  • Is Lightroom 5 upgrade version (from Lightroom 3) ?

Is Lightroom 5 upgrade version (from Lightroom 3) compatible with OS X.8.4 or do I have to buy the full Lightroom 5?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
If you already have Lightroom 3, you should be able to use the upgrade version because it's compatible with 10.8.4

  • Can I use the upgrade version of Lightroom 5 to do a clean install?

Hi, I'm currently an owner of Lightroom 4 (download version, bought from adobe.com) and I'm looking to upgrade to Lightroom 5. At the same time I'm going to be 'moving' the installation to a new machine (currently it's installed on my MBA, which is going to be formatted and sold). Is it possible for me to get the upgrade version from adobe.com, but use the installer for a clean install? Or do I need to install my copy of LR4 first and then run the upgrade over the top?
Hopefully I can do this, if not I'll consider buying the full version again (I really hate upgrading software).
    Thanks in advance
    Steve

Yes, that will work just fine. You'll just need to make sure you have your LR4 serial number to hand during the installation as you'll be prompted for it to prove you're eligible for the upgrade version.

  • Does an OEM version of Photoshop CS3 bought from a reseller qualify to get the upgrade version of Lightroom 5?

I wish to purchase Lightroom 5 at a discounted price and the upgrade version is attractive. I have an OEM version of Photoshop CS3 which I bought online downloaded from a reseller.  Is this OEM version accepted as eligible for the upgrade version?

As an alternative to the OEM route, the Lightroom+Photoshop bundle deal at $10 per month is hard to beat assuming you are not opposed to software as a subscription.

  • With a subscription with CC, is it only the latest version of Lightroom that is available ? Because my computer support the version 3,6 ... is it possible to avec a license number to continue using it with my subscription ?

    Thanks in advance

If you have an operating system that Lightroom 5 will not run on, then you can't use the Creative Cloud version of Lightroom.

  • Moving upgrade version of CS 5.5 Web Premium to new computer

I'm wondering if I need to download the software that allowed me to upgrade to CS 5.5, or if I can just download the upgrade version and it will work fine.  Thanks.

    Hi kjakube,
You can download and install the CS 5.5 directly on to the new computer WITHOUT having the older version. But make sure you have the current version (CS5.5) and the older version serial numbers.
During the installation of CS 5.5 it will prompt you to enter the current version serial number as well as the older version serial number.

  • Why can't i find the upgrade version of Lightroom 6?

I am a existing Lightroom 5.7.1 user & i want to upgrade to Lightroom 6 version. But i can't find in, can anybody assist? Thanks.

Standalone, i.e. perpetual license version? In which case click on the "Products" link at the very bottom of the adobe.com home page, you'll then see Lightroom on the list. Click on "Buy", then you have the option to buy a "Full" license, but if you're upgrading then click on the "Full" drop-down arrow and select "Upgrade".
Existing CC subscriber? Logout of the CC desktop app, log back in again, you should then see the update options.

  • Moving upgrade version of CS 5.5 Design Premium to new computer with valid serial number but cannot find original CS 4 Design Premium serial number so will not accept

I am trying to move a fully licensed/registered version of Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium to a new computer, but since it was an upgrade from CS 4 Design Premium the installer says that it cannot find the software that allows it to be an upgrade. I have the old computer and still see the CS 4 installed, but cannot locate the Design Premium serial number. I do not have the original DVD or box for the CS 4 but have all for the CS 5.5.

If you sign in to your Adobe account online you might be able to find the serial number for your CS4 installation.

  • Can you upgrade from a previously upgraded version of LR

I was wondering if you can upgrade to lightroom 5 from a previously upgraded version of Lightroom as I'd like to do this. Thanks.

And, just to clarify, some people have this misconception that an upgrade version of Lightroom makes changes to the previous version to bring it current. The upgrade version, the trial version, and the full version are all the same Lightroom program. Each new version and each new interim update is a complete new installation of the Lightroom program. The only difference is the installation mechanism and what you are allowed to do with the installation.

  • Deactivate Upgraded Version

How do I deactivate an upgraded version of Lightroom 4? No "Deactivate" is listed under "Help"..

It's not an "activation" model.  Just uninstall it.

  • Upgrade version of LR6?

Will an upgrade version of Lightroom 6 be made available for those already using Lightroom 5?

Yes it is already there, go to your Adobe website, select MENU, PRODUCTS and then All Products down the bottom of the page and you will see Lightroom 6 where if you click 'Buy' you can then select 'Full' or 'Upgrade'.

  • Windows 8 Upgrade - 64-bit version of Lightroom -application error 0xc000007b

I've just upgraded my Desktop PC from the 64-bit Windows 7 operating system to 64 bit Windows 8 Pro. The migration has gone very smoothly, with justone exception - Adobe Lightroom 64-bit version 4.2 won't start up. As soon as I try to open the application it comes up with an error code of 0xc000007b.
Searching the web I've seen a number of suggestions which I've tried to to avail...
    - uninstal, restart and then reinstall Lightroom. Same 0xc000007b error
    - uninstal, restart, run ccleaner to clear registry issues, restart, download the latest version of Lightroom from Adobe website (4.2.1) and then reinstall Lightroom. Same 0xc000007b error
As a workaround I found that uninstalling Lightroom 64-bit and reinstalling the 32-bit version (by selecting the setup32.exe program, rather than using the install Lightroom 4.exe program) gives me a working copy of Lightroom again. This does however mean I'm using the the 32-bit version of Lightroom, rather than 64-bit version that I had working before the upgrade to Windows 8.
Why am I getting the 0xc00000fb problems with the 64-bit 4.2.1 version of Lightroom and how can I resolve the issue so I can go back to the 64-bit version that I had working in Windows 7 immediately before upgrading to Windows 8?
    Thanks for suggestions!
