    Hello steveod2
The main thing to do is to sign out all services on your iPhone, like iCloud, iTunes & App Store, iMessage and FaceTIme. Check out the article below for more information.

Any content that your friend downloaded will be tied to their account - so if you want to sync to your computer's iTunes and keep that content then you will need to authorise your friend's account, and you only be able to download updates to their apps via their account. You should delete the apps and buy/download your own copies of them.

  • I want to download some free from iTunes Store but keep asking me for credit card. How will I download for free.

I want to download some free from iTunes Store but keep asking me for credit card. How will I download for free without asking for credit card.

No credit card.              Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
It is important to understand that these instructions apply to the creation of a new Apple ID with an email address not previously associated with an Apple account.

You have to configure Gmail to allow access to less secure apps. Thunderbird uses the IMAP-protocol, but Google thinks it isn't safe enough.
Go to your browser and login to Gmail. Now click on your profile picture and click Account. Go to the Security tab and click on Settings for Access for less secure apps under Account Permissions. Enable it and Thunderbird should have access to your email...
BTW This is totally safe. There's no need to scratch behind your ear about changing this setting

  • Someone help me I still have iPhone 3 and I can't download anything like my slotmania it let me download later version but keeps asking for me to upgrade and trying to figure out why it keeps doing that when I have already got downloaded but won't let me

Someone please help me I have an iPhone 3GS version 4.2.1 8c148a and I downloaded slotmania this morning and it won't let me play it keeps asking if I want to upgrade and I can't upgrade because phone won't let me so I'm wanting to play my game I use to could play it and farmville but for some reason it won't let me play .... Can someone help me figure out something because I'm sure their is a way I can and husband won't upgrade me and I got free upgrade and can't even get because he's cheap it's sad Hugh

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

  • My apps won't upgrade..keeps asking me for pass word then stops

When I go to upgrade my apps it keeps asking for p/w then the app stops... But it will let me down load new apps...hummm

Yes, it shows it, and it is correct.  I even tried typing in an incorrect password, and it says that password is incorrect when I am typing my password wrong.

  • Accepts password, but keeps asking for it.

I tried to rate authorize my computer, rate a CD, and write a review for a CD, but strangely, iTunes refuses to allow me to do any of those things.
It asks for my username and password, I type it in, it accepts both (dosen't return with the invalid username or password message), however, it opens up again and asks me to enter my password.
So it keeps asking me for my Username and Password, despite both being correct.
I've reset my password using the dialogue, no problems there.
I'm running the Windows 7 RC if that's any help.

This just happened to me (again). There's something funny about keychain access, Mail, and MobileMe that just wreaks havoc on passwords. It happened to me once under 10.4.11 and a forum search revealed the following solution. The fix that worked for me then, and again now under 10.5.4, was locating the relevant password in the keychain list and allowing global access. Use the Keychain access program.
Then I updated to 10.5.5, and things went haywire again. Mail wouldn't store a password even after deleting and recreating the count. The password box was annoyingly blank, and wouldn't accept input. My MobileMe pref pane turned out to be the culprit. I logged out of MobileMe in the pref pane, and Mail was happy again. I re-entered the password and re-enabled global access and all is kosher again.
Thoroughly underwhelmed with MobileMe's polish. It doesn't play nicely even with it's own software.

  • I cannot upgrade itunes keeps asking for itunes.msi

Tried to install upgrade to ITunes, asked for the file "ITunes.msi, could not find. Tried to remove it from control panel and asked for the same file. Looked up and followed the instructions, Tried to do an fresh download and it stilled asked me for the same file. Did a search and the file was not to be found.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • ILife upgrade but keep old iMovie

I'm thinking of upgrading to the newest version of iLife and since my Mac's processor is not fast enough for the new iMovie, I am wondering if I will still have the option of just upgrading the other iLife apps but keeping my old version of iMovie? Will all the other new apps still be compatible with my old version of iMovie?
Currently I have iMovie HD installed.
    Thanks,

iMovie 08 is NOT an upgrade of iMovie 06. It is a completely new application. iMovie 08 is better for absolute beginners that don't want to burn a DVD. Most others will like iMovie 06 for its far greater editing power and ease of making DVDs. (Like creating Chapter Markers and Share to iDVD.)
Most owners of iLife 08 I know use iMovie 06.
iMovie 08 is a wonderful program assuming that you're using it for what it was designed to do, assemble simple videos to share on the Internet.
Remember that Apple includes iMovie 06 is a free download to iLife 08 owners. (THEY WANT YOU TO HAVE IT!)

  • Icloud ios8 keeps asking for log in

my iCloud iOS 8 on my new iPhone 6 plus, that I've had for a month, keeps asking for my login not only mine. (also the person I share my cloud family share). I've also experience or my phone partners 6plus has used cellular data instead of the Wi-Fi that it's on, it's strange because I am on the same Wi-Fi with my 6plus so I know that's working. both bought a month ago at ATT. ATT has no information.

If you still have the old MBA, consider wiping the new one, reinstalling the OS using the recovery mode, and on first boot, use the Setup Assistant to do the migration. See Pondini's Setup New Mac guide for details. Eliminates all keychain and ownership issues.

Another user had success doing the following:
I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
      a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
      b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
"done", in the upper right corner
      c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
          security questions.
      d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
          questions.
It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.
    Good Luck friends!
