Upgraded my ipad2 to os7 now get NO Sim message?
I keep having the No Sim message and connot use cellular data. Have been to the apple store several times, Got a new sim card worked for several days now still doesn't work. Anythin can I do to fix this? Not happy I have reset the ipad but cellular data does not work.
I called Apple Support and after going thru the trouble shooting steps they asked me to send it to their support center. I sent the devise with a friend to a nearby genius bar, and after confirming the case # and fault he was handed a new one and took the old. So of course I am very exited that I have my unit replaced, but I am not confident what caused the problem in the first place and would this reoccur? Was it the IOS5 update, did someone drop the unit in the few seconds it's out of my sight? Was it the smart cover magnet affecting some chip responsible for detecting the Sim? I don't know. I will keep monitoring this and other forums until I get a good answer. Until then, I will extra careful from I don't know what!!!!

after upgrading to mountain lion i keep getting an error message saying my startup disc is full. it shouldnt be full because there is barely anything on there and i was running windows with bootcamp prior to this with no issues. my computer now freezes and programs close randomly. The usual command for opening windows with bootcamp doesnt work. once in restarted my computer after it froze and it rebooted in windows automatically. i really just want to know if there is a way to take the upgrade off my laptop because it is very annoying.

Essentially, the bare issue is that you have a 500GB hard drive with only 10GB free. That is not sufficient to run the system properly. The two options you have are to move/remove files to another location, or to install a larger hard drive (eg 2TB). Drive space has nothing to do with SMC firmware, and usually large media files are to blame.
My first recommendation is this: download and run the free OmniDiskSweeper. This will identify the exact size of all your folders - you can drill down into the subfolders and figure out where your largest culprits are. For example, you might find that your Pictures folder contains both an iPhoto Library and copies that you've brought in from a camera but are outside the iPhoto Library structure. Or perhaps you have a lot of purchased video content in iTunes.
If you find files that you KNOW you do not need, you can delete them. Don't delete them just because you have a backup, since if the backup fails, you will lose all your copies.
Don't worry about "cleaners" for now - they don't save much space and can actually cause problems. Deal with the large file situation first and see how you get on.
Let us know what you find out, and if you manage to get your space back.

i have a similiar problem:
i upgraded my mac from 10.6.8 to 10.7.something recently, but i did NOT update itunes, still running version 10.4.1. now i wanted to open itunes but it tells me, that my iTunes Library.itl was created by a newer version of iTunes - which i never used!
its annoying since i dont want to be forced to download a 720MB pckage of itunes every month - even more so, if the system start "lying" to me.
or is it another problem? anyone got the same? any solution? maybe an erratic prompt?

After re-installing Win 7 64 on my computer, and attempting to install my copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements, I now get the following message: "This version of Photoshop Elements requires MS Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher to be installed". Does anyone have an idea of what the problem is? It has always worked in the past.
I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). I recently tried to update iTunes to 11.1, and am now getting an error message "This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times with no success. I am running Windows XP Svc Pack 3. Help please.
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I have recently switched from MobileMe to iCloud and I now getting an error message in iCal :
"The server is currently unable to handle the connection due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. If this continues you should contact the server administrator.
You may try to connect to the server again or take the account offline."
Since I am working from home and I am not on a server other than iCloud I don't understand why I am getting this message. (for 3 days). How do I fix it?TomCT60,
Is your MacBook using Mac OS X 10.6.8 as indicated in your post? If so you will not be able to fully integrate with iCloud.
iCloud and Snow Leopard, by Roger Wilmut describes what iCloud options are available for Snow Leopard.
If you are using Lion, go to iCal>Preferences...>Accounts, and delete/re-add your iCloud CalDAV server. -
I am losing my ability to play and listen to the music I paid for on iTunes. I have to constantly sign in, I am now getting an error message of -9808. I can not even play movies any more. I am terrified to add iTunes to another computer. HELLLLLPPPPP!!!!!!
Netflix adapts to the connection. iTunes content is fixed, and will need to load a portion before playback begins.
It is best to troubleshoot the network to truly rule things out.
What is your current connection, via speedtest.net
Make sure DNS is set to automatic (settings - general - network)
If on wifi try Ethernet
Make sure router is up to date, reboot along with ATV
There may also be ISP throttling -
I am using Lightroom 5.7, 64 bit with Windows 7 Professional. For no apparent reason, I now get an error message when I export a photo, say a raw image to a JPG. However, the exported image seems to be OK. But now I notice that my LR directory of folders in Library view does not show images correctly: If there is a folder with sub-folder(s), the folder will indicate 0 images, but the sub-folders show the proper number of images. What happened and is there a fix? I tried uninstalling Lightroom and re-installing, but problem persists.

Just in case the component being referenced is not part of iTunes but is rather part of one of the other related programs, it might be worth trying a complete uninstall/reinstall of iTunes and related componentry, as per the following troubleshooting document:

I loaded the new iTunes (11.0.0.163) on my computer and also just purchased a new iPhone 5. Prior to loading the NEW iTunes, I was able to sync with my new iPhone 5. After I loaded the new iTunes, I now get an error message: 0xE8000084. What's up?
