Upgraded to iOS8 and now two iPhones that use the same apple id are receiving the same calls
I have two iPhone 5s, one for work and one for personal use. Since upgrading to iOS8 I am now receiving work calls on my personal phone as well as my work phone , so both phones are ringing at the same time. I'm looking to stop receiving work calls on my personal phone, any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm sorry, but it isn't a problem, it is a feature. While you may find it something you do not like, then you need to change the settings as I described earlier. This is part of how continuity works.
Apple has never supported downgrading of iOS, so don't expect that to happen. If you have done what I said, the need to create and connect to another Wi-Fi network is not necessary. All you have to do is turn it off. Apple did not program anything wrong.

Thank you for the answers so far, but I'll make one correction: I said earlier that the Boston Globe website, boston.com, does not have a mobile site, and I would need to visit their regular website on my iPhone. Actually, I just found out that boston.com has a mobile site, so I'd obviously use that instead of the regular site. By doing that, I'd save a ton of data (I think). Does that change your answers?

I've updated my 2007 MacBook to 10.6.8, and now my iPhone 3 (used as iPod) and iPhone 4 aren't recognized to be synced anymore or I get an error message telling me to update my phone to 11.1 or something. When I do that is appears to update and when finished nothing appears to have updated.
It is possible one of the 10.6.8 updates may help:
Combo v1.1 (7/25/2011), 10.6.8 2013 Security Update 004, 2013-005 Java update.
Note, your machine is too old to use the latest Java from http://www.java.com/ -

You might check and see if there are any Console entries about what happened when you attempted to launch a CS 5.5 app.
Adobe links its apps with the particular volume on which it is running, and altho' I can't recall specifics, I know in the past I have had to reset Adobe's settings after OS upgrade. I do recall that it's a fairly easy procedure; just don't exactly recall what it is.
BTW, CS 4 runs on Mountain Lion for me. -
I changed the name of my apple id and now I can't use the app store on my phone correctly because it's using my apple id's old name. I signed out and in on itunes and synced my iphone. Still doesn't work. Help please?
Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...sign back in with the ID you want to use.
Note: Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to originally obtain them. They cannot be updated using any other Apple ID other than the one they were originally obtained with. -

Without the previous owner's Apple ID and Password, you will not be able to activate the iPad.

I installed both 10.1.4 and 11.0.08 updates this week and now I can't use the Digital "Sign" document feature. It's been completely removed. Need it back. Please help.. Can't sign or add text to any pdf document. Even when security properties allow it.
I would remove Reader and repair or reinstall Acrobat.
Having different major versions can cause some users issues. Reader is not necessary if one has Acrobat installed. Even though Adobe has improved the capability of having both Reader and Acrobat with the same major version level there are still user configurations that have problems with this setup. -

Ever since I upgraded to IOS8 my two iPhones, with separate phone numbers, ring when one iPhone is called. I think the same thing is happening with FaceTime. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

Please help me - I've just upgraded my Iphone 4s to ISO8 and now I can't connect to wifi - was at my friends yesterday - always use his wifi and even though the password was correct, it wouldn't accept it. Came home and had the same problem. I can't use my data plan as it wouldn't be enough so now it's chewing through it.........The only thing I did different was upgrade......... I'm not computer savy so please leave me step by step instruction on how to fix if you can. I've tried rebooting etc and turning everything off - no luck.......
Have you tried resetting the network settings? Sometimes starting from scratch solves the issue and it is the simplest way I can think of that may solve your problem.
1. Go to Settings > General > Reset
2. Then select Reset Network Settings
3. Enter your password when it requests it
After the phone finishes the reset try adding your Wi-Fi again and see if that works. If not, I would back-up your phone to your computer, then reset the whole phone by following the same instructions above, but choosing Reset All Content and Settings at step two. Make sure you backup your phone first though! Otherwise you will lose all the stuff on your phone when you make this selection.

Im having a problem with my Phone and Computer timing out after trying the developer ios8! i dont know what happened ;( its a brand new macbook pro with retina and iphone 5s!
This is a HUGE bug and an incredible embarassment for Apple. I had the same problem has many-transfer of data (music) hung on the last step. Don't waste your time...it won't transfer. I tried everything I could for 8 hours. Next day went to Genius Bar (this was only 3 days after 1os 8 release). Replicated problem for Genius. He couldn't figure it out. We googled so I could show him it was a widespread problem. He was honest-he said this is the biggest bug he has ever seen and Apple has to be working on an update via itunes or iOS. Still no word, and the os has been out almost a week.
Ok..everybody screws up. But Apple isn't even admitting this is their problem, that they are trying to fix it, and they will issue a patch. Complete silence. That is incredibly bad business.
They will release a patch eventually, but they won't talk about this huge screw up that should easily have been picked up. -
Will iTunes support an iPod and iPhone that uses the same computer?
I'm curious to know if Apple has/will take into consideration that many people who will purchase the iPhone, will make the purchase as an addition to their Apple perepherals and not a substitution. Meaning, the iPhone will not replace the iPod as their portable music player. As I understand, Apple has set copyright guidelines to how many iPods one can assign to an individual player, and how many iPods one could transfer files to, to only 1 player. My question is, is Apple going to allow file transfers to both the iPod and iPhone when the user syncs from their computer? I want to purchase the iPhone upon release, but I would reconsider if I was unable to listen to music on both my iPod and iPhone.
Nobody knows how it will interact. Probably just like an iPod does now. You can have multiple iPods for syncing to one computer, each receiving different content. So there shouldn't be any issue there.
By the way, the authorization limit is number of computers not iPods. There has been cases here of whole families with each person having one sometimes two iPods. -
When I downloaded the most recent software update the location services Icon showed up even thought I was not running any programs. Is this something new and is it going to drain my battery? This was not happening before the download. I am told I have to just turn off the location services biut I do use them on a daily basis and it seems to be a pain to have to shut if off everytime. Does anyone know how to fix this or am I just screwed until I upgrade the phone?

Updating iTunes has nothing to do with an iDevice going into recovery mode.
If the device is in recovery mode, restore it via iTunes on a computer. -
I got an iCloud helper message on my iPhone and now I can't use the internet

I received a message on my computer from iCloud helper? Saying I had a virus and it lists everything that is at risk, and then says to call a number. I'm maybe not the most brilliant, and I called. I allowed remote access to my computer and she wanted to charge me 99.95 to clean my mac. I said no. I then deleted and cleared my download folder, all website data and restarted my computer. I updated the software and it was restarted again. I can use my computer fine, but I can't use the internet on my iPhone 4s.
I have closed the internet, turned off the wifi, turned it back on. Restarted my phone. Cleared website data and it still gives me the same message.
Just not sure if I have totally screwed myself or what to do to fix it.
Thanks for any help!Okay than this definitely was not Apple. Apple support techs never have access to your mouse. It sounds like this company installed some software on your Mac. It is hard to tell what their intentions are but just assume in these situations that all your data was compromised. Possibly all your online accounts have been compromised such as social networks, banks, etc.. The smartest thing to do would be to change all of your passwords and reinstall OS X on your Mac. It sounds extreme but that's what happens when a 3rd party company gains control of your computer.
