Upgraded to an ipod touch but how to reuse old ipod mini on a diff comp?
Hi all
I recently got an ipod touch so no longer need my ipod mini SO my husband thought he would use it BUT he has created itunes on a laptop and when he connects my old ipod which i thought would be okay and he would just get prompted to sync to the new machine, it doesnt do anything, just keep saying DO NOT DISCONNECT. Any ideas round this so he can be able to use it.

You cannot unless you set up find my ipod before it was lost and it is on and it is connect ed to wi-fi and it has not been restored.

ok, it's Friday night, I finished the cheese and about 1/2 a bottle of wine (myself... not ideal for a smurf my size) and I still can't find the answer to my question after searching [to the best of my most current ability] all over the forums (I even searched long before I started drinking wine). I appologize right now for my ignorance and inability to find the answer on my own.... but could someone PLEASE, just tell me the best way to kill my daughter's Ipod Touch 2nd Gen (advertised as Gen 3, ha, ha, on me), and set up her new-(to-us) Ipod Touch Gen 4? I've already backed up her old device to my computer? (it's a PC - sorry, it's free from my husband's office)
Do I set up her new-ish Gen 4 as a "new device" or "restore from back up?" She's young enough (grade school - & why she gets old/cheaper HW) that we both still uses my iTunes acct for her device and mine so that I own & can monitor/manage the music that we both listen to... but this time I'll set up her own iCloud acct. Although the new device (let's call it device B) has been wiped clean from the last user, how do I set it up? New device or restore from bk up? Now that she saved up the $ I paid for it, to pay me, she's driving me crazy about getting it going for her. Her orig/current device, iPod Gen 2ish (we can refer to that as device A) has been backed up to my computer and I'd like to port all of her data (calendar, contacts, pictures/movies, etc) to her new device. Please help this old mom... my girl is driving me crazy... and I feel bad not delivering her goods. Many thanks.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Downloaded new songs to my ipod touch but deleted ALL the old ones. Help!
I just bought new songs, and i clicked sync to ipod, but when it was done syncing only the new songs remained on the ipod and my itunes account and the old ones got deleted. How can I get my old songs back onto my itunes account?

I have a ipod touch but want to buy a ipod shuffel. can i sync my music from the touch to the shuffel and how? but if i cant how do i buy music from itunes on the shuffel?
You can't go directly from the Touch to the Shuffle, but if you can get the music into your itunes library on your computer, you'll be able to sync that music to the Shuffle no problem. A song I bought is on my iPod Touch but doesn't show up when I plug in my iPod to my computer. Why?
I recently bought a song off of iTunes. It shows up on my iPod Touch, but when I plug my iPod into my computer it doesn't show up with the rest of my songs. I tried deleting the song directly from my iPod by swiping the screen (which I normally do) but the delete button doesn't show up. When I try deleting other songs directly from my iPod by swiping the screen, the delete button comes up. Why is this happening? How can I get my song to show up on my computer? How can I delete the song?

I want to upgrade my iOS 4 to 5 on my Ipod Touch but I no longer have the original computer I used to sync with so it keeps saying I will loose all of my apps and stuff on my new computer..... I tried to download a movie on my iPod touch but due to limited space, it did not download. Then, I checked my credit card online, and I found the money was already taken. How will I get it to download on another device with the same account? Also, I was wondering why they took my money even when it did not finish downloading let alone get downloaded?

Your iPhone and iPod can share the same iTunes account. Apps can be freely shared and used by one or both devices. You can't use money in your iTunes account to pay for your phone, but purchased apps can be used by both the iPod and iPhone.

i have a apple tv ipluged it into my big screen i turned on home sharing on my itunes and on my ipod touch but i dont have a remote to my apple tv so i can turn on remote sharing so it will reconize my ipod touch ...??? can anyone help?
I think if there is a way to program a different remote first like a direct tv remote, then you could turn on home sharing and then use either that universal remote or the IOS device. I cannot figure out how to program my direct tv remote for my apple tv though.
