Upgraded iPhone 4 to iOS5 - camera acting strangely?

Hey all - since I upgrade my iPhone 4 to iOS5, the camera app has been behaving strangely - in particular:
- It freezes - need to stop the app and restart
- Switching modes (from still to video) takes forever
- Pressing the video record button has a huge delay between when I press it and when it starts recording.
Anyone else having similar issues? Any solutions out there?

I have upgraded 5 devices and one of the iPhone 4 had the similar problem. The user were unable to use the sidebar at all (not even moving to the end of the list). And when the contact has Chinese index, system seem to reandomly group them to many different "#" groups instead of a single group of contacts with chinese as the 1st characters.
In addition to that, the Reminder app was also mistakenly set to Chinese UI after restore when the system language was actually set to English at all time (both the initial factory setting and backup image).
I guess the plists were screwed up or something during the restore from ios4 backup.. luckily that the Reminder title can be customized (and that's probably why it won't change back to English after reset).
I will continue to look around if someone else got this figured out too.. otherwise, I am sure I will be bugged by many other users and friends for the next couple weeks... : ()
...It does look like that the ios5 firmware and ios4 backup has some minor bot annoying conflicts waiting to be resolved... seriously, a bit disappointed this round.

I posted a fix for this temporary issue earlier but here it is in short:
The memory "hog" that is "others" seems to be the OS as it's installing. It seems to want more than 12GB and you may get stuck at the point where iTunes tries to load everything back on and the iPhone has run out of space. What you need to to is un-check the "sync" box at the apps, music, podcasts and other sections, then click the button to sync iTunes with iPhone. This will result in iTunes deleting all the data it restored, but you'll put it back later. Once you caused the deletion of most of the data, iOS5 will resume installing and then "magically" shrink to less than 1GB. Then you can place check marks back in the boxes and re-sync all your apps and other data. You will have plenty or memory left.
I followed the above procedure and my iPhone works perfectly.

apps are not tied to a computer or to an ios device they are tied to an appleID
you can see all apps you ever downloaded in your iphones app store app where you can redownload them for free

Upgraded iphone 4 to IOS5 now cant send email on 3G

I upgraded my iphone 4 to IOS5 a couple of weeks ago. The other day I turned off wifi and realized that my phone will not send email on 3G. It works fine on wifi but if wifi is turned off or not available I get a message telling me the server rejected the senders address. Any suggestions?

Having similar problem with iPad 2 after iOS7 upgrade, however App store is working, but not iTunes Store. I am guessing not a technical error. Any others having the same problem or have found a solution?

IPhone 3GS Frrezing, Deleting stuff, acting strange

My 3GS has been acting strange the past week or two. It is doing so many strange things that I'll just bullet and list them....
It freezes for 5-10 seconds, randomly. Can't swipe to a new screen, press and buttons or anything. Then returns to normal.
Push an App button and it's like I held in the button to delete or move icons.....
Sometimes pushing an App button doesn't load the App. Takes a few times to get it to open.
When typing a text or email, it adds periods in randomly. If I hit the delete button, it will sometimes just delete the text I just wrote.
There's a tiny gap at the top between the clock, battery, etc.... some black space. Sometimes, the upper "bar" moves to the very top of the screen leaving no black space. Not sure if I explained that too well.
I replaced the battery a few months ago because it would just shut off when it reached 50-60%. Others have had the same problem. Replacement went really smooth and it worked fine for at least a month or so.... so I doubt that's the culprit.
I have turned it off and on a few times. Synced with iTunes a few times and no luck. I have not restored yet. Don't really know what Restore does but I am going to read up on it.
Any other ideas or is anyone having similar issues? I search and found nothing....

My 3Gs is freezing on certain contacts (growing number and I believe they're all ATT customers.
To make matters worse...my daughter is a text addict... And most of the other texters just won't pay attention to my pleas that they calmer e.mail me, until the daughter's Saturday Wedding is over... So I can make an appt. At an Apple retailer to have a "genius" help me with this!!!! Everyone coming in for the rehearsal and Wedding is testing me! And I cannot open their message, much less reply via this form of messaging!
I'm so unable to mess with this right now-
I called ATT tech support and we tried a couple of possible options to fix this and wound up with something that was SO convoluted involving my PowerBook ( which was at home where I was NOT!) and a week later, here am, without reliable testing! Did you get any results in your problem?!?

No app store after upgraded iPhone 4 to ios5. Can't sync apps in iTunes

App Store not appearing on iPhone after upgrading to iOS5. Not able to select 'sync apps' in iTunes while iPhone is displayed & all other tabs able to be modified.

Okay, so I tried something different... I deleted all of the music from itunes (but not the files themselves), then copied my entire music libray to a new folder, then reset the "sync history". I imported all of the music from the new location into itunes, then dragged it onto the iphone. I then got the message:
"are you sure that you want to replace all of the songs on the iphone "xxxxx" with songs from this library?"
I clicked "replace songs", but still, nothing transfered.

Did you already try to reset your phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting the phone.

Can anyone please tell me what I can do to fix the following problem....I updated the software to ios 5.1 two days ago and since then my network coverage drops in and out. Very difficult to make recieve calls with this happening every few seconds and near impossible to use the Internet. I have contacted support but got no support as 90 days had just ended. I have researched this problem all over the Internet and am now aware that I am not the only one with this problem after the upgrade. I have reset many times and read every post and still there are no answers...Can anyone please help? I'm trying to run a business and it's impossible with the phone doing this now.

I have been having the same issue for the last two weeks. No real indication as to why it ever began other than I had turned off my router and Airport Extreme Base Station off for a weekend while I was away from my place.
iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, all have no issues at all with my Airport Extreme Base Station. Can stay connected throughout my living room, bathroom, bedroom, no issues whatsoever.
My 5 month old MacBook Pro 2.66 GHz Core i7 Airport is sometimes perfect, able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue. Then, for no reason, I won't be able to join my wireless network, or when I can join, I can't pick up an IP address. And then it will connect, pick up and IP, and then it won't browse. No real rhyme or reason to when this will happen, or when it works.
I thought that it was an issue with my MacBook Pro, but then my sister visited with her brand new MacBook Pro 2.26 Intel Core 2 Duo, and while a month ago she was able to connect, DHCP, and browse without issue, this weekend she had all of the same issues I was having.
My XBOX 360 and MacBook Pro have absolutely no issues with the wired connection. Only my WAN seems to have this issue.
Did you ever find anything more to this?

As many people have found out the hard way there is a SERIOUS BUG with iTunes 10.5 and iPhone 3gs.
1) If you update to iTunes 10.5 your iPhone 3gs 4.3.3 will NOT sync music. In fact it removes all access to the music files on the iPhone and will not let you resync them.
2) You have a 50 / 50 chance that update to ios5 WILL brick the iphone and will NOT restore.
This is now a documented fact across many tech sites and this support forum.
THE IOS5 Update will cause your phone to stop working. Good luck if you still want to try.

So i just upgraded my phone. My apps weren't launching. Tried a fix from someone to download a free app from the app store and now they all launch! Whew!
But the notification center still isn't working on my phone. . I swiped it and saw it the screen came up, but it's not showing the phone call or email that just came in. just the weather update! On my friend's phone who had upgraded she had a little bar across the top that was always there with current notifications. Mine doesn't do that. Any suggestions?

Camera acting strange?

I went to use my webcam and 1/4 of it at the bottom flashing different colors, & pictures etc..... it stops briefley and then continues....im not sure how to explain it.

I upgraded my iphone 4 to ios 5.1 as well and now it stuck in recovery mode for almost 10 hours since yesterday. I tried restoring it on my itunes but failed. My phone now could not be recognized on itunes and everytime i restore it, it shows an error occuring (1) I got no idea how to solve it now and i have no more phone to use.
