Upgraded to iOS 7.0.6, now iPad 3 running hot

Hi - I just upgraded my iPad 3 to iOS 7.0.6 yesterday, and now it's running really warm to the touch - even being left alone with no applications running. Prior to the update it was always cool to the touch. Is anyone else experiencing the same? is there an easy solution?

This may not be causing your iPad to run warmer than normal, but I noticed with the update to iOS 7.0.6 that it turned on features by default that I had previously turned off, such as Bluetooth. You might want to check to see if features are now turned on that you previously turned off. Some of them, like Bluetooth, will cause an additional drain on the battery and might be causing your iPad to seem warmer.

To troubleshoot this issue where your camera is displaying a black screen, please follow the information outlined below.
You see a closed lens or black screen
If you see a closed lens or black screen when you open the Camera app, try these steps:
Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping (camera swap icon). If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.

I have tried signing out and in, still does not work.
Still just get the previously mentioned "messages".
I wanted to restore, but then you have to turn off "find my ipad/iphone" but this is not allowed, as I cannot connect to the itunes/icloud or app store. The units work with current apps. EG; email etc, and with apps that do not require current updates.

You won't lose anything, but any settings you've adjusted, you'll have to reset.
There are only so many "easy" troubleshooting steps before you're facing a restore. So, it's up to you. I'm trying to give you options that don't delete anything, yet may fix your issue.

If the iPad is running iOS 7 and the kid set up Find My IPad, then you can't restore it without the kid's Apple ID and password. The Activation Lock is a feature that people whined and whined to get, and is causing exactly the sort of problems many of us predicted when people were clamoring for it. If you can't get the kid's Apple ID, you'll have to call Apple Support and ask if they have any sort of workaround. My guess is that they'll have to replace the iPad, but they may have a solution they don't talk about publicly.
This won't help for iPads currently locked for which you can't get the Apple ID, but if before you give out iPads to your students you go into the Restrictions and disallow changes to the accounts, they can't then turn in Find My iPad. Or you can set up Find My iPad yourselves to your own accounts and then lock the Restrictions so they can't set iCloud up to an account to which you don't have the Apple ID.

Have you checked to see if Elentra has a firmware update since the new iOS release?

Try a hard reset and go from there. You might try a manual install (using DFU Mode), as outlined in the link below.

Just upgraded my iPad to iOS 8.1.2 and now, cannot connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, do an iCloud back up, or even open up Facebook for an app. Password is correct. Surely it does not take 12+ hours to update? What gives? Thanks.

Hello razmee209. Thank you for your response. I spent the better part of yesterday working with Apple Support. They tried their best, to include backing up photos to my HP laptop, backing up the iPad to iCloud, then resetting the iPad in total. Same problem. I restored from the cloud to recover my apps, same problem.
AT&T installed a new sim card - same problem. I spent time with AT&T Support yesterday, too. In both cases, (Apple and AT&T) the support techs who worked with me were extremely polite, courteous and helpful to the best of their abilities, but I think the problem lies deeper, and nobody at Apple is admitting they have a problem with iOS 8, that I'm aware of.
I didn't have this issue before I upgraded to iOS 8.1.2.
Everything else with the iPad works fine: WIFI, Personal Hotspot, email, all my apps, etc.
In browsing the web for this issue I see that many other folks have the same problem. I filed a report with Apple this morning, requesting that they contact me, but no word yet. I was going to go to iPhone 6, and had been considering the iPad Air 2, but I see reports of this problem with those units as well.
At this point I don't think I'll be spending any more money with Apple, at least not till this issue is resolved.

Just Upgraded to IOS 5.1.1 now No Wi-Fi

I think IOS 5.1.1 has compatibility problems with it and I am not a happy camper. I have about a year old IPHONE 4 on Verizon and I kept getting that upgrade IOS message. I upgraded the IOS and now when I look at the Wi-Fi setting it says "No Wi-Fi". I have Wi-Fi in my house and everywhere I go yet the Wi-Fi no longer works. The Wi-Fi was working perfectly fine when I was on 5.0.1 and this must be software related. I searched the NET and this sounds like a very common problem that Apple hasn't acknowlege etc. I've tried to RESET all Settings, Restore via ITUNES, you name it and nothing works. Power cycled numerous times. I don't think my iPhone is under warranty anymore but this problem wasn't occurring until I did the IOS 5.1.1 update. Please advise what to do...

If you were on an earlier version then you would have picked updates from the intermediate versions as well.
