Upgraded my macbook to lion now pages is gone

I upgraded my MacBook pro to lion and the word program pages is gone.

Are you 100% sure it was still there when you did the upgrade?
Use the spotlight to search for either the app. Did you perhaps have it installed only for a different account to use?

  • Upgraded MAc pro to Lion now I no longer can open window office. any ideas?

upgraded Mac Pro to Lion, now no longer can use windows office. any ideas?

You need MS Office 2011 if you've installed Lion.  Previous versions of Office don't work with Lion.

  • Do I have to pay to upgrade my Macbook to Lion After paying to Upgrade my Mac?

Do I have to pay to upgrade my Macbook to Lion After paying to Upgrade my Mac?  Or does Apple allow you to pay once to upgrade both?

No, you buy it once and you can install it on both your macs.  Just sign in the App store on the second Mac with the same AppleID and you go to the Purchased tab.  You can install it from there.
If you make a copy of the installer the first time you download it then you can use that without having to download 4Gigs again.  The last step of the install process deletes this download so copy before installing.

  • Will it mess up my 2010 MBP to upgrade to OS X Lion now or should I wait for 10.7.2?

    Hey Everyone
I have a 2010 Mac Book Pro and I am wanting to upgrade tothe OS X Lion but I am hearing (and reading online) that several other MBPowners are having massive issues, so I am wondering now that a month has passed since Lion came out is it safe to upgrade yet, or will it mess up my computer like it has to several other users? Also I was wondering is this a problem all MBP owners are having or is it just a small group? Thanks

Several? Please read through this forum, and the Lion forums.
so I am wondering now that a month has passed since Lion came out is it safe to upgrade yet, or will it mess up my computer like it has to several other users?
There is absolutely no way to discern that without installing Lion. If/when I install Lion, it will be at least 7.2. Make sure you have two current, tested SL backups before attempting.
Also I was wondering is this a problem all MBP owners are having or is it just a small group?
It's not all, and it's far more than a small group.

  • Upgrading my Macbook to Lion

I have a 13" Macbook, bought in late 2006 which is still running Tiger.
I have been looking into options for upgrading the OS for a while now. I have Snow Leopard running on another Mac, so have the disc, but found that I could not upgrade from Tiger > SL without first installing Leopard. Now that the release of Lion is imminent, I am wondering what is the best way to upgrade?
Surely I don't need to upgrade from Tiger > Leopard, then from Leopard > Snow Leopard just so that I can install Lion from the Mac App Store?
    Any help much appreciated!

You found this out where? The source of your info is wrong. It is not required to install Leopard over Tiger before installing Snow Leopard. You can install Snow Leopard over Tiger on an Intel Mac that meets the minimum system requirements otherwise.
What you can do is use the Snow Leopard install package that shipped with a new Mac purchase to install Snow Leopard on another Mac. The OS X install package that ships with a new Mac purchase is model specific besides being against the license agreement to be used to install OS X on another Mac.
You need a retail install package.

  • Is it safe to upgrade to ios 5 / Lion now?

Im still using snow leopard and scared to upgrade.    How can i make it so i can go back if absolutely nessessary?  Is it safe to go over to the other side yet? it ***** a lot of my apps like facetime wont upgrade now without lion.

Get a bootable, external HD (preferably FireWire, since it's 40-50% faster than USB 2 and designed for data transfers), make a bootable backup/clone before updating/upgrading, using something like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!, and ensure that it's bootable and works like the original. That allows you to revert to the previous good state without having to reinstall or reset anything. See these for details:
    http://www.macmaps.com/upgradefaq.html
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html
    http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/installswupdates.html

If you only have a Time Machine backup, ensure that you can reliably restore it to another disk/volume/partition before updating/upgrading.

  • Ever since I upgraded my MacBook to Lion the system reports I can't do this or that because I'm not connected to the Internet.

At first it was the CS4 Adobe suite. I could't launch any application. The computer gave me this "you are not connected" message al the time and said some Java thing was required in order to operate, but was unable to download.
Then Carolyn Samit showed me where to find that Java plugin online and I installed it successfully. I can run any Adobe application again.
This morning I tried to download a new voice in Spanish for my Speech responses and "you are not connected" showed up again, suggesting me to get a diagnose from the Network preferences control panel. When I run the Assistant / Diagnose / Wi fi check up and it asks me to reset the connection from scratch it simply says the computer is not able to establish a connection, even when I already was connected in the first place.
I quit the System Preferences and get online again as simply as clicking the antenna icon in the top Menu and selecting my network signal. Of course I can connect! —And I don't even need to retype the Wep password.
Why do I keep getting this message? Why can't I connect using the Network control panel?
Hope someone can help me, please!

Snow Leopard breaks quite a few drivers - my Canon exhibited the same problem.
I eventually found updated drivers on the Canon website. You can try that with the HP, but if the all-in-one is more than a year or so old, don't hold your breath.
You can also try Software Update to see if it will offer new drivers, or failing that go to the Support Downloads site and search for HP updates.
In fact there's a new one for HP at the top of the list just now.
You may not necessarily want the latest one, though - check the specs to see if your model is covered; if not, search for the previous update etc.

  • Just installed sketchup and now "pages" is gone

Just installed "sketchup" and now "macbook pages" is gone

    Erik,
I doubt that installing Sketchup and losing track of Pages are related. Use Finder to search for Pages.app. It should be found in Macintosh HD, Applications, iWork '09.
You can also use Spotlight to look for Pages.
If you find Pages, launch it. When the Pages icon appears in your Dock, Click and hold, then choose Keep in Dock.

  • I just upgrated to 14 and now pages aren't fully loading, I have to do a hard refresh and that doesn't always work.

I just upgraded to version 14 and now pages aren't fully loading. I have to do a hard refresh in order to get them to load but sometimes that's not an option. For instance when I want to upload a picture to tinypic.com a pop up comes up where you enter a security code. the code and the entry box never load and I can't refresh it.

I noticed in the box that comes up that the author named a portion of that page with "ad" in the name:
    <br>&lt;div id="adcopy-outer">
This can sometimes trigger an ad blocker. If you're using one, can you make an exception for tinypic.com and see whether that helps?
More generally, try clearing your Firefox cache:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
