HI i used PSE 7 on my windows 7 PC. Now i have upgraded to windows8.1
I redownlaoded PSE7 from adobe site and when i enter old serial it says inavalid serial. please helip to install it on the new OS

I upgraded to Premiere and Photoshop Elements 12 on 23rd September

I upgraded to Premiere and Photoshop Elements 12 on 23rd September from Premiere elements 4.
Issue 1
Two days later Elements 13 comes out so I am immediately out of date and would need to pay the same amount again if I want to upgrade to 13. That's a bit unkind isn't it?
A warning to wait a couple of days to upgrade would have been a bit nicer customer care. No?
Issue 2
A further problem that's blocking me though - I upgraded by download and now can't install it to my home computer because all the links are to download 13 - where can I get a download of 12 now??

Thanks very much for that link I will use it. An upgrade would be very welcome and would cheer me up a lot.

I've upgraded to Yosemite and Photoshop Elements 6.0 tells me that 'Licensing for this product has stopped'.

It then recommends I uninstall and reinstall, which I did, but the new installation tells me the same thing.
I know this software is six years old but it's seems to be the last version that allows web galleries with custom templates.
The two questions are: Is Elements 6 incompatible with Yosemite? and: Is there a newer version that allows me to create web galleries with custom templates?

Thanks for the link to Roaring Apps, that's very useful.
However, although Roaring Apps states that it's incompatible, I've solved the problem and it does seem to be compatible.
As the Photoshop Elements uninstaller seemed to have left things behind, I uninstalled using the brute force method, i.e. dragging everything that seemed to belong Photoshop Elements to the trash. As I have AppTrap installed, it also suggested I trash many other files it had found.
I then reinstalled from the original disk and it works. The surprising thing is that it didn't ask me for the serial number which was the cause of the problem in the first place.

How do I update the Adobe Inspiration Browser for Mac operating system for Photoshop Elements 10?

I am unable to update the Adobe Inspiration Browser shown as an option on the first dilog box when I opened Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 for Mac for the first time. I get an error message indicating an incorrect configeration to accomplish this task. What am I doing wrong? Please indicate the exact steps do accomplish this task.

Upgrading operating system and syncing music

Im not doing this just yet, but wondered on other peoples experiences and to ensure that this will not be an issue...
I currently run OSX Tiger, but will upgrade to Leopard once I'm confident its had enough time to ensure any possible issues are sorted (read a few to do with firewall/java etc...)
Anyway, if I buy my iPhone tomorrow, sync it with my Mac for music, I understand that I can only sync it with one computer for music. If I upgrade to Leopard will this cause me a problem when I try to sync music again or is there a simple solution?
As far as I can remember with my iPod, when I upgraded from the MacBook to the MacBook Pro I didn't need to do anything, however I manually drag music to my iPod so don't know if this will be different?
I'd rather make sure its possible before hand so I know where I stand.

The iPhone does not support disk mode as your iPod does which is required for the manual drag of music from iTunes to the device.
If you install Leopard via the upgrade or archive and install method selecting preserve user and network settings, there is nothing special you need to do. If you install Leopard via an Erase & Install, you must restore all iTunes data and other data such as from iPhoto and Address Book, etc. from your backup but even then nothing special should be required. Worse case scenario, you re-sync your iPhone with iTunes.
I installed Leopard over Tiger via simple upgrade - checked my boot volume for any directory problems with Disk First Aid repair via Disk Utility when booted from the Leopard install disc and then installed without any problems or issues with my iPhone and iTunes nor with anything else.

Should I Upgrade Operating System and/or RAM?

I just ordered a new MacBook. After I get things transferred from my 12" Powerbook (1Ghz G4, 512 RAM), I plan to give the Powerbook to my husband to learn to use a computer. He's a senior (74 years)and not computer-savy at all. He would like to just cruise the internet, look at eBay, and a little email. I think it would be good to keep his mind active. I'm wondering if I should upgrade from my current OS X 10.3.9 (Panther)for his use, and if so, just to Tiger? Also, how about the RAM - is the 512 RAM sufficient? We have a wireless broadband dsl connection for the internet.

Great idea ... couple of thoughts.
First, your question on do you have enough memory. For Panther, you're probably OK, especially if he will just be doing the tasks you described. If it were me, though, I would upgrade to Tiger, if for no other reason to take advantage of the security updates that have happened over the years. Tiger will work OK on 512MB, and again may be fine for email and web surfing. If more memory is needed, looking at Crucial, a 512MB card is $50 while a 1GB card is $57. You can always check memory usage for what you run today by loading the Activity Monitor (on your hard drive in applications/utlities). Look at the system memory tab at page ins/outs. If outs are 10% to 15% or greater of page ins, you can use more memory.
Make sure you have 10% or more of the hard drive free for systems usage. Before you turn it over to your husband you may want to run a utility like OnyX to clean the hard drive up. It's available at http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs2/english/download.html
Also, as we age our eye sight isn't always hawk-sharp. You might want to consider hooking the Powerbook up to an external monitor, and he could still use the Powerbook keyboard. If you don't have a monitor to hook it up to, LCD monitors aren't too expensive, and go on sale fairly often. Sometimes good prices at Sams or Costco too, which is where I like to buy LCD monitors from. If there are any issues with dead pixels, it's easy to return/replace them at either store.

Read before you download a CS6 product
You need your CS6 serial number to complete the installation.

I want to uninstall my version of adobe elements 11 in order to upgrade my operating system and then re-install. I have the original disk but not the code or registration info - where can I find it or how can I contact someone who can help me?

Do I have to alert adobe if I'm moving my product from one computer to another? or will they recognise my intentions when my product is removed from their database?

Is there a way to export my movie timeline (as in the organisation of my
clips, not just the movie) to a external hard drive. I thought publish

Hello i think I buy te upgrade from the packket premiere elements 11 and photoshop elements 11 to version 12 of this to produkts, when I do that create the upgrade then new icons on your desctop screen or overwright the upgrade the version 11 total, must I remove version 11 before or can I do that after the upgrade to version 12.

I do not believe that you mentioned what computer operating system you are using for your Premiere Elements 11 and 12.
Although Photoshop Elements 12 may be lacking some of your Photoshop Elements 11 features, Premiere Elements 11 and 12 are essentially the same, but 12 does give a few additional features which may or may not be necessary for your present or planned workflows.
Photoshop Elements/Premiere Elements 11 and 12 perform the same and well for me on Windows 7 64 bit. I cannot say the same specifically for Premiere Elements 12 on Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit. Premiere Elements 11 is performing fine on this same Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit where Premiere Elements 12 is not.
Just beware of any intergration perks that you might lose if you decide to pick and choose the best by mixing the combos, that is Photoshop Elements 11 with Premiere Elements 12 or Photoshop Elements 12 with Premiere Elements 11.
Bottom line: I would ask you to consider leaving the both versions installed until you decide what programming is in the best interest of your workflows. Key...use one Premiere Elements program at a time.

You will need to upgrade to Snow Leopard first - if your Mac can run it:

Put simply, the minimum system requirements for iTunes have changed. You need a Mac running at least OS X 10.6.8.
It's best you look online to see if your model of Mac can be upgraded to at least 10.6.8 "Snow Leopard". It should still be possible to order a copy of Snow Leopard if so.

You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.
