SPS6. However our BW 3.5 environment also has FINBASIS 300 and SEM-BW 400.
SAP Note 852448 discusses the requirements for upgrade FINBASIS and SEM-BW to a Netweaver 7.00 environment, but does not mention anything about enhancement pack 2 SPS6 for NW 7.
    Can we upgrade from:
    BW 3.5 / FINBASIS 300 / SEM-BW 400
    to
    NW 7.0 EHP2 SPS6 / FINBASIS 600 / SEM-BW 600
or are restricted to only upgrading to:
    NW 7.00 (no enhancement packs) / FINBASIS 600 / SEM-BW 600
If we can apply the NW EHP2 SPS6 files, then are there associated FINBASIS and SEM-BW EHP/SPS files we need to be aware of?
    Regards
    Shaun

    Hi Kevin,
I confirmed with SAP Development Support (Germany) that we CAN NOT remove the SEM-BW and FINBASIS components during the upgrade.
As EHP5 is not available yet for the SEM-BW / FINBASIS components that leaves you with the only option to upgrade to BI 7.01 (EHP1).  You can't use the maintenance optermiser to determine the files you need so you will have to go old-school and download the add-on components, and support packs to bind-in manually.
I did this about two weeks ago with no problems at all.  The upgrade was extremely easy, once you had all the correct add-on components and support packs downloaded and extracted into EPS/in.  Just run PREPARE a few times if your concerned with what you have downloaded, but I had a consistent queue with very little effort.
    Cheers
    Shaun

  • CS language pack for certain software components (release 604)

    Hello SAP friends,
I'm installing Czech language on our system and have found two packages with corresponding software components, so the system is mainly translated now, however there are still some components not translated.
    Namely these:
    EA-APPL
    EA-GLTRADE
    EA-HR
    EA-PS
    EA-RETAIL
    ECC-DIMP
    FI-CA
    FINBASIS

    IS-CWM
    IS-H
    IS-OIL
    IS-PS-CA
    LSOFE
    SAP_APPL
    SAP_HR
    SEM-BW
    All release 604.
I haven't found any packages in the SAP note 330104. So is there a possibility to translate these packages, or is upgrade needed?
    Thanks for help in advance.
    - Stefan

    Hi,
Please kindly check the SAP note 1402868.
This note refers to language on EHP4.
After the EHP, some packages are delivered, and for those packages, the
    Language Supplementation is required.
Please refer to the sap attached note 330104.
This note explains about the packages that need supplementation after

  • Upgrade to NetWeaver - How to

Currenly we are at the following level:
    SAP EP 6.0 SP 2 Patch 4
    ITS 6.2 Patch 17
    J2EE 6.2 SP22
We want to upgrade to a 'stable' version of NetWeaver, but don't know where to start.  Can someone give us a <u>detailed</u> listing of which software versions we need to download and install, along with the appropriate Patch Levels and the order inwhich we must install the software?

    Hi Doug,
In order to 'upgrade' to NW04, you actually have to go through a migration process. This process is not an easy task and should be planed in details before head.
In general what you should do is as follows:
    - Download and install NW04 SR1 (WAS, EP, KMC).
    - Download the migration tool for the WAS, EP and KMC and run the migration itself.
    - After the migration process is done successfully, you should upgrade to the most updated SP of the NW (currently SP12).
All the softwares can be found in SMP under the NetWeaver Components. if you do not find it, please post a message and I will direct you.
Please note, a migration process <b>is not</b> a standart upgrade process. You should learn the process and plan it very verfully before runnng it.
Hope this information will help you.
    All the best,
    Aviad

  • Upgrade is on the wrong line. Question.

My fiance added  a line for me in August/September of 2010. With said line should have came the ability to purchase a new phone. At the time, I didn't have the money and still had a Droid Eris. So I activated the Eris. Now I've cracked the screen and decided I would purchase a new phone (Droid X). But the upgrade is on the primary line, which is her line. So my question is. Can I purchase the Droid X on her upgrade and activate it on my line?

There should be no need to do this, as you said, because your new line should still have the upgrade eligibility. It should have been added as a new line on a month-to-month contract since you provided your phone. I would call CS and talk to them about that.

  • Upgrade SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.0 to 7.3 - Custom coding

    Dear all,
we would like to upgrade an existing SAP NW Portal 7.0 to the latest version 7.3. The current installation contains a number of custom coded portal and Web Dynpro applications. As far as I understand SAP's upgrade guides, documents and notes:
    - Web Dynpro applications of NW 7.0 are source compatible to version 7.3 but not binary compatible and thus need to be manually migrated to the new platform. The manual migration consists of an import of the respective artifacts (DCs) to NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3 in order to rebuild, re-archive and re-deploy the software.
    - Portal applications developed with Java 1.4.2/J2EE 1.3 (default version of SAP NW 7.0) are generally source and binary compatible to those developed with Java EE 5 (JDK 5/6) in SAP NW 7.3 and thus do not need to be manually migrated. However, the KMC-API and the UME-API used therein have been changed. In case an application uses these APIs, it is necessary to adjust the source code before rebuilding and re-deploying the application.
Is the summary presented above correct? If not, could you please point out which assumption is wrong?
Furthermore, could you please give me any details about changes regarding the portal frameworkpage? We have a highly customized frameworkpage and would like to know in how far the latter will be running on the new portal version.
Thanks for your help and best regards,
    Markus

    Hi Markus
Its been long period since last reply on your reply. In case you haven't yet solved your issues, I hope my reply would help you to some extent.
As per SAP, all those WD Java applications that were developed on NW 7.0 needs to be migrated on NW 7.3 if you plan to make further modifications (on new environment) in these applications.
For migration, all you need to do is migrate the development track, import the track into NWDS 7.3 and migrate the DCs one by one.
However in case of Portal applications, some of our custom portal applications (TLN), worked as it is on NW7.3 but some are not working even after defining new dependencies. Since some of the Classes have been removed, we are working around them.
