Upgraded OS & Lost Memo Pad, Docs to Go, Games, etc.

I had to reload all my software because of a crash caused by Blackberry Protect, and the only way to do it was to upgrade to Desktop Manager 6.0 and Device OS 5.0, but now I've lost a ton of apps, including some important ones like Memo Pad, Tasks, Documents to Go, etc. I've seen solutions for this that say to use the Application Loader in Desktop Manager but this doesn't work for me because these aren't listed in Desktop Manager. They also aren't hidden. Incredibly, they just don't seem to be included in OS 5.0. How can this be? It's bad enough that Blackberry Protect crashed my entire smartphone, but is the solution really to force me to upgrade to a newer OS with fewer apps?

Follow the below steps to add, update, or delete applications on your BlackBerry device -
1. Connect your device to your computer.
2. In the BlackBerry Desktop Software, click Applications.
3. When your device applications are listed, do any of the following:
• To update an application, click the + icon beside the name of the application. (applicable for you)
• To delete an application, click the x icon beside the name of the application.
• To install an application file (.alx) that is saved on your computer, click Import files to browse to it.
4. In the Application Summary pane, review your changes.
5. Click Apply.

1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources.
That should do it.

4.5 erased my contacts, memo pad, and task manager on 8320!

I dont think that was supposed to happen, but the new upgrade erased all of the information in my address book. It erased the memo pad and task manager apps completely. I have yet to find a way to get it back. I doubt there is though. I would really like to get all that stuff back with out having to roll back the firmware because the one good thing about 4.5 is the video camera but whatever has to be done has to be done.

First of all, the loader process makes an automatic backup of all that data in the form of an .ipd file. Search your computer for this file. It's usually placed in My Documents but could be anywhere. If you deselected the automatic backup before loading the new OS then you could be out of luck.
Use the Backup/Restore feature to restore that .ipd file to the device.
Downgrading the OS back to the original will not bring your data back anyway so no need to do that.

Memo pad

I downloaded the v5.0.0.591 version on my Tour today. I must say I was concerned after reading about so many people having trouble with it. The update wiped out all of my apps, including some apps that came with the phone. The one that I care the most about is the memopad. I use it quite frequently and now I've lost all the information that was there. Not only that but I don't have a memo application at all anymore. Is there anything I can do about this? Where can I download the memo application that originally came with the device? My carrier is Verizon.
I would greatly appreciate any help with this issue. Thanks in advance.

Plug the device back in and run Application Loader found in Desktop manager and go through the process until you see the list of applications on the device. Check the box next to Memo Pad and any other applications that you want on the device. Finish the process.
If that doesn't work then follow the instructions here to install the OS to your PC and just use the basic Loader.exe to reinstall MemoPad to the device:

Memo Pad Disappeared

Had quite a few issues after upgrading my BB to OS4.5, just when I thought everything is working correctly, the Memo Pad icon disappeared. It is neither hidden nor in any folder, I checked everywhere. The funny thing is, it is still syncing with Lotus Notes, so it's hidden somewhere. Wiped BB clean twice, and it will be back; however, once I installed the third party applications, WorldMate, Google Map, and CallingCardDialer, the Memo Pad disappeared again. I could do a Search and find the memo, but just can't find the icon. Help, anyone?

If the memo pad is there and working properly until you load these 3rd party apps then it's obviously a 3rd party app that is causing this problem.
If you are missing the Email Setup icon then you are missing some service books. Go to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table. Press the menu key and select "Register Now."

Transfer Memo Pad files from 9900 handset to Q10

Is it possible to transfer Memo Pad files from a 9900 handset to a Q10 handset, either via doing a backup/restore using BB Desktop Software, or by other means? I have a lot of info stored in Memo Pad files on my 9900 that I'd like to transfer to the Q10, post-upgrade.

I did this:
Make sure Evernote is activated on your Q10. Create an account if not, and activate at your Settings > Accounts > Evernote.
Install Evernote to your PC.
If you sync your Memos from your 9900 to your desktop Outlook, then copy all your Memos from Outlook and paste them into your Evernote account on your PC browser.
Now, all your memos will sync thought Evernote in to your Remember app > Evernote folder (or addtionally, install the Evernote application to your Q10 from AppWorld.
If you don't use Outlook on your PC, it gets a bit more complicated, let me know.

Organiser sync with Yahoo calendar/task list/memo pad/ addressbook

Hi,
I have recently bought a Blackberry Curve 8520.
My problem is connecting to yahoo calendar/task list/memo pad/ addressbook
Each time I try to syncronise I get back the message "connection to the yahoo server was lost"
I am using the lastest version of the yahoo and blackberry software. I am sure I am not the only user trying to sync PCand Blackberry informantion!!
Help to resolve this issue would be much appreciated.

Someone suggested that I switch to syncing to/with Google calendar ... but I don't know how to do that since it's not in the list of options that come up when I say I want to configure sync settings. Do you know how to do that?
I received a cryptic email response from Yahoo saying they no longer support syncing with Yahoo calendar ... but implying that they may still be working on it and the option may start working again if they get a solution. I responded that I'd like to know if they fix the problem instead of having to try every few days, but got no response to that request.

How do I get User to show Library then I can get to my long lost document?

The auto recovery dat should be in the Microsoft User Data folder in your documents folder, not in the Library. However, I Haven't had to look recently.

Connect your iPad to your Mac. Launch iTunes. Select the iPad under Devices on the left side of the iTunes window in the source list.
Now select the Music tab. Select Sync Music. The entire library or selected playlists etc. Then click the Sync button bottom right side of the iTunes window.
Your iTunes purchases will be available from the iPod icon in the iPad Dock.

I have issued credit memo(va01) to customer ..then create billing doc (vf01) against cerdit memo..here automatic account release is there ..system has post the accounting doc .. agaist this invoce .. system alsways take FI doc type RV has taken
generally RV doc type used for std sale order .. i want to assign FI doc tye DG .. to ..credit memo billing doc ..
could any one help in this issue

Further to your Query, If the Credit Memo raised from SD Module then the document type would be RV. If same is raised from FI the document type would be DG.

Contacts are meant to be synched with the contact manager app on your phone or with a cloud service. If you failed to use your phone as recommended, your contacts are very likely gone.

Adobe AIR not available for Asus Memo Pad ME302C?

Any time I try and install AIR on my Asus tablet, I get the error code -24. Is there any way to force install it or do I have to wait for a future update for AIR?

Please set up the ePrint feature of your printer. You would start by Getting the Printer Claim Code. Once you have the web services information sheet with your claim code, please follow the instructions in Setting Up a Custom Email Address for ePrint.
Please add the printer to your HP ePrint app by the printer’s ePrint email address. The steps on how to do this can be found in the HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ document, under the question “How do I add a printer to my mobile device?” Doing this should stop the error message that you are seeing.
