Upgraded iTunes last week since then having big problems with runtime library, uninstall iTunes, tried to reinstall still same problem with runtime library. Any suggestion?

Other message i get is window error 1114 - error 7
\or Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services

Hi there - I've spoken with Apple and here is their response (worked for me). You need to uninstall not only iTunes, but also (in this order):
1) iTunes
2) Apple Software Update
3) Apple Mobile Device Support
4) Bonjour
5) Apple Application Support
Then you restart your computer.
Then you install the latest version of iTunes (which will reinstall all those things you uninstalled).
Then you restart your computer again.
Mine is working perfectly again now.

Hi there,
Do you have icloud account? You need firstly turn off find my iphone (by go to icloud.com -->sign in --> go to "Find my iphone" and erase your iphone in it). And then you restore your iphone with DFU mode.
When you erase your Find my iphone and if you can not restore, your iphone has a problem with hardware.

Getting reeeally sick of this happening now.. everytime it sync's itunes tells me that it does not recognize my ipod device.. or something like that..
i have re-downloaded itunes, restarted and restored everythin several times, and done everything apple support tells me to try, but it just keeps happening. this is ******* me off.. please if anybody has had the same problem and managed to fix it, tell me, because im about to freak out here..

Thank you for your detailed question. It sounds like the real issue is pdf files. Are there any antivirus/firewalls that might be blocking this specific file type? or are there any preferences in your control panel that might be blocking this?
Do you have any stored preferences for PDF files in Firefox?

Try using another computer. I had the same problem, repeated the given solution many times and each time it failed. Then I connected ipad to another computer and it worked immediately. Then I used the first computer to restore a backup.

I have just started using iCloud as I have always backed up everything on my iPhone to iTunes on my computer. So now I have everything backed up to my iCloud account as well. Then this week something happened to my phone and it starts to act weird or not work as well and I want to restore my phone to last week's back up. But let's say I have new things (texts, calendar, contacts, notes) added to my iPhone this week. If I just simply restore it to last week's backup, I'll obviously lose everything I did this week. However if today I save everything (my texts, contacts, calendar, and notes) on my iCloud, then restore to last week's backup, can I get everything I saved today on iCloud back? iCloud should overwrite your phone with the data stored in your account, preserving your newer data. However, to be sure I would go to Settings>iCloud and turn data syncing to Off before restoring the backup. Then, after restoring the backup, turn the data syncing back to on, and when prompted about Merging with iCloud, choose Don't Merge. This will ensure that the data in your iCloud account overwrites the data on your phone (which is your goal).
Also, you don't sync text messages with iCloud so you will end up losing your more recent messages when they are overwritten by the backup.

Having put my home-page under "new windows open with home-page" solves the "blank title page problem".

My laptop (win7 2ghz, 1gig) has 100% cpu usage with itunes installed (even when not running itunes) since the upgrade. i had to uninstall. tried installing but still the same problem. my daughter wants the new ipad, but this is a serious problem.

Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

I am not having that issue. Try a hard reset on the phone. Hold down the power button and the home button at the ame time until you see the apple logo
