Upgraded to 7.6 now tv shows have no sound

I upgraded in order to rent movies. After downloading movies there was no sound on my laptop and it wouldn't let me move it to my Ipod video. Now all purchased tv shows and movies don't have sound. Podcasts and music has sound and Quicktime works in browser but not in itunes. Tried reinstalling quicktime and itunes but nothing seems to help. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone know where I can get the previous version of itunes?

The iPhoto library should be in your user folder/Pictures unless it was moved.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I have a new LaCie external drive that I keep all my important files on. One of the reasons I bought this drive was because it's extremely quiet and shuts itself down after a few minutes not in use. I just upgraded to 10.4 last night and when I came in this morning, the hard drive now sounds like a kitchen disposal with a spoon stuck in it -- an obnoxious loud clanking comes from it at all times whether it computer is accessing it or not. Anyone know how to fix this or even hear of ths issue? It's extremely annoying.

Actually, it seems to have stopped now completely and is working fine. Weird. I was exagerrating about bit with the blender remark, but it's a new drive so I can't imagine it would fail that suddenly, especially with the change of OS.

well basically i have inspire t7900 7. speakers. Which use to work really well on my dell dimension E52, however since i upgraded it said no device .
i tried installing the drivers again such as the sigma tel ones given by dell even the XP ones which i read on previous forum posts that might help. IT did but it didnt fix the problem now it says at least now.

What happened to my computer's ability to play sound when I updated to OSX 10.8.2? I had a hard time updating from 10.8 to 10.8.2 and now that I have my sound is gone and not adjustable.

I have a 13" Macbook Pro running OSX 10.8 and when I tried to update to 10.8.1 through the Mac App store it didn't acknowledge that there was an update available so I went to the apple website and manually downloaded the update. When I attempted to update it that way the installer said that my computer did not meet the requirements of the update. That was strange as it was already running 10.8.
So I called apple care and then gave me instructions to restart my computer holding option+command+R and redownload Mountain Lion and after it finally finished, it installed but now I just noticed that my sound icon on the menu bar is greyed out and in system preferences I cannot adjust the sound output. I don't understand what happened, all I wanted to do was update my OS. If anyone has any solutions I'm open. I'm also going to set up a genius bar appointment.

You seem to have tried everything, and you say it's syncing fine on your Dad's iMac, so I assume, you have also done a Disk Diagnostic from an earlier post by tt2 and conclude that your iPod Hardisk is good.
You don't have to use it as a heavy paperweight, the problem is only using your Windows 7 machine for syncing.
In your troubleshooting steps, did you try to use another High-Speed USB 2.0 port, USB controller resource are very scarce, so if you use other USB devices, while syncing your iPod, it may just freeze.
Windows have a bad reputation for device conflict, so better don't connect other USB devices, while syncing, better sync it while disconnected from Internet, stop antivirus just before you go to bed.

Most scan apps have a setting whereas, your scan(s) can go directly to your desktop. No need to "hunt" for scanned docs.

How do you know they won't run in Yosemite? You're not trying to fiddle with stuff in your backup from the Finder, are you? If so you are likely to render that backup unusable.
WHen when you restore them from your backup, they should be updateable.

I had a similar occurrence with my just activated iPhone 4.
I had been using the phone for three days when an odd occurrence with voice mail caused me to call tech support. After some discussion they decided to push the activation to my phone (even though I had been using it for three days). When I went to power it back up again I repeatedly got the "no service" notification. I got tech support on a land line and we tried hard reboots and so on. No joy. They told me to take it in to the point of sale and either the SIM card or the phone needed (or both) needed replacing.
I tried one last hard reboot after dinner and the phone came up with service, but I took it in to the point of sale in the morning and they swapped the SIM card out and I went to a Genius Bar appointment to get the phone checked out. It is supposedly OK, but I am still having some problems when syncing it so I will have to visit the Genius Bar again tomorrow about that. At least I have not experienced the "no service" problem in the roughly 24 hours since the SIM card was replaced. (Fingers crossed)

How do I delete these songs? I haven't hooked it up to my computer. iTunes matches has never been turned on and I did turn off the Show all Music option. Some songs have the option to slide from right to left to bring up the delete button but not the ones I want to delete! I want them gone please help! I really don't want/need carni music from my daughters 4th bday party on my phone!! If anyone has a solution that does not involve me plugging into my computer that'd be awesome....

It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.

I'm sorry to hear that your iPhone 4s was lost, and glad that you were able to upgrade.
If your iPhone 4s was backed up to iCloud or using iTunes, you can restore the backed up data to your new phone.

iPhones can be unlocked in the U.S. as well and in a number of countries - by the carrier the iPhone was sold as carrier locked with, which doesn't require an Apple store and has nothing whatsoever to do with hacking an iPhone.
Hacking an iPhone is against the iOS license agreement, which you have violated.
If you think upgrading an iPhone isn't easy, I feel sorry for you. Upgrading an iPhone that hasn't been hacked to be unlocked or for any other reason is easy, but hacking as you have done can and does cause problems - you have severely altered the operating system making the iPhone as insecure as that swiss cheese for security garbage that is Windows and Android just for starters.
Dropping back in the market to Nokia and Microslop?
