Why can't I upgrade my mac iOS from 10.6.8 to 10.7?

Your computer must have enough RAM memory and enough free drive space, as well as being modern enough to run 10.7 Lion.
Visit the Apple Online Store, and buy a 10.7 Lion redemption code, about US$20. This will be fulfilled by email in 1 to 3 days (it requires human intervention, so you will not get it over this Thanksgiving weekend).
The email will contain both a code and instructions, which will allow you to download 10.7 Lion from the Mac App Store. Once downloaded, it will remain on your "Purchases" page, and can be re-downloaded as long as Apple leaves it online. This software will be tagged with your Apple-ID, which may be required to re-download.
Many Users prefer to create a bootable Installer drive, and 8GB or larger thumb drive is the preferred medium. To do this, you must interrupt the process AFTER the download and Before the Install -- as the Installer is deleted after successful Install.
10.7 is intended to create a Recovery partition on the Boot Drive, which can be used to run Disk Utility or start a re-download and re-Install. Once updated to 10.7.3 or later, a copy of the Recovery partition is created on your Time Machine Volume as well.

I am very disappointed at Apple's service, especially considering that I have been a loyal customer of iphone / ipod touch in the past few years. I need an official reply from Apple on this! How can Apple be so irresponsible to their own firmware failure??

Install more RAM in the computer; the Mac needs to have at least 2GB of RAM and should have 4GB or more first.

As you mentioned that you just upgraded the database, so the data is same and schema is same you can connect with the same work schema.
Yes, you can use the same contexts , but need to do Reverse Engineering for your new database.
And about data server, i think you also have no need to create new data server, if hostname,sid and port etc are same as these were with R11(consult with your DBAs regarding it)

It doesn't matter. The results are the same. Lightroom 3.2 is Lightroom 3.2 whether you download it or buy the box.

To configure the browser to use Acrobat or Adobe Reader to open PDF files:
1. Quit Internet Explorer(any other browser)
2. Start Acrobat or Adobe Reader.
3. Choose Edit > Preferences.
4. Select Internet in the list on the left.
5. Deselect(Uncheck) Display PDF in Browser, and click OK.
6. Restart Internet Explorer

Hi all,
I cant seem to upgrade to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8 on my X220.
Originally during the install it states "This application wasn't installed - view details".
Then it states "Something happened and Windows 8.1 couldn't be installed. Please try again. Error code 0xc0000005"
Then it states "Something happened and Windows 8.1 couldn't be installed. Please try again. Error code 0x80246007"'
Anyone have any suggestions?

According to your description, Windows 8 Operating System installed on your computer, right?
Did you update to Windows 8.1 via Windows Store?
If yes, follow Cyber_Defend_Team's suggestion, check if your computer meet the prerequisite.
After that, try to install Windows 8.1 for test.
If the issue persists, according to this blog to troubleshoot:

I use too play starcraft and other games on this computer although new patched/updates have made it that I can no longer do that now. Really frustrating having to deal with this especially after buying this computer upfront and now out of warranty.

Go to your Applications folder and find a file called "Install OS X Mavericks". Send it to the trash and delete it. Then try the download again.

There is no reason that a similar upgrade shouldn't also work with the MacBook Pro.

We have upgraded the R/3 system from 4.7 to ECC 6.0. I am looking into the SPAU Note corrections and it has a huge list of Notes to be implemented. I think some of these would have been already included in the upgraded version but is there a way to cross verify this. As of now I am comparing the support packages going into each Notes. But this is a huge list.
Do any one has a effective approach to share?

If you use SPAU, it will take care of the notes "already in the support package" and "to be implemented". Just click on the icon in front of the note number, the system will download the newest version of the note and check, if it´s still valid.
