Upgraded to Leopard and lost disks...forgot the admin password. anyone know how to reset in single-user mode?
I received some instructions but they did not work. Does anyone know how to reset this?
1 - Does it boot into Leopard?
2 - Does it have any important data on it that is not backed up elsewhere?
It it boots into Leopard you could continue using it and hope that you find your Leopard install disks later or discover some other way to overcome the lost password.
If it is fully backed up or has no important data on it you could install Tiger.

I uninstalled "Rocky Racoon" in Cydia so that I could unjailbreak my iPod Touch, since it was slow and kept freezing. It runs fine, since I deleted all of the packages I installed myself first (to make sure there was no permanent damage). The only problem is that now, everytime I open Safari or Mail, they immediately crash and send me back to the homescreen. I've downloaded the Google Chrome app as a replacement for now, but I find Safari much more convenient. Anyone know how to fix this?

Could anyone give me ideas on how to unlock my daughters ipod touch 4? She set a password and didn't tell anyone or write it down. She put it in wrong to many times and locked the ipod. I have tried to sync to itunes and still nothing.

If I go tot this window on finder and enter Time Machine I can go back and find old notes...
If so, am I doing this on my new hard drive on on the time machine? When I do this on the time machine, what is "my home"? Also, I am unable to find "containers".
If I go to users/jeff/library, then I see components, compositions, contextual, etc, but not containers.

When I attach a jpg or pdf to a mail it shows as the whole document "pasted" into the mail. Anyone know how I get the file to just show as an icon and not as a mass of pasted in docs?

PedroFor your own viewing, you can of course control-click on the attachment and select "View as Icon".
For others' viewing, it depends upon their email reader. To ensure that attachments are not displayed expicitly you can put them all in a zip file (via control click and "Compress") then attaching them, or you can use third party stuff like Attachment Tamer.

Okay, so I try to download and every time it says "There was an error creating a temporary file that is needed to complete the installation".
