Upgraded to Mountain Lion and my calendars do not appear.
I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion (OS 10.8.1).
In iCal my different calendars did not appear, I just get a blank calendar.
I always synced iCal with my iPhone before and this is the first problem I have had.
I have found that I need to use a me.com server address on the CalDev server as it seems to have forgotten that I am a .mac user!
So I am stuck using a me.com server which doesn't really help me at all!
There is NO CalDev server that answers to mac.com.
Apple please will you fix this?
The server at me.com has an expired security certificate which I have reluctantly had to accept.

Does this mean that the mac.com or me.com addresses will be made unusable in the near future?

I object most strongly to being FORCED to do anything (I have OCD which negatively impacts upon my life every day) and dug my heels in for as long as I could, but eventually I had to go through with the 'wrong' server and it has worked, so far.
Did you check other places on your HD?

I upgraded from the app store. It is actually quite awhile ago so I do not remember how. I think I used a thumbdrive to create some type of file. No I do not have any backups. My iLife CD is nowhere to be found because this is a very old macbook pro that I've had for a couple years.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You just have to enable journaling. To do it, open Disk Utility (in /Applications/Utilities) and choose Macintosh HD or your OS X volume in the sidebar. Then, you will see the button to enable journaling in the toolbar, so press it. When it finishes, run the OS X Mountain Lion installer.
Make a backup before upgrading and check that your applications are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com -
I used to be able to "Save" my material in PAGES. I upgraded to "Mountain Lion" and now when I go to "Save", it says "permission denied". How can I correct this?
<E-mail Edited by Host>Several users have had this problem in Mountain Lion. The system has decided you don't have read/write permissions. Have you done any updates to your system lately? Using Disk Utility to repair permissions after any upgrade or update, especially to the system, is a good practice. So first, I would repair permissions & then if you still have the problem, locate the file in Finder & go to File > Get Info & look in the Sharing & Permissions section. You should be the only one with read/write permissions but something has happened. Click on the words under "priveledge" next to your name & change it to read & write. You will probably have to enter your admin password.

What you posted is rather vague. By doesn't work do you mean the applications don't open at all or are you getting a message stating that your product needs activation? If it's product activation then that is something that Microsoft will have to assist you with. If your problem is that the applications simply won't open you may have to uninstall and reinstall Office again. This is common on the Windows platform too. Rarely when you upgrade to a new OS Office sometimes has an issue with the upgrade and won't open correctly. I would suggest merely uninstalling and reinstalling. Nine times out of ten that helps. -

Just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my Calendar refuses to sync with the Exchange server. Events deleted on the web interface dont show up on my Air Calendar. Any thoughts on this?

I have recently upgrades to Mountain Lion and I can not get the calendar utility to come alive. Icon appears in the tast bar but the application does not launch or appear to be any where else. Any suggestion?
Did you look in the Applications folder for Calendar? If it is there, remove the item that is in the Dock and replace it by dragging the Calendar application to the Dock.
If it is not there, did you have iCal located somewhere other than the Applications folder when you upgraded? -
Why, when MobileMe was shuttered, does Apple NOT support calendar subscriptions for iCal (Calendar)?
I upgraded to Mountain Lion and cannot migrate my Dutch, U.K., Islamic, or Catholic holiday subscriptions. I had a heck of a time getting my Detroit Tigers Baseball team schedules migrated (but Major League Baseball supported the subscriptions, so it occurred). As I work internationally, having these calendar subscriptions on the new Calendar would be very useful.
If one goes to the Apple site, and seeks calendars [http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/calendars/index1.html], they are shunted to MobileMe [https://www.icloud.com/mobileme/not_found/], with the note "MobileMe is closed. Go to iCloud." But, I do not see how to get subscriptions from iCloud.
Thanks.The problem is that many of these calendars were hosted on MobileMe. I actually tried about 20 at random, and only two worked! Not all of the failures were ex-MobileMe, some were on other servers but produced 'File Not Found'.
Strangely, this one worked despite its URL:

Until the people who publish these calendars (it's not Apple, they are third-party) wake up and find alternative servers these calendars are not available.
There may be other sources which work - try Googling. -
want to use icloud on my macbook and cant because I am using OSX10.6.8 - I want to upgrade this but I cant upgrade to mountain lion as my mac does not support this - cannot find a way to go to Version 10.7.4 which i understand supports icloud - help to do this please
If you purchased Lion for your iMac, just log into the Mac App Store from your MacBook using the Apple ID under which you purchased Lion and go to the Purchases page. You will be able to download and install Lion there.

The only place you get get Lion is from the Mac App Store. If you found some other site, that was an illegal copy and almost certainly tied to someone else's Apple ID and hence unusable by you. If the link was just to the Mac App Store, see above.
As to the problem with synchronization to iCloud, that's not a 10.6 question, so I'd suggest you take up that specific issue in either the Lion or iCloud forums, providing full details, and someone there can probably help you sort things out.

What a disaster and huge mistake. Upgraded to Mountain Lion and now I can't run Autocad 2012 for Mac, any of my Adobe Creative suites software such as Photoshop, Illustrator.. and now I can't even do upgrades because Mountain Lion doesn't allow me to launch DMGs. I've lost thousands of $'s in software, not to mention time, but most importantly now I can't even work! I just tried to revert back to Snow Leopard by intalling it back in my hard drive and it won't let me. I never used Time Machine. Is there any way on earth I can revert back to my old operating software??? Please help. And if you haven't upgraded yet and are thinking about it. BEWARE - and don't do it. I've been reading that Mountain Lion isn't working with Microsoft applications either. Omy...I haven't even checked that.

No you are not, calm down, cbs20 already gave you the answer on opening dmg files, updates are available for most of your programs and I assume you have licenses for the Adobe products. AutoCad you'll have to wait for.
And please .... Start Backing Things Up, you could lose it all without one, work included. -

I have upgraded to Mountain Lion and have found that some of my software no longer works, notably Image Browser and also the Epson Scanner Perfection 3490 software. Is there a 'patch' or way to allow me to use these programmes especially the scanner.
Apple discontinued support for PowerPC apps with Lion, I think, so you're out of luck there. No patch coming, unfortunately. Best to upgrade whatever old applications you have or, since it seems like you're using some relatively old software, scout around for replacements that give you the functionality you need.
Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Print & Scan and select your scanner from the list--if it's not there you'll need to add it (start with the little plus icon). Once you have it in the list you can click on the Open Scanner button and a pretty barebones scanner driver will load for you. But Image Capture (as mentioned previously), found in your Applications folder, will probably do the job as adequately, or better, than your old scanner software. -

Just upgraded to mountain lion and my HP Laserjet p1102W to print (worked fine via USB with Snow Leopard; I never had set it up wirelessly, though had wanted to do so.) HP site said if printer worked with Snow Leopard nothing would need to be done; update of drivers would be automatic within Mountain Lion upgrade. No such luck. My Macbook Pro and HP Printer are not talking to each other. HELP, please!

When I tried to print, I was told to get new drivers from HP. HP site says what I wrote above, that I need do nothing if printer worked with Snow Leapord. Also read that a new HP Laserjet would need to be connected only via Airprint. So, I have deleted the printer from the print queue, thinking that might help, but I can't find how to install it via Airprint?? After deleting the printer and having no luck with connecting wirelessly, I tried plugging in USB from printer to MacBook pro, too, thinking maybe that would help, but there is no recognition at all.
What am I missing???

Connect the printer to your Wireless Network and use Bonjour to detect nd connect it.
That's wrong. AirPrint is not just for iOS devices. Since HP doesn't provide drivers for this printer, they say to use AirPrint:

I've reset my PPAM before to get around Firmware lock, but I've upgraded to mountain lion and now need to do the same thing, but I can't reset the PRAM. I've heard of the chip that is on the post 2011 macs, but I must not have one? What to do? Also, I can not get start up chimes unless I have the factory startup disk in. Can the PRAM be reset with the factory startup disk in or must the mac boot from the hard drive? Need help.
