    Hi Friends,
    OS = Windows XP 3
    Database = Oracle 11g R2 32 bit
    Processor= intel p4 2.86 Ghz
    Ram = 2 gb
    Virtual memory = 4gb
    I was able to install the oracle 11g successfully, but during installation at the time of database creation I got the following error many times and I ignored it many times... but at 55% finally My installation was hanged nothing was happening after it.....
    ORA-28056: Writing audit records to Windows Event Log failed Error  and at 55% my Installation got hung,,,, I end the installation and tried to create the database afterward by DBCA but same thing happened....
    Please some one help me out, as i need to install on the same machine .....

    Thanks Now I am able to Create a database , but with one error,
    When I created a database using DBCA, at the last stage I got this error,
    Database Configuration Assistant : Warning
    Enterprise Manager Configuration Failed due to the Following error Listener is not up or database service is not registered with it.  Start the listener & Registered database service & run EM Configuration Assistant again....
    But when I checked the listener was up.....
    Now what was the problem,  I am able to connect and work through sqlplus,
    But  I didnt got the link of EM and when try to create a new connection in sql developer it is giving error ( Status : failure - Test Failed the Network Adapter could not establish the connection )
    Thanks & Regards
    Creation of the dbcontrol requires a connection via the listener.  When configuring the dbcontrol as part of database creation, it appears that the dbcontrol creation step runs before the dynamic registration of the databsase with the listener is complete.  Now that the database itself is completed and enough time (really, just a minute or two) has passed to allow the instance to register, use dbca or emca to create the dbcontrol.
    Are you able to get a sqlplus connection via the listener (sqlplus scott/tiger@orcl)?  That needs to be the first order of business.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7 Home Prem; Error code 0xC1900101

    Have been trying to upgrade to Windows 10 (from Windows 7 Home Prem 64 bit). However, the upgrade fails showing an error code 0xC1900101. Tried uninstalling MCafee Antivirus and upgrading, but that fails too. Also, checked and installed all 'other' available system updates and tried. But no luck.During the installation process, the failure occurs when the system has finished copying and is in the process of installing drivers (that is, after the second restart). I have noticed that the 'installing drivers' process was also almost 90% complete. Once the second restart process begins, the system hangs and processor keeps running (and so does the cooling fan, at its highest speed). Earlier, had heating problems which used to hibernate my system during this process, but have fixed that now. And I get this new error message (in the subject above).Guess, the issue occurs when the system is trying to install drivers or when it is trying to upgrade its configuration. Need help!

    I dunno if this is related but I had an error as well during the upgrade on an HP DV5. You can find more information on the error if you analyze the dump file (.dmp) found in the Windows.BT folder right after the upgrade fails. You can use a utility like BlueScreenView. In my case, the upgrade crashed at around 75% of the total process (when configuring settings). Analyzing the dump file showed that the error was caused by a driver named 000.fcl, related to Cyberlink and their DVD player. Turns out this is used in the HP QuickPlay feature. After removing HP Quick Play, the upgrade proceeded as normal. Hope it helps anyone with a similar problem !

  • Satellite Pro C850-1M - upgrade to Win 8.1 fails - error 0xC1900101-0x30018

    Hello to all,
    bought a new Sattelite Pro C850-1MX (PSCBZE 00M009GR) in december 2013. System is running almost unchanged to delivery state. Yet installed OpenOffice, Firefox and AdobeReader in most actual versions. And updated driver for AMD-GPU to latest version. No other changes done.
    Now tried to upgrade to Windows 8.1 via Windows-App-Store. Download was done, upgrade run, reboot, installing changes, preparing devices --> reboot, rollback to 8.0 with error code 0xC1900101-0x30018.
    Searched internet for solutions: Toshiba sais
    - update all Toshiba-components via TOSHIBA Service Station --> done
    - (Link: [http://www.toshiba.de/innovation/generic/windows8_1-upgrade-stepbystep/]): deinstall some components: esp. LAN/WLAN-driver.
    Hmmm...if I do so I cannot access Windows App-Store to rerun the upgrade because i have no network-connection. Stupid...
    - Why cant I upgrade an almost unchanged system because of some driver-uncompatibilities where i didnt change anything from delivery state???
    Please state any hint/solution. Thanks!
    Mark

    This error message appears because of some not compatible drivers and tools which are already preinstalled on Windows 8 system.
    This issue has been reported many times here in the forum and was solved as reported by user harrie_1 at 12-Jan-2014
    Look into this thread: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=74631

    +What important is to remove the internet connection.+
    +Only use to download 8.1 then disconnect (also Lan cable)+
    +After starting Win 8.1 for the first time do not connect to the internet.+
    +On another pc download first the drivers for 8.1 audio,realtek wlan and bluetooth and display driver.+
    +Install and restart after this when de system is stable you can connect to internet and download the windows updates.+

  • Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, Can't upgrade to Windows 10 - "Something happened" error

    I've tried several times and I simply can't upgrade to Windows 10 on my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro. The instalation process exists with the absurd "Something happened" error. I tried to set the Locale to en/us, and tried to install the ISO through a USB stick but no luck! Earlier I had setup my yoga 2 pro as a dual boot with both Windows 8.1 and Linux. Although I've never made any change to my OEM drives, since I went dual boot the one key recovery service also doesn't work. I still have all those OEM drives intact. When I go to the BIOS setup, I have two boot sectors, one is the original windows boot, and the other is the new linux boot; but I'm not sure it is related or not.

    Hi SteveU,
    Many things been tried (read the original post) - hybrid shutdown, intel drivers, uninstalling and installing again Lenovo Energy Managment driver (win 8.1 one), trying to use the Windows10 default driver for Energy management, shutting down with holding the shift (or alt button) can't remember now, many many things and clearly this is a Micorosft issue + Lenovo. Not enough testing down before hand, but everyone is happy at Lenovo as our money is at their bank... and have got expensive bit of kit that we shut-down holding down the button - because is just better than pressing shut-down...
    This is the second time I'm let down by Lenovo - was thinking will give them another chance but as you can see moderators viewing or post but none of them has got a solution - isn't that right Amy@Lenovo or Majestic
    Clearly Ms and Lenovo will blame each other now.
    Fed up with this...
    Windows 8.1 is the way to go, don't know why I was hoping that the latest MS updates will sort the issue out - wrong again
    At least the Mail app works fine now

  • Windows 8 Recovery failed; Error code: 0xc000000f

    Hi,
    I am having some trouble with my HP Envy m6 laptop.
    I was using Windows 8 pro for almost a year without having any problem. After installing Win8.1 Pro, I had trouble booting and called in HP support and conducted a System Recovery. Everything was good but system was slower.
    So, I backed up all data and then proceeded to do a Factory Reset (with HP Recovery Manager) with my HP Recovery DVDs which I have burned earlier. Everything seems to be working fine however the restoration failed (Incomplete restoration)! Tried couple of times but same problem.
    While conducting some self-tests, 'Memory Test' (under Run-In Test) failed with "FAILURE ID: RGCD5F-6G56SV-XV7X0K-406803".
    At the end, got following error:
    "Recovery
    Your PC needs to be repaired
    A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed.
    Error code: 0xc000000f
    You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacture."
    I tried to reach HP Support since still have warrenty but unfortunately I just wasted my time talking to them. I purchased my laptop from Canada but currently living in Australia which made it really difficult to communicate with them.
    Can anyone please give me some idea what I needed to do to resolve this issue? I went through several articles in here but failed to get the correct ones. Most of them are for Windows 7 and there are many differences in Windows 8!
    I am urgently requesting some assistance from a HP expert who has experience dealing similar issues.
    Thank you.
    Best Regards,
    Suranjit

    The failure ID that you have provided for the memory test means that the Checksum has failed. This means that it is not finding a part that should be available, but is not showing. After taking a look into the issue of the memory test failing, the most likely cause of the failure is one memory modules has failed. I have included a link to another HP Forum thread here. Please follow the steps that DavidPK has outlined.
    For the recovery error message that you are getting, this means that an integral component used during startup can not be found. This error should resolve itself once the memory Checksum error is resolved.
    If your notebook has two memory modules, you should be able to boot from the one memory module until the other one is replaced.
    Please let me know the outcome of the troubleshooting, thank you.

  • Unable to Connect to my organization's EAS using MS Mail app since upgrade to Windows 8.1 -- certificate error

    Last November, my ASUS laptop forced me to update to Windows 8.1.  Since then, I cannot connect to my organization's mobile EAS using the Mail/Calendar/People app.  The Mail app says "We could not connect to .... because of problems with its
    digital certificates.  Contact your system administrator for info."  I also tried to delete the account and recreate it.  At the account info screen, it gave a related error message, stating "To connect to this account, you need a
    valid certificate on the PC. Contact your system administrator for more info."
    In trying to recreate the account, I note that the 8.1 Mail app appears to have combined all EAS connections -- I seem to recall different options for connecting previously, including one that was more specific to mobile EAS connections.  My organization
    only supports connection to mobile devices, and I continue to be able to connect via Windows phone, Android (iOS devices also supported).
    I have done some digging and see that in my Windows Certificate Manager, there is a Personal Certificate with an error message. It's a "Token Signing Public Key" for "Client Authentication" using an RSA Public Key, but under the Certification
    Path tab, the status states "The issuer of the certificate could not be found."  I suspect this is the certificate that my organization's server is sending but is no longer being recognized by Windows 8.1.
    My organization has been unwilling to support me on this.  They point to the fact that all other devices work, my connection worked with Windows 8.0, and they don't have enough users that connect via Windows 8.1 laptops/tablets to troubleshoot on their
    end.  They also don't want to change setting that then cause other users to lose connectivity on the more commonly used mobile devices.
    So, to trouble shoot myself, I have looked up posts on related issues and I have done all of the following to no avail:
    - Make sure my Windows is up to date, including that latest Certificate/Credential update;
    - Uninstalled the Mail/Calender/People App, restarted, and reinstalled it;
    - Had MS Online support try to trouble shoot.  They created a test account and tried to connect using that to no avail.
    Notably, I have two Windows 8.1 machines -- my wife and I got matching ASUS laptops that both upgraded to 8.1 from 8.0  -- and I am unable to connect to my organization's mobile EAS using either machine.
    To me, this is clearly a Windows 8.1 issue.  The Mail/Calendar/People app should interface with mobile EAS exactly the same way that other mobile OSes do.  Apparently this was the case with Windows 8.0, but no longer.
    The last thing I'll add is that my organization requires password and remote wiping when connecting to the mobile EAS.  But, this wasn't an issue when I had Windows 8.0 -- it connected fine and mandated password and remote wipe features.
    NOTE: I originally posted this question on the Windows 8.1 Tehchnet forum and was told by an MS Engineer Soumya Sunda Debroy to repost in this forum.
    PLEASE ADVISE.  YOUR HELP IS APPRECIATED.

    Per the post above, I was pointed to Microsoft's remote connectivity analyzer and it appears to me that the GoDaddy Certificate -- which was compatible with Windows 8, is not compatible with Windows 8.1.  (See results below.
    I've also seen posts in other threads to "Ignore SSL errors" -- my Mail app doesn't present me that option, even though I uninstalled and reinstalled it.  So, can anyone help?

  • Re-install on Windows 8.1 fails (error 1624)

    In March 2012 I installed PSE v10 on my laptop (Windows XP Pro SP3); through download. Because XP will soon not be supported with safety updates any longer, I installed Windows 8.1 (clean installation after backup of the data files) on the same laptop.
    After  restoring the install directory from this backup it turns out that the SETUP.EXE returns -- soon after having provided the serial number -  an error starting with:
    "Server returned unexpected error 1624 attempting to ..."
    Please help.
    Regards - Jan

    Hi Jeff,
    Thanks for the tip, but ... unfortunately no succes with that utility: no problems found.
    After that I searched the register for "elements 10" --> no entries found! Please remember that I did a clean install of win8.1 and then I restored the complete directory with the installation files of PSE 10 --> double clicked SETUP>EXE --> the error message(s).
    What do you think? Maybe there is a link somewhere to PSE 10 on the Adobe site and start from scatch?
    { In the mean time (yesterday) I installed PSE 12_30day_trial_version, because I needed a PSE feature urgently. }

    Restack your tcpip, and make sure you are not missing the winsock dll. Quite often, restarting the windows machine would also help.

    TrevorQ's idea works great! Thanks! I had already gone and gotten my second nano 4GB and the same thing happened both times after using the updater - called support on first and they had no answer. Thanks a bunch - was starting to lose hope after it happened again on the second one. Must be a problem with the updater 4-23-06 and the newest ITunes upgrade.
    If you have trouble with the right click - after the ipod is highlighted then click on the file menu and play the waiting game again - format should appear in the menu after an extended wait. Good luck all!

    Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3065013) Succeeded  Optional  7/29/2015 I have run Windows 10 Ready Check and it reports that the machine can be upgraded to Windows 10.  Wanting to know what caused the failures listed above, I checked for a failure discription.  I get the following: Upgrade to Windows 10 HomeInstallation date: ‎8/‎5/‎2015 6:04 AMInstallation status: FailedError details: Code 80240020Update type: ImportantInstall the next version of Windows.More information:

    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=507417 I have done two things: 1/ I had a long chat with HP tech support.  The bottom line from this chat was to sit tight and wait. 2/ I had a phone conversation with Microsoft.  The advice was the same... just wait. I seem to have another option.  Instead of just waiting, I can take manual action: 1. Go into "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download" and delete everything in that folder.
    2. Now, run the command prompt as an administrator. Type in "wuauclt.exe /updatenow".
    3. Go to your Control Panel > Windows Update and your Windows 10 should start re-downloading from scratch, hopefully without flaws this time. Here is my questions? 1/ What should I do - sit tight or take action? 2/ What system is giving the errors in the log?  Is it a program locally on my machine trying to ask Microsoft if it is ready now?  Or is it Microsoft calling from the outside and really finding a problem on my system. 3/ I see that other people are having the same problem, but nobody that I could find explains the root cause of the error.  Can you help? Thanks in advance, Bob

    Hi Rixander,
    Thank you for your reply.  I do not think I have explained my questions well.
    1/  I have run updates every morning.  This morning there were 2.
    2/  I did not run the update that caused the error "Upgrade to Windows 10 Home                               Failed      Important    8/5/2015".
    3/  What system or process caused this this entry?
    Until I clearly understand what is going on, I am going to do nothing.  Window 8.1 is working well.
    Cheers,

  • IPod won't sync, gives 'Delayed Write Failed' error.

    I've had my iPod classic 80gb, for roughly a year now, and I never really had any permanent issues with it, until last week. I plugged it into my laptop and left it on over night. I wake up in the morning and all my songs and videos were gone. iTunes was reading the data as 'Other'. Overnight, without me doing a single thing, everything was gone. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, and all the files were gone. Completely. Space had been returned.
    I painstakingly put my songs back in that afternoon. The next day, I plugged the ipod into my office computer, and tried to sync my podcasts. After syncing about 20 files, iTunes froze. Then a yellow bubble popped up saying 'Delayed Write Failed' after which it wipes out everything I was able to sync.
    I've done everything, from restoring the ipod, to re-installing iTunes to formatting the disk to straight up performing a chkdsk. As i speak right now, my laptop won't boot up after i performed the last chkdsk, which told me i had a bunch of invalid sectors or some other. For one week, I've searched the net and it seems no-one has a solution to this.
    Any help? I don't have an Apple store in my country, and I don't want to believe that i have to get a replacement.

    1st - Sorry I can't help you.
    I also have iPod Classic 80gb and have had no trouble till two days ago (11/08). I connected my iPod and it showed up as a source in iTunes but none of my music was shown. I reconnected it and same thing, I checked for update for iPod but it said it was up to date. I then used iTunes to restore my iPod to factory settings. It went through the process and restarted but after that would never show up as a source in the iTunes window.
    When I connect the iPod to my PC it detects the USB Device as an iPod right way (so it doesn't seem to be a USB Driver issue) but then the "Auto-Play" window shows up and it makes my PC slow way down and then eventually I see the "Windows Delayed Write Failed" error mesage in the task bar. If I check My Computer it shows the iPod as a drive.
    I've done everything listed in Apples Support Page for this, from restoring the iPod, to re-installing iTunes, clearing temp folder and old registry files, updating iPod Service in MsConfig. I have also tried to sync the iPod with my other PC and see the same error so it seems the iPod is corrupted. I don't know anyway to restore factory settings again since it won't show up in iTunes anymore. I've searched the net and it seems no-one has a solution to this.

  • Upgrade from Windows 8.1 to 10 fails with an error code, at the very end of processing

    I tried to upgrade to Windows 10.  It went through the whole process, and upon reboot at the very end it failed.  It threw this message:  I searched on these terms and couldn't find an answer.  My machine is brand new.  I haven't installed much on it at all, figuring it's better to wait until I've gotten Windows 10 installed. Any ideas?

    So it looked like I was missing a KB update, the 3035584, which enables the upgrade.  I performed some Windows 8.1 updates and got everything set up. I ran the upgrade to Windows 10.  It went all the way through to the reboot, taking about 20~30 mins.  At this point it asks me to confirm installation, and I select "OK" and it goes for another 20 mins.  It proceeds about 10% of the way there, and then it reboots.  The next thing I see on my screen is "Restoring your previous version of Windows". I'm back to Windows 8.1 again.  I log in... and same error message as shown above. Frankly, I can't understand what is causing this... and why Windows can't "figure out" if my machine is good to go for a full installation in just 10 mins or so.  Why go through all of these gyrations for 45 mins only to reject the whole process?

  • G580 Upgrade to Windows 10 failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation

    0xC1900101-0x20017 I could not successfully upgrade from windows update, nor from the straight download site.   The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation.  I see w10 bios updates for other models.  Has anyone been successful in upgrading to W10 from W8?
