Upgraded from 10.5.x to 10.6.x - How do I transfer my keychain passwords?
So I recently made the upgrade from leopard to snow leopard and took this opportunity to move off the factory installed 250 gb HD and into one of the 500 gb HDs I bought separately as an expansion. This route was actually pretty good because I could visit my old Macintosh HD and see which applications I wanted to reinstall in a "clean install" environment. The problem is that I would like to transfer my keychain passwords over to my new OS/HD but I don't know where keychain pull's it's database from. I tried rebooting into my old OS so that I could go into keychain and export the data but my computer freezes when trying to load OSX 10.5.x. I can see the old Keychain access application, but when I open it, it opens up with no password data at all so I am assuming that the actual password data is stored in a file in the library file structure or something. Anyways, I have full access to my old files so what I would really like to know is how do I get my old passwords back? Is there a file somewhere in the systems or library directory that I could copy/paste into the new systems of library directory?
Found it. Username > Library > Keychains

I want to transfer pictures and music from my iphone 4S to a 5c. My pictures are not stored on icloud. Also, I would like to keep my apps and settings. Is all of this possible?
You will back everything up on iTunes. Then when you get your new phone, you will restore that backup to the new phone.

I just purchase an IPhone5C to upgrade from my IPhone4, but I do not know how to get all of my photos that were on ICloud on my Photo Stream (875 photos), on to my new phone. I thought that since my 5C can see Icloud that all photos would be there... Can someone help me get the pics from my Iphone4 to the 5C?
Photostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there (subject to a 1,000 photo limit) until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.
The consequence of this is that if you turn photostream off and on again on your device (or enable it for the first time), it will only be populated with photos from the last 30 days, which may not be all the photos that were previously in the photostream album on that device. -
Hi
I'm upgrading from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5,how can I save my music on the iphone4 so it appears on the iphone5??Have you been using your computer to sync your old phone? If so all your stuff is on your computer.
If you have not yet synced your old phone to a computer do so before switching to the new phone. Transfer all the photos from your old phone to the computer. Transfer all purchases from the old phone to the computer and make sure all your music ends up in iTunes on the computer.
Then when you get your new phone you can sync it with the same computer and load all your stuff easily. -
I just upgrade from the 4 to 5s. Are my apps supposed to transfer over and perhaps it just takes time to load like my email and pitures are? I tried to install apps and it showed that they are already installed. What do I do to get them to show up?
Hi, Twilavegas3.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your restored from a backup and the apps that are missing on the device show "Open" in the App Store, then they are located on other pages on your iPhone or are in folders. Also, with the iOS 7 update most developers have changed icon badging. This can cause some applications to be difficult to find.

Hi, do you know how can I upload inelegible songs from itunes to Icloud. They are songs added from original CDs. Another question would be how can I transfer all the music I have in my Ipod Classic to my Itunes or ICloud as I want to back it up.
Depends on why it's ineligible. If it's under 96 Kpbs, try right-clicking on the file and choosing Create AAC Version. (If you don't see this option, go to iTunes>Preferences, click "Import Settings..." then choose "Import Using: AAC Encoder" and "Setting: iTunes Plus".) Then rescan your library to see if this version will add to iTunes Match. Or, after changing your import setting, just re-import the song to your iTunes library.
If the song is over 200 MB you would have to reduce it's size to make it eligible. -

I plan to upgrade from OS10.5.8 to Snow Leopard. Will all my data, applications and settings transfer automatically?
If I need to back up what is the best way to do this?If everything works perfectly, your data should not be touched.
Personally I never trust my data to everything working perfectly.
I always backup everything twice at least. -
I am upgrading from an older iMAC G-5 running OS X 10.3.9 with Firefox 2.0.0.20 which doesn't have a Sync program to a new iMAC running OS X 10.7.2 and Firefox 7.0.1. I would like to transfer my bppkmarks and password to the new computer.

For the bookmarks (and history) you need places.sqlite<br />
For the passwords you need key3.db and signons.sqlite -

how do you transfer from ipod to the itunes library
You cannot transfer songs from iPod to computer using iTunes (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store). However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
NOTE: For songs from the iTunes Store, you can also use the Purchased screen (in the iTunes Store) to find and re-download previous purchases (at no cost). -
How do I transfer music from my Ipod Touch to my new computer?
1.Reinstall your system and your iTunes library, or just get your music, videos and photos off your iPod, and save them to your computer
2.Back up all of your music, playlists, videos and photos from iPod to a new computer.
3.Share your iPod contents with a friend.
4.Restore your songs, movies, and photographs from your iPod if you'tve lost your iTunes music library during a system crash.
Know more about how to transfer or copy music from iPod to PC, which included the detailed tutorials of how to transfer your music from iPod to PC.
Hopefully this works for all of you like it just worked for me! -

Is it free to upgrade from snow leopard to yosemite? If so how do you do it?
I need to upgrade my OS as I cannot use the Adobe Digital Editions without doing so.
I have OS 10.6.8 (snow leopard) on a pro laptop.
Is this possible? - have tried but failed. Press the download button it says and nothing happens.
Is it free as it says to upgrade to yosemite? I haven't a clue what to do. Help please.Yes, it is free. If you go to the App Store, sign in, and select Yosemite, nothing happens - is that correct? If so, try going back to the Featured tab and on the right side under Top Free, hover your cursor over Yosemite. A download button should appear. Click that and see if it works. If that doesn't work, try resting the App Store by following the reset link below.

Check that your computer is compatible with Mountain Lion/Mavericks/Yosemite.
To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) model number 3,1 or higher
Your Mac needs:
OS X v10.6.8 or OS X Lion already installed
2 GB or more of memory (More is better - 4 GB minimum seems to be the consensus)
8 GB or more of available space
Check to make sure your applications are compatible. PowerPC applications are no longer supported after 10.6.

Are there any recent tutorials or information for integrating Adobe Flex with Ruby on Rails 4?
I've combed and searched extensively and most of the documentation is anywhere from 4 to 7 years old. A lot of it focuses on outdated gems or libraries. I've even seen Rails 2.0 as a focus for a lot of this information. I would just like to know if
