Upgraded to 10.7.2 and Spacenavigator stopped working

Upgraded to 10.7.2 and Spacenavigator stopped working in Archicad 14. Anybody else having similar problems? It was working ok on 10.7.1 but has completely stopped working now.

For those people who are having this issue.  Open System Preferences and log out of MobileMe and then restart your computer.   After it has restarted, open System Preferences and log back into MobileMe.  Restart your computer again and the problem should be resolved.  I hope this helps.  It worked for me. Good luck!  Cheers, jtw335
P.S. The CSConfigDotMacCert message only displayed when I was logged into my Standard account.  If I logged in using my Administrator account it would not display, I'm assuming because it didn't need the administrators permission.

Hi, I use facetime regularly with my parents who live outside US and it stopped working. Their ipad2 rings, says connecting..and then 'call failed'. Upgrading their iOS5 (or 6) is not a option as my parents do not know to do this. I came across forums where this issue is mentioned on apple support and cnet.
Is there another option apart from upgrading ?

Well, in his defense, his parents bought him the player so I guess we can't blame him. Though the 6 GB versions were available in November so I guess they really did get 'nervous' about Christmas and like to get their shopping done early! Kudo's to you for trying to remain with the Creative line but for what you're looking for it's obviously not the player for you. Creative seems to be fine-tuning their line for the audio crowd. I'm into mp3 players for the audio. Sure, the ability to watch video's and look at pictures on a decent screen is a plus but for me at least, it's all about the music. And with music, 6 GB is more than enough. Heck, 8 GB would have been more than enough for me. I'm a subscriber to Napster-to-go, so I don't feel the need to carry 00 plus GB of stuff on my portable player. I honestly don't understand the desire to watch movies or TV shows on tiny little screens. But you're also talking to a guy who doesn't watch television. What a complete waste of time and brain cells. Probably the **competitor products we can't discuss here** or one of those players would better suit your needs. Companies are definately picking their niche markets carefully and Creative's decision to not offer hard dri've players any more seems to definately be saying bye-bye to that market. I can't say I blame them. Hard dri'ves eventually give up the ghost and are quite delicate for people on the go. Good ridance, I say. Let Apple, Zune and all the others cater to the Z generation's need to be spoonfed their video/TV addictions anywhere and everywhere. I'll pass. It's one thing to be able to enjoy some music on the go and enhance an otherwise dull work day or dri've. But movies/TV shows at work, school, or wherever? Please. Cut the cord! Just my $.02 - YMMV! • Toupad Tapping and Scrolling stopped working after Windows 10 Upgrade

Hi, I upgraded my OC to Windows 10 today, after the upgrade tapping and scrolling stopped working on the synaptics touchpad. the toucpad only finctions as a pointer now. for taps/Clicks i always have to use the buttons below the touchpad. It was working fine before the upgrade, the earlier OS was Windows 7 I have checked for driver updates but i get a message that the drvier is up to date.I have check the device setting and confirmed that tapping and scrolling is enabled.I have also done a device reset. Nothing solved the problem, i also did not find a relevant answer on the forums. Also, the same problem did not happen with my other HP laptop (Notebook PC) which was also upgraded to windows 10 recently. Does anyone have a solution? Regards,Siddharth.

, Hello and thanks for posting on the HP support forums.  What you will need to do is the run the Windows Update Fixer tool.  Here is a link to help you with that.  Make sure you run all updates including optional. Fix Microsoft Windows Update Issues If that fails to work the only other option is to roll your system back to the original supported operating system that came with your notebook. Thanks again for the post and have a great day.

  • After upgrade exchange owa, ecp and outlook stop working

Yesterday I installed the updates that Microsoft had released. Unfortunate as it looks like OWA, ECP and Outlook stopped working after this installation. See picture for the updates were made.
What you are greeted by when besker OWA and ECP is a blank page. Is anyone had the same problem and knows how to fix this?
Or is there a way to back these updates?
    Jesper B

    Hi Jesper,
Is there any update? Have the issue been resolved?
The updates are all for Windows server 2012 R2. What's your Exchange server version? Additionally, please check the following in IIS Manager:
    a. In IIS manager > Default Web Site, make sure Anonymous Authentication is Enabled in Authentication.
    b. Double-click SSL Settings, confirm that "Require SSL" is checked on the root of the default website.
    c. Restart IIS service by running iisreset /noforce from a command prompt window.
If possible, please collect more event logs in Event Viewer for further analysis.

  • Mid 2011 Macbook Air - Yosemite keyboard and trackpad stopped working, the only button that worked was the power button, only one USB port works.

    I have a Mid 2011 Macbook Air.
    Upgraded to Yosemite last week.
Three days ago I was using my Macbook Air for the first time since upgrading to Yosemite. I had been using my Macbook Air for approximately 30 minutes, I was using safari and the keyboard and trackpad stopped working (would not respond). The only button that worked was the power button.
I rebooted and they were still not working. I plugged in a USB mouse and external USB keyboard, only one USB port would work (the Left USB port if looking at the screen) so I had to swap between keyboard and mouse.
After logging in there is a bluetooth icon at the top of the screen with a sawtooth line through it. Bluetooth is unavailable and the bluetooth icon is missing from the system preferences menu.
If I run a hardware test by holding D (on USB keyboard) at startup it says that no problems are found and at the conclusion of the test the keyboard and trackpad start working again. When I log on the bluetooth is working again.
I shut down the Macbook Air and when I started it again the keyboard and trackpad and right side USB ports were all not working again. I logged in using the USB keyboard and mouse and the bluetooth not available sawtooth icon had returned.
I ran the hardware test again and at the conclusion of the test the trackpad and keyboard started working again.
I have tried deleting com.apple.Bluetooth.plist and com.apple.Bluetooth.plist.lockfile from /Library/Preferences/ and tried resetting SMC and Power Functions but this did not fix the issue. The only thing that seems to work is running a hardware test - obviously I don't want to do this every time I use the computer.
I do not believe any hardware is faulty/damaged - I think it has something to do with bluetooth/Yosemite.
I do not have the Macbook with me at the moment, if you have suggestions that I can try or additional checks/info you require please let me know and I can get back to you.
    Thanks,
    John

    Hi!
I have exactly the same problem, and I can't find any solution.
I can't even track down the root of the problem: the Bluetooth/Wifi module? The trackpad? The keyboard/top case? The logicboard?
I've tried all the usual: SMC/PRAM reset, clean install, kext cache clearing.
    Any suggestion is greatly appreciated!

Since I upgrade to Lion OS my optical drive stop working can't read or write at all I did what I could to fix it but still not working , any help please

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/baddns.php
    http://www.adwaremedic.com/kb/hackedrouter.php
If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

  • [solved] Touchpad scrolling and tapping stops working after Xorg 1.9

    Hi all,
My laptop is an Acer Extensa 5630EZ and it has been running for over a year with Arch without problems. However, since the xorg 1.9 upgrade the touchpad edge scrolling just randomly stops working. Everything else continues working fine. I have searched the forums and Googled but haven't found anything that fixes it. Logging out and back into KDE gets the scrolling working again (X restart I guess). I'm pretty much stumped for ideas. Please help!
    [edit]
    - I edited the title for a more accurate description
    - I noticed that tapping also stops working
    - Note that it initially works but then randomly stops... as opposed to others' where it does not work at all.

I know about Google's Linux search but I hardly use it... I just add Linux to my search terms. Thanks for the reminder though.
My laptop is an Acer Extensa 5630EZ with an ALPS 'GlidePoint' touchpad.
Searching for problems that seem related to mine does not bring up much. Xorg 1.9 being new is probably the reason. I have gone through the updated installation guide and tried to get everything in order. Some pages recommend HAL, Xorg does not. But without HAL, I have no suspend/hibernate option in KDE and VMWare will not work. The problem appears even if I run DBus only without HAL. So I've decided to to just run HAL.
I have removed all the extra stuff I don't need at startup. Most notable is syndaemon in bashrc (totally forgot I had that). I have to wait for it to stop working since it is unpredictable. Though, I have noticed that it seems to stop working when I use keyboard shortcuts/combinations.
Here is my entire Xorg log after it stopped working:

[edit] I haven't had any problems the since I disabled all the extra stuff. I don't feel like finding the exact cause since I think it was specific to my own setup... though I suspect syndaemon. I'll go ahead and mark this as solved... again. Thanks for the help.

  • Windows 8.1 Onboard Keyboard and Touchpad Stopped Working.

After upgrading to Win 8.1 my keyboard and touchpad stopped working suddenly.  They both worked fine for the entire Windows 8.0 release.  When I upgraded to 8.1, they both worked for about 3 months.  Then what started happening is the computer
would freeze during the startup process.
Now they both don't don't work.  But a USB powered mouse works.  So with a USB powered mouse and the on screen keyboard I have been troubleshooting.  I have removed the drivers from the device manager, reinstalled the drivers, searched for
    driver updates etc.  Nothing works.
Can someone please point me in the right direction.  PC is kind of useless at the moment.

    Hi,
Kindly check this application that can show incompatible/unwanted/untrusted/ applications then remove these with different kinds of PC cleaner/Application removal tools.

After Downloaded, Run the Application and Save Report, Upload the Report and Press Submit Button and Click Read the report as an Expert.
If you found anything in these 2 Auto analyses
    then find the solution.

  • Bookmark bar and menu stop working after awhile on Firefox 12

I have upgraded to Firefox 12. Everything works fine when I start up Firefox, but after some amount of use (and I can't always reproduce this) eventually when I click on bookmarks in my Bookmark Bar or from the Bookmark menu, nothing happens. Firefox doesn't load the bookmark. If I open the "Show All Bookmarks" window and click on bookmarks there, they load fine and then the menu and bookmark bar suddenly start working again. If I close the "Show All Bookmarks" window the Bookmark Bar and menu stop working again.

    Hi ischou,
I haven't heard of this particular issue, but you might want to try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. Let is sit for a while as you described above and if you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.
You could also try [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles?s=create+a+new+profile&r=2&e=es&as=s#w_creating-a-profile Creating a new profile].
    Hopefully this helps!

  • Apple wireless mouse and keyboard stop working ... now says OS X version and bluetooth incompatible

For no apparent reason my apple wireless mouse and keyboard stopped working. I was not upgrading or installing anything, the batteries are good, nothing was changed as far as I know. Now bluetooth discovers the paired devices, connects for about 30 seconds, the disconnects ... or stays connected but doesn't work.
What's happenned ... I'm rushing to finish a big job ... any ideas? I've tried re-pairing but doesn't work ... says that OSX version may be incompatible with device bluetooth ... I'm using Lion so maybe there is another lion problem?

    Hello:
Barry: What do you mean with "making devices favorites"?
    This is the method:
Go to system preferences>bluetooth.  Highlight an item in the sidebar.  If detailed information does not appear, click on the little gear and select show more info.  Then click on the gear again and select favorite.
And how could an hardware-related problem be (temporarily) solved rebooting the OS?
Intermittent problems are, IMHO, most often caused by hardware.  Restarting will occasionally "fix" problems - why, I do not know.

  • Exchange SP2 makes OWA and Activesync stop working

    Software:
    Windows 2003 Server
    Exchange 2003 SP2
    Activesync
    Symantec antivirus
I have just updated to servicepack 2 on exchange 2003. The reason why I did so, was that the SP2 had many fixes to bugs that has been annoying and needed to be installed on our system. The upgrade went perfectly, until an hour after the upgrade. Then Activesync and OWA stopped working. I got the error that the Hotfix 259867 should fix, after abot 1 hour in the telephone I got the hotfix sent over. This removed the error message. But there came a new error message (or several if you want).
The OWA works for a half hour, when restarting the services, then it crashes again, same stuff with activesync.
I really need some help here, anyone got a clue?
Following error message stille appears in the eventvwr.

    I THINK I found a fix!
First to answer the question about log entries... None, that's one of the things thats made this so difficult to trace down.
Now onto what fixed the issue for me. The client has approx 1250 users on a single quad proc box. The majority of the users (approx 1,000) access the server via OWA the other 250 access it using RPC over HTTPs. I wanted to see if RPC over HTTPs was causing the issue so I disabled access to the virtual directory. After doing that OWA was accessible for more than 30 minutes.
In my quest to find the fix for this problem I saw a post that someone renamed the rpcpoxy.dll file and it got recreated so i followed suite. After stopping the site, renaming the file, enabling access to the rpc virtual and starting the stie ALL services have been available for more than 1 hour without issue.
After looking into the rpcproxy.dll file I see that it was updated with SP2 server update.
If things change I will post back but for now things are looking good considering it had gotten so bad over the past few days that OWA was accessible for less than 2 minutes after an iisreset.

    Hi Team,

    Hi,
So switch a LAN card fix this issue...seems a compatibility issue or maybe some packs or programs you installed recently cause this issue.
Have you manually check the network adapter driver from the PC's manufacture website? sometimes, it will be a time delay before Microsoft push out the driver update.
Check if issue exists in safemode with network, this mode will launch Windows with limited sets of files and drivers.
if you have a restore point, restore the pc to a previous point at which the pc is functioning fine.

  • Safari and firefox stop working after a few minutes of browsing, regardless of what site I'm on. I have to restart my computer to get internet access again but it only works for a few more minutes, then I have to restart again. Please help!

Safari and firefox stop working after a few minutes of browsing, regardless of what site I'm on. I have to restart my computer to get internet access again but it only works for a few more minutes, then I have to restart again. I don't get a spinning ball, it just stops working at whatever page it's on. I can close the program just fine but when I re-open it, either safari or firefox, it freezes trying to load the hompage. This started a few days ago after trying to stream a movie on my computer. I'm on a Mac Air OS X Version 10.6.8 and have downloaded all updates. When I go into finder, it says I have over 80 gigs available. Is there some other memory cache that I need to check? Thanks so much for your help.

It's not a router problem as I explained in my post. If it was a router problem then I wouldn't have the problem everywhere I go. It is an issue with the software.
Then I guess the millions of people running 10.5.7 with no issues are just hallucinating that their machines are working fine?
I'm not trying to belittle your issues; you're certainly having them and I know first hand how annoying an intermittent AirPort issue can be. (In fact, mine was due to an AirPort driver bug that no one else seemed to suffer from.)
The single best diagnostic you could do is take your system running 10.5.7 to an Apple Store, and try using their in-store network.
If your machine performs flawlessly, it may be a router issue.
If your machine has connectivity issues there, it may be a hardware problem with your machine.
There have been numerous people in multiple threads over the years who swore that an update was buggy because things used to work, but returned later to sheepishly admit that they took their machine in, a problem was found and fixed, and now their Mac works flawlessly with the newer software.
But simply reinstalling 10.5.5 in no way means the explanation of how firmware bugs may be at play here is incorrect.
In the context of that explanation, all you've done is possibly reinstall software that asks to add "2 + 3."
