Upgraded to latest version, not finding phone
I upgraded to the latest version out now. program starts ok, but does not find my 6020. Then it tells me to re-install software. I can not try to install cable drivers, it tells me to unplug my phone. I plug in my phone to cable, it shows data cable enhancement, but never finds the phone.
Any one have any fix for this?
Everything worked ok before I upgraded .
what a crock, the connections manager has been looking for my 6020 for over 5 hours. Now it really bites that when I tried to install a cable driver, the nokia software told me to 1st diconnect my phone from the computer.
How in the world can this be? this software can not find my phone for connection, yet tells me that to disconnect my phone ????????????????????????????????????? I am VERY SERIOUSLY THINKING ABOUT ANOTHER BRAND AT THIS POINT IN TIME.
Before you ask, I did NO Changes to my xp sp2 system, all I did was upgrade software and now this **bleep** happens

I had the old version of SpiceWorks working fine on Windows Server 2003 SP2 & thought of upgrading the version to 7.4. When i double click on the downloaded setup, the windows hour glass would show up for few seconds & nothing was happening. Thinking that this was due to old version, i uninstalled it completely & removed the installed directories. Even then i am unable to install the latest version & not finding the source for old version.

Thanks for the question. I understand that your iPod nano is not recognized in iTunes after updating. The following troubleshooting articles may provide a resolution based on your symptoms:
Windows
iPod appears in Windows but not in iTunes

iTunes reports that "iTunes cannot recognize this iPod at this time"

recently i upgrade my phone to latest version 8.1.2 , brought me 2 new issue
1) siri - sometimes can't awake when using speak command " hey siri " in charging mode
2) battery stability - Battery start behave strange after > 35% , can drain to 19 or less in a seconds, previous version able to sustain until 3% before the device ready to switch off, now the device dead in 19~10% force device to shut off , when put the charging cable to phone turn on with battery meter approximately 30% >
i have this issue quite sometimes after upgrade to latest version
3) app crash- the devices sometimes crash, quit the app or freeze but this rarely happen
hope can come out some version to fix above matters, which can be such annoying especially the second issue as highlighted.
thankRESOLVED - I can't believe it, but I have actually figured this out.
Getting frustrated with going in circles, I decided to dig into security options. First off, I opened Windows' Properties for the start-up icon for InDesign. Right off, I noticed under the Compatibility tab that InDesign was set to run in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3). This did not seem right, so I turned off the option to run in Compatibility Mode and re-started up InDesign. Low and behold, the option Window | Mini Bridge was now displayed! And it worked!

've just upgraded to latest version of Firefox 4 and my Mac is only OSX.10.4.11 and now it won't open. How do I downgrade and get old Firefox back. Don't want to lose all my bookmarks. Why was I able to install in the first place. Very frustrated!!
You can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
You can trash Firefox 4.0 then re-install Firefox 3.6, it will use your existing bookmarks, passwords etc

when starting imovie I get an error missing quicktime components. To solve the problem I have upgraded to latest version but it didn't help. I want to either solve this problem or get a refund for the useless upgrade.
Mac OS X 10.6 includes QuickTime versions 10.0 and 7.6.3. The QuickTime 7 player will only be present if a QuickTime Pro key was present at the time of installation, or if specified as part of a custom install, or individually downloaded:

Snow Leopard update 10.6.4 included an update to 7.6.6 (if installed). You can install it from the above link even though it says for 10.6.3. It's the same version of QuickTime Player 7.6.6.
(Only QuickTime Player 7.6.3 or 7.6.6 can be updated to "Pro".)
iMovie does not, AFAIK, use QT 10. -

The latest OS that you can run is 10.5.8. That is as far as Power Mac machines can go.
The latest Quicktime, iTunes, etc., must be both OS X 10.5.8 AND Power Mac (PPC) compatible.

This is a follow up to my message sent around 1529GMT where very time I started Firefox, it would show the message "Upgrade to latest version. So I did - every day for last four days - but the Upgrade message would still be there. Suddenly, today from 1600-ish GMT the problem has disappeared. Has someone changed something somewhere ?

I have updated to latest version of iTunes, phone started to sync now it's stuck! Say's at the top of page: Syncing "iPhone" (Step 1 of 5) Backing up
I had the problem of being stuck/hung in the backup phase of sync. Couldn't close iTunes without going into task manager. Was on the phone with support x3, (uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes, looking for conflicts with with msconfig) no resolution. Searching through forums, I found this to work:
1. Start a command prompt (run as administrator) and issue 'netsh winsock reset'
2. Reboot
Now it syncs just fine. Too bad I had to waste several hours on the phone with Apple. -
Why is it that free games are usually require to purchased the upgrades or full version not free at all?
Cause the people that developed them didn't do it out of the goodness of their hearts, they did it to make money.
I don't go for many games, but one thing to look for is a lot of 'top in app purchases' then read the reviews.
they kinda fall under a technicality, the shell of the game IS free, but content isnt'. Just like the app to read a magazine is free, but the actual magazines aren't.
And i'm sure the app store loves to see so many 'free' signs on the cover, so they can advertise taht there are tons of free apps...which technically there are and they're not lying. Not until you did into it do you see that free app is not the same as free app with free content. -
I've tried to update the latest version however I've been without a phone for a day as it seems to be stuck on an iTunes logo. I've tried updating via iTunes inc updating latest version but my phone still won't reset. Any ideas? Please help

I have found an article that should help you resolve this issue with updating your iTunes. The article can be found here:

and the specific part of the article you will want to look at first is right here:
"Error 42023" through "Error 42408"
These alerts might occur when trying to authorize iTunes or during launch when iTunes checks for authorization information.
Install the latest iTunes from apple.com/itunes/download/
Remove the SC Info folder.
If that does not resolve the issue, see iTunes: "Error 42408" or "Error 42404" after upgrading to iTunes 9.0.3.
