Upgraded to ios .7.4 and now i have a unknown pass code

I upgraded to ios 7.4. I have never used a pass code . After the upgrade, it nows says slide to unlock to enter pass code. I never put one on. How do i remove this pass code. I haven't synced with itunes, i just downloaded a few apps. I am using ipad 4

Try one of these methods if you haven't gotten it to work yet.
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device.

I accidentally ran iPhoto Library Upgrader on my Picture folder and now I have to right click on it to "show contents" instead of looking at it in Finder. Help!

Help! I have 2 problems related to iPhoto:

It will not let me replace or delete the folder... I got to my files and backed them up, but trying to avoid reinstalling my OS.

I have iPhoto 9.5.1, I am on OS X Version 10.9.5 on a MacBook Pro with 2.66 GHz
My current "iPhoto Library" file is OK (I can open it with iPhoto), however I cannot access the old one from iPhoto 6 titled Library.iPhoto
I tried right clicking and choosing the application, it did not work.
"exactly how did you "I got to my files and backed them up"" - I showed the contents of my Pictures folder, and it opened up the folders in Finder and I copied them to an external hard drive. In my Picture folder I have several folders of Photos plus the iPhoto Library files (old & current)
I do have old back ups, but they are from April, and I recently imported 5 months of photos from my iPhone, so the iPhoto Library I copied after showing contents is the one I need.

HT4623 Twice I have connected my IPad to my computer and requested the upgrade to IOS 5.01 and twice I have not for some reason received the upgrade. What is going on and what am I doing wrong? I can't get some Olympic apps that require it.

I do not seem to be upgrading to IOS 5.01 correctly - twice I have connected to my computer and received notification that all current upgrades are being added but when I try to download apps that require 5.01 I am told that I do not have a system that is upgraded for this. What is the problem and how do I remedy it?

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

I upgraded to iOS 6.1 and now I can't access to the mail apps.

I upgraded to iOS 6.1 a couple of days ago. Everything was fine until it froze while I was playing a game. Because I couldn't close the apps, I had to force shut down and restart. Now I can no longer access mail apps - when I tap, I see a blank screen for a few second and then it goes back to the homescreen. What can I do???

I was hoping there might be something I could try before taking that route(sigh). Thank you very much for all of your help; will try it tomorrow (I turned off the PC already). Hoping that will resolve the issues!

Upgraded to IOS 8.1, and now getting only "extended" cellular instead of LTE

after I upgraded to IOS 8.1 on my iPhone 5s, I now am only getting "extended" coverage instead of LTE. I have restarted, and still it will not pick up the LTE. No problem before upgrade, 2 -3 bars. What happened?? How do I fix it?? thanks in advance for any help.

1) IMPORTANT- If you are using a Vzw Network Extender in your home or office, since update of iOS 8.1 you will always see extended mode on your phone, no matter what, for now. (4g HD calling not yet available through Vpn tunnel)
2) 8.1 apple update defaulted all the iPhone cellular mode LTE setting to data only. to fix, go to settings> Cellular > Enable LTE > Select Voice & Data. a check mark should appear within 30 seconds and Verizon will reappear on iPhone. If the check mark appears you are now back on Vzw cell network and have High Def calling. If not - complete a "hard reset on the iPhone" Do this by holding down your power button and home button until you see the apple logo on the screen, This actually disconnects the battery on the phone and forces the sim card to reach out to the towers and reinitialize settings.
If this does not work, toggle on and off Airplane Mode
If that does not work; go to settings> General> Reset> Reset Network Settings
Now if after all that your check mark does not appear or you get a pop box on the phone that says "call Vzw to enable LTE calls" then here is the solution:
Call Vzw, have them add the following 3 codes on your account:
A) Advanced Calling 1.0 - Vzw Feature Code 81143
B) High Def Voice - Vzw Feature Code 81158
C) High Def Access - Vzw Feature Code 81186
If you give the Vzw rep the three feature codes it will make your life easier because this is a very new issue!
Now you can hard reset and select LTE Voice and Data and get back on the Vzw Network

Thanks, I think problem is solved by re-adding user name and passwork to each of the SMTP servers listed. I didn't realize they had been deleted with the update. The error was "server does not allow relaying."

It would worthwhile doing a reset on the iPhone. To do this press the 'Home' and 'Sleep' button for a while until the screen goes dark and the Apple logo comes up. Then release the buttons and let the phone do its reboot.
You will not lose any data/apps or anything by doing this but I hope that your hone then works properly.

Last night my daughter downloaded the ios 6.1 upgrade to her ipod touch 4th gen. It automatically went into "Voiceover" mode and to select anything you have to "triple-click" it. WE turned both things off but they don't turn off. Also cannot swipe or scroll due to the triple click issue. HELP!

Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see:

Tap on any give date in the monthly view and you will be taken a list of event, the default position being the date you tapped.
The icon just to the left of the search icon provides a master list view of events.

From the lock screen, to access the camera you touch the camera icon and slide in an upward motion. It no longer takes a tap to get it to open.
