Upgrade Without Using Photos?

If you upgrade to 10.10.3 and never open the new Photos software, is it possible to continue using iPhoto 9.6.1 just as before? This would give me time to continue reading the reviews/comments about Photos and get some of the other benefits of 10.10.3 like the supposed improvements in wifi.

What I've read is that you can do this. The iPhoto library remains untouched. Once you use Photos and make changes, those do not carry back into iPhotos. But, as I understand it, iPhotos and your iPhoto library library remain intact and unaltered by Photos. iMore has many articles on using Photos and here is a review from The Verge.

How do you view photos through windows explorer without using photo stream?

I updated to the iOS6 and I can no longer view and download photos to my PC through windows Explorer.
I do not really want too use photo stream and or the iCloud at this time...
It now appears Apple is now forcing you to use the iCloud to get pictures off of your iphone...
I dont want this, I want to do it manually, without the iCloud.
Help Please.

I run ios6 and when I connect my iphone to windows it show up as a camera in my computer this have been the case since the first iphone when I click on the camera I can navigate to the folders to where my pictures and videos are stored only the ones taken on the iphone mind you again something don by design and worked like that forever

Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader Results without using Photo Downloader

I always used the Photo Downloader to download files, rename them and organize them into folders named by date.
I recently upgraded to a Network Attached Storage device that has a USB Port directly on the front of it and allows me to dump all my camera files straight onto the external hard drive. However, it does not rename them - so it uses the raw file names that the camera assigns them and doesn't organize them in any way.
This is really handy for me as I don't have to copy 16gb of photos across a wireless network when I want to clear out a memory card. However, I haven't found a way to organize the files after the fact.
Is there any way to have Adobe Bridge (or any other Mac software!) go through those files and move/rename them the same way that Photo Downloader always did directly from the camera? How?

If you are sure your files have the metadata, in other words you can place your memory card into a reader and the information is there,
next step, is a total Bridge Preferences reset
Start Adobe Bridge and immediately press Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS) until the Reset Settings dialog box appears. Select all three options--Reset Preferences, Reset Standard Workspaces, and Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache--and then click OK.

IPhoto doesn't seem to pick up my iPhone device when i plug it in...how am i meant to get my photos to computer WITHOUT using photo stream with iCloud?

i want to be able to put my photos on without having to use icloud....when i usually plug in my phone to the imac it would automatically bring up itunes, then iphoto and continue to automatically ask to import my photographs, but today i plug it in and it brings up itunes, then iphoto, but doesnt bring up my device in iphoto and doesnt show any photos to import that are on my iphone??? hhhhelp!!! plzzz!! ...and is there another way to be able to get my photos to computer without icloud?

Some people have fixed this with a simple re-start of the phone, others needed to reset the Phone.

Well, if you have iOS 6 on your iPhone 4, and click on a photo in your photo library, then click the "share" button in the lower left, you see these options:
Mail
Message
Photo Stream (OK, you don't want that one)
Twitter
Facebook
[4 other options not directly related to electronic sharing]
So I would say you have a plethora of options.

How to include an enhancement package with upgrade without Solution Manager

I have been trying to do an upgrade from SAP R3 46C to ERP6 in my sandbox. I want to include Enhancment package 3 with the upgrade. I have tried using the Solution Manager to download the Enhancement package and it work fine except that it did not create the XML Stack configuration file that the upgrade is looking for. Therefore I downloaded the DVD for Enhancement package 3 and included that in the mounted CDs in the PREPARE portion of the upgrade and it does not recognize it.
Now for my question, is there a way to include the Enhancement package with the upgrade without using Solution Manager? If so, could someone please let me know where to find the information or share the procedure with me?

The EPs are just like support packages (optional); if the upgrade is not letting you put it during upgrade then just do it once the upgrade is completed.

Updating My Mac Without Using A CD?

I've recently started reusing my Macbook (10.4.11) after breaking another laptop... I was wondering if it's possible to upgrade - and I've read I can upgrade to snow leopard if I increase RAM size then by the CD etc... - but I need to upgrade without the CD. The reason I stopped using my Mac was because the CD disk drive is broken and too expensive to fix. Therefore I was wondering if there is any way to upgrade without using a CD?

I've got 4,389 photos in my iphoto library on my new imac. Most of them are personal but a few maybe 500 are from my work. I need to get the personal photos safely out of this iphoto library permanently and onto my old (now personal) computer.
How can I do that without using the cloud or photostream? I've tried using these things in the past and I simpl can't understand them. I got into an awful mess with them and completely confused. I would prefer to just put the photos I want to transfer onto a USB stick or external hard drive and transfer them that way. The problem is I can't understand how to do that!!! I've no problem transferring other files in this manner I just can't figure out how to do it in iphoto.
I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain this in a simple way to me.

You cannot drag pics from computer to iphone. This has never been a feature of iphone.
You sync them as you would anything esle.
You select photos from the photos tab. Whatever is selected will be on your iphone. Anything not selected will not be. Make sure that everything you want on your iphone is selected, then sync.

You don't need a computer to activate a new iOS device anymore. Anything with iOS 5 can be activated over a WiFi network (or cellular if that applies).

Upgrading is actually add/drop some tables/views in PeopleTools 8.49 Database using Chang Assistant 8.50.
According to the document "Enterprise PeopleTools 8.50 Upgrade" Chapter 3 and Chapter 4, after configure Change Assistant 8.50 and EMF, we need to creat an Upgrade job and run some scripts.
I have configured Change Assistant 8.50 and EMF. EMF run successfully. After that, I don't know the exact steps to do in Change Assistant.
Can any folks tell me the steps to upgrade PT8.49 to 8.50 manually in Chang Assistant without using an Upgrade Template after configure Change Assistant and EMF ?

Do you know what is Change Assistant ? It is running job defined from template and indicate when step has to be done manually. But Change Assistant itself is nothing but an assistant, it does not build record, it does not run DMS, it does not run sql script, for all those Change Assistant is calling corresponding tools (AppDesigner, DataMover, SQL*Plus). Consequently, if you don't have template, you should do yourself every single step usually ran by the PsCA, but you won't need PsCA itself, just run manually whatever indicated in the doc (basically replace "PsCA" by "manually").
As I already told you earlier, it is tedious, but works fine if you pay attention enough.
