Upgraded to new iPhone, and built-in apps are missing
I just upgraded to a new iPhone. I restored the data from my old iPhone.
But now the new iPhone is missing the built-in apps it came with. I thought there was supposed to be a compass, but it is nowhere to be found.
I'm not referring to iTunes store-bought apps, but the apps that come with the iPhone.
How can I get them back?

WHen I first installed iOS 6 the App Store crashes...and now having iOS 6 for 2 weeks now, all my apps are buggy and now are crashing! Safari and built in apps are becoming slow and crash. I hate how apple leaves iPod touch 4g and iPhone 4 in the dark and basically force us to upgrade to newer devices. Apple could of done better with the update and needs to resolve these issues.
Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Nothing is stored on the sim card on an iPhone. If you backed up to your computer the backup will contain your calendar events. Otherwise, if your phone isn't functioning there is no way to back up or extract your calendar at this point.

Ran the new update and now all apps are waiting.
I updated to the 7.1.1 and now all my apps are waiting. I am not even able to delete them.
It's restoring from backup; can take very long ig internet is slow.

Restore backup to iPhone 4S from iPhone 4 backup but apps are missing now.
I backup my iPhone 4. Then I setup my new iPhone 4S by selecting Restore from backup and selecting the backup of the iPhone 4 that I just did. When it is all complete, most of my apps that were in stalled on the iPhone 4 are not on my iPhone 4S. A few of the custom folders are there with only one of two of my downloaded apps but most are nowhere to be seen. I have rebacked up the iPhone 4 (which I confirmed still has all the folders and apps) and repeated the restore process but it turns out the same each time. Any tips? Thanks,
MarcFigured it out. "Synch apps" was unchecked in iTunes.

My FaceTime app on my new phone disappeared.
How do I get it back.You are asking a question of a post that was written almost 3 years ago. At that time, there was no FaceTime app for iOS devices.
Try restoring the device to Factory Settings to see if the app shows up (do not restore using a backup):

Any restrictions set up for FaceTime in Settings/General/Restrictions? If yes, disable them.
Also, there are carriers that don't support FaceTime. -
I just updated my Ipad to the latest version. My apps disappeared. Why when I try to run a sync does it look like it is working then the sync cancels?

Just bought a new iPhone and am having trouble with iTunes and App Store. I can log in to Cloud, iTunes, and app store but once I try to download, it says "Youe apple id has been disabled". I've reset my password three times and have no issue on my Pad.

While updating my iphone 4s to ios6, I had to restore it. Now every time I connect to itunes, I get the "Set Up Your iPhone" window with the set up as new iphone and restore from backup options. After the restore, I got everything except my apps and music back. Do I need to set the phone up as new again?

Why would you make a new account? This will likely cause many problems. Just get you old account enabled.

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.
