Upgraded - now cant view my ipod song list

Hi, since upgrading my itunes to itunes 7 I've not been able to successfully view my ipod. All songs saved in the pc and the itunes store appear to be ok but when I connect my ipod (mini) I can't locate my songlist on the pc anywhere. Can anyone advise me please??

Click on the chevron > to the left of the iPod icon in the Source list. This will display the various icons for the iPod itself, Music, Movies, TV Shows and Playlists. Click on Music and you'll see the traditional song view with the information at the bottom.

Similar problem; but how can I resume opening pdf’s in IE while maintaining the protection benefits of Protected Mode by keeping it enabled (I have not tried disabling it)?
Need help resolving newly discovered problem wherein all of sudden I can no longer open and display pdf files within IE and but end up with a blank screen [shows blue loading gauge 55.8kb/55.8kb for example doc] unless I down load the pdf file and then open it using Reader XI ver 11.0.2 [Plug-Ins 11.0.01.36] which opens the files just fine. Eventual Error Msg = “There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try attain (103:103)”. Reader Protected Mode: Reader cannot open in Protected Mode due to an incompatibility with you sys config. Etc. “Do not open with Protected Mode disabled” is selected.
IE = ver 8.0.6001.18702) on Windows XP = ver 5.1 SP3.

Reader XI, Check for Updates shows: No Updates Available

Viewing music titles / song lists from iPod on iTunes

I have updated iTunes on my computer (Windows XP) several times over the last few years & now when I connect my iPod to the computer, I don't seem able to view my music titles / song lists. Anybody know why or how I can do this?
Now when I click on the iPod icon... I get a 'Summary' page, a 'Music' page with an option to 'sync' etc... but cannot see my music content on the iPod...
How (e.g.) can I delete or change content on my iPod??
Any help/instructions/solution gratefully received!

Have you clicked on the small disclosure triangle to the left of the iPod listing (under "devices" in iTunes)?

Problem after OS4 Update- iPod song list deleted.

After I upgraded to the new OS, I noticed in my iPod, at the bottom it lists these categories: "Playlists", "Artists", "Songs", "Videos", "More"
When I go to songs, all my songs are no longer listed in this category, why? All the music I had on it is still there and I can still choose under "Artists". All music is present, but somehow they all disappeared from the "Song" category.
Has anyone experienced this problem after the new update and how to solve it? Thanks.

I fixed my song list now!
What I did was:
Plugged Iphone to computer, started itunes and clicked Iphone/music to display all music on it
Selected ALL songs, right clicked, went to info screen.
Under comment, i input a word and checked box so all songs would be updated with this word and then clicked OK
Waited for my song list to be updated on the computer and for it to Automatically sync with my iphone and then all music came right back.
Note: I have the latest Itunes, windows 7, all autosync OFF and manually manage music ON

In iTunes 7.0.1, is there a way to see the songs on my iPod when it is connected? I want to delete some music to make room for other stuff, but I can't figure out how to do it.

Are you seeing a Continue button anywhere? Click the little Agree box then the Continue button. If you aren't seeing all the buttons try increasing your screen resolution to at least 1024x768 so you can see the whole page: iTunes window does not display all options

Discrepancy between iTunes library and synced iPod song list

I am sure there must be a really simple answer to this, but heck if I know.
My iTunes library on my PC has 1614 songs, yet despite my iPod being sync'd, my song list shows only 1588 songs.
So, 25 tracks have not loaded - why is this? Surely there should be exactly the same number of tracks in my song list?
H E L P - its driving me mad.

I have a 24 track difference between my itunes library and my song list in my synced ipod. Really bugging me as I don't know why - have ensured all songs are checked, but still no answer. Where are the missing 24 songs?
Surely someone out there must know the answer - HELP!

Does anyone know of a program (could be a simple .bat file) on Windows that will keep a list of the songs and/or albums and/or artists on your Ipod. My hard drive just went down and I can not remember what I had on it. I know there is a tool out there. If it would print to a simple text file, it would be great. Thanks.

Yes, it is called, a SPREADSHEET!
In iTunes you can select your library, do a COPY then past it into a spread sheet program. All the columns will line up correctly so it is easy to sort, delete rows, or other things you might want to do with it.

Snow leopard upgraded now cant scan w HP 1300

I upgraded to Snow Leopard a few weeks ago and can print fine with my HP 1300. I cant scan anything with any of the scan utilites. There are some old reports of this but the solution is not really clear to me.
I tried updating all my drivers and software but it does not seem to help.
Anyone have ideas?

Disconnect the disk and power it down for a few minutes, then reconnect, see if Disk Utility recognizes it.
If no help, disconnect again, and Restart your Mac, then reconnect the drive.
If it's connected via USB, try FireWire; or vice-versa.
If still no help, try different ports, cables, and combinations of the two (sometimes a plug that works fine in one port won't make good contact in a different one).

Reloaded Windows now cant access my iPod data

I had to reload the Windows Vista and now I can not do anything with my apps on the Touch.
What do I do so I can get my apps back in the working order? I have tried to sync but I get a warning that tells me I will lose anything that is not listed in iTunes, which nothing is listed.

How do I get the older/better/more efficient interface back for my iTunes? I switch between these views all the time and it was one click -- now it is a royal pain in the butt! What happened to the cleaner interface? How do I get it back?

IPod song list gray on iTunes

When I attach my iPod to my computer-iTunes comes up, but I can't do anything with it-all the songs are grayed out, I can't play, I can't sort, etc.
Any ideas?

Grey text when you look at the content and lock symbol at the bottom of the screen simply shows that your iPod is set to syncronise (automatically update) with iTunes. If you want to access your iPod directly, drag songs to it, play it through your iTunes, connect it to a second computer etc. you just need to change the update method to "Manually manage songs and videos" in the iPod Summary tab and click Apply. The text will change from grey to dark and the padlock will disappear: Managing content manually on iPod
One thing to be aware of with manually updating is that the iPod also has to be manually ejected before the "Do Not Disconnect" message will go away. Safely disconnect iPod

Is there a way to export playlists in the order they are in album list view rather than song list view?

I'd like to have my playlists sorted by Album by Artist/Year when exporting, but I can't figure out how to do it.

It should be:
Sort the playlist as Album by Artist\Year
Right-click on playlist name and click Copy to Play Order
Export playlist.

Itunes 10- Song List View is just a black screen!!

I recently updated to itunes 10, initially it was working fine. Today, my computer bugged out while shutting down and I had to hold the power button on it. When it rebooted I scanned for viruses, errors, adware, etc... I have re-downloaded itunes and selected the 'Repair' option, but it did not help. I have made sure I am up-to-date on both itunes and quicktime updates. I have not seen any similar problems such as this while searching the internet, so I am posting here. If I hit the play button it will still play the songs from whatever playlist I am currently in, and the grid view works, but when I want to view the song list (which is the way i always use my itunes) it just turns the window within itunes, the window that has the song list, completely black. This happens for all of my playlists, recently added, full music collection, any playlist that can be viewed using the song list view. Is there anyone who has also experienced this? What can I do? It took me over 10 hours to create this playlist with the large amount of music I have and I would not be happy to have to sit there an go brain dead again creating it.... please help!

Tylerdowner, as a moderator, one would think that, prior to adjusting comments/solutions, especially when not having a Mac, you would do more research (bet you know someone with a Mac, to duplicate problem), or pass responding on to a moderator who does have a Mac (I am amazed that you are even a moderator on Mac problems/situations, if you only have access to a PC). Had the solutions above worked, I would not have needed to figure out another solution (we all know the newest release of anything is the most secure). Finally I am open to any fixes (tested) that you can provide, that improve upon mine. As a moderator, maybe you have pull with the Foxtab and/or Adobe people to get them to work out compatibility, and lastly, maybe add a warning at the Foxtab add-ons page, after verifying the problem yourself, with an associate's/friend's Mac.
