Upgraded to iTunes 10.4.1 on Windows 7 and now my iPhone 4 won't sync.

I know that there are many issues with this upgrade but was wondering if anybody had this specific problem and has a solution. The message I get from my laptop is that there is insufficient space on the disk which is patently wrong - there is ample space.  What can I do because my iPhone data is no longer being backed-up?

Start here:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
If you have a 2G iPod. that can only go to 4.2.1. The 1G iPod can only go to 3.1.3.  I supose that you have one of those and by support, I think Apple meant that they will issue no more updates for those models.  The iPod will continue to work with iTunes.

Are you using ITunes 10.5? If so have you upgraded to the OS 5 software? Now it should tell you there's an even newer upgrade to the 5.0.1 when you try to sync your iPhone or iPad.  Hope this helps.

  • Installed iTunes 11.0.4 on 10.8.4 and now my iPhone won't sync at all-

I updated iTunes (11.0.4) with the update that came out to fix sync issues between wireless and wired syncing and now when i try to sync it wont sync at all with my iPhone 5.
Side note: it worked fine with 11.0.3...

Fixed my issue. It was Little Snitch blocking itunes & other things on start up. If I rebooted the iPad it would work and then stop after a while. Turn off LS and it work work everytime. Delete iTunes rules in LS and open iTunes and when it asks for internet access allow it and it fixed my problem. Hope it helps mickc82.

  • I copied my entire iTunes folder to my new Mac and now new playlists won't sync to my iPhone.

Hi. I recently installed a new hard drive to my Macbook Pro and as I wanted a clean start decided not to restore from Time Machine. I just copied the entire old iTunes folder into my new music library. iTunes itself functions normally but it won't sync new playlists to my iPhone 5.
I had similar problems with syncing my iPhoto library to my iPhone through iTunes but I rebuilt the iPhoto library and that seemed to fix it. Is there a way to rebuild the iTunes library? I used this document:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
and was given error code -50 saying it was unable to import the playlists.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

My daughter set up her own itunes account (removed her device from my acct) and now her ipod touch won't sync with her new itunes account.  Does anyone know what to do?

To sync items purchased with your iTunes acount the iPod has to be signed into your iTunes account (Settings>Store to signout and in)

I downloaded the latest version of iTunes and now my iPhone won't work properly.  What should I do to try to fix this?  Should I uninstall the new version and if I do, what version should I install.  I am using Windows 7 and iPhone 4S.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
They are different problems because I doubt that iTunes has been able to modify Mail, that has nothing to do with iTunes.
As you are running 10.7.4, download and install OS X 10.7.5, the most recent Lion version > http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1582 After installing the update, you should be able to run Mail

  • I recently updated iTunes to version 11.5.5, and now my iPhone 5 will not sync up completely with iTunes.

I recently updated iTunes to version 11.5.5, and now my iPhone 5 will not sync up completely with iTunes. ITunes will recognize and sync up, but I now cannot manage my music on my phone. Also, all of my playlists on my iPhone were wiped out.  It would be great to retrieve my phone playlists, but more important, be able to manage my music again.  I'm running on Windows 7 and I own iPhone 5.  Suggestions?

  • I just upgraded my operating system on my MacBook Air and now my laptop won't detect my Toshiba 1T external hard drive

I just upgraded my operating system on my MacBook Air and now my laptop won't detect my Toshiba 1T external hard drive, how to solve this problem?

Try some of the troubleshooting steps outlined below:
    Troubleshooting an external hard drive
    > Unplug the hard drive, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in
    > Restart the computer
    > Unplug any other peripherals from the computer
    > Plug it into a different USB port
If none of those steps work, see if it is recognized in Disk Utility.
Checking a disk with Disk Utility
To check a disk using Disk Utility, launch the Disk Utility application in any of the following ways:
    > Type the first few letters of its name into Spotlight. Select it from the results.
    > Go Launchpad > Utilities > Disk Utility
    > Go Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility
Once Disk Utility is opened, check to see if your external HD appears on the sidebar. If it doesn't appear at first, try the troubleshooting steps above again while leaving Disk Utility open, each time checking to see if the external HD appears.

  • Just replace my HD, restored from backup but now my iPhone won't sync with iTunes over wifi

Just replace my HD, restored from backup but now my iPhone won't sync with iTunes over wifi

Is synching over wi-fi viable?  I've never done it, but when I tried something similar back in the old Palm PDA days, it was S-L-O-W, slow as molasses.  I realize that the i-device are far more modern with faster processors, but wondering whether it's even worth exploring doing this.

  • I recently upgraded to 10.8.2 and now my iphone4S won't sync my calendars

I recently upgraded to 10.8.2 and now my iPhone4S won't synch my calendar

You have to pay for the upgrade to Server 3.

  • I upgraded to iTune v 11.0.4.4 and now I'm unable to connect to airplay

I upgraded to iTunes 11.0.4.4 and have lost the ability to connect to any wireless speakers through airplay, as well as connect to itunes via the remote on my iPad and iPhone.  In all attempts I'm receiving a network timed out error.  I'm able to connect to wireless speakers through airplay directly from my iPhone or iPad.  I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, and have attempted to reinstall iTunes, but am still having the same problem.

With assistance from Apple, found the solution:
    (1) Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall (confirm that the firewall is On).
    (2) Click "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall" -- you may need to to click the "Change settings" button.
    (3) Scroll down and highlight the entry for iTunes and click "Remove" button.
    (4) Click OK to exit.
    (5) Return to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall > Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall.
    (6) Click "Allow another app..." button
    (7) Scroll down to "iTunes" and click Add button.
    (8) Click OK to exit.
Change will take affect immediately. The problem stems from the fact that the 11.0.4.4 iTunes update makes a change to the iTunes core executable which is signifcant enough that the Windows Firewall fails to recognize the iTunes application any longer and it must be re-authorized.
