Upgraded to new phone, Original Phone will not initalize.
I upgraded to the new phone, works great. I erased the data on the old phone (original iPhone) and now want to give it to my kid to use as an IPOD. I can't get it past the Apple Logo Screen.
Hooked it up to iTunes... doesn't recognize it.
Now I'm stumped.
OK, I got mine to work by following the directions in this post from Apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Connect the USB cable to a computer and, while holding down the home key on the phone, connect the cable to the phone. When iTunes recognizes the phone, it will ask if you want to restore the software.
The only hitch I had here was when it went to do the restore, it had to download the software and that took a while. In the meantime, the phone shut down and I had to go through the procedure again. It didn't respond every time, so be patient.

What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?
Do you see the BlackBlerry dots logo at the top right of the home screen next to the signal bar indicator?
If not, and if the BIS status is not connected, could be the plan is not yet provisioned by Tesco.
Then, try this:
On your BlackBerry device, go to:
1. On OS5 devices: Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register. On OS6 devices: Options > Device > Advanced > Host Routing Table
2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.From your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830

HT201401 MY NEW PHONE WILL NOT WORK UNLESS CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE
My iphone 4 has been faulty since getting it on contract with 3mobile in jan. The phone will work when plugged into a power source but not otherwise. I have contacted apple and followed their inistructions but still not working. Some one has told me it sounds like the charger connection within the phone does anyone else have this problem ??? i am losing patience with both apple and 3 now
1. Try doing a hard reset while connected to the adapter:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
2. If that doesn't solve the issue, backup the device and restore it as new.
In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup. If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.

how do get my new phone to register my new apple id when it keeps coming up with old id, but i can reset anything off the old id, cant even restore the phone cause it keeps using the old id!
All content bought using an Apple ID cannot be merged or transferred to another Apple ID.
If you want only to use the new Apple ID, you need to delete all apps, music & books with the old Apple ID and repurchase with the new Apple ID. -
Just upgraded to new iTunes, downloaded shows, will not play.
I just upgraded to the newest itunes last night, and today I downloaded three episodes of Lost.
They will not play. It says time is elapsing, but there is no sound or video, just a gray screen.
Does anyone have any idea why?Try the following: download BatChmod and run on the iDVD project package with the settings shown in the screenshot below:

If your files use a different Group you can use it. Then launch iDVD and see if you can open the project file.

Brand new phone will not charge after battery low
My daughter has had her phone 4 days and it has only today died completely it had icon in corner saying off so I put it on charge. But where the battery icon was there was no sign to say it was charging. I left it an hour and nothing so I did a battery pull and it rebooted but then died completely. Still no light on to say charging. I also read on another forum to plug charger in while battery removed but still nothing at all. Also before this when she put her simcard in which is a contract bb sim it was saying it wasn't connected to bb Internet and bbm was not working. Please help

Hi, I have recently upgraded from and Iphone 4 to 5. I completed a back up on my iphone 4 via icloud which went ok. When setting up my new phone I selected to set up as a new phone and not via icloud back up. Is there anyway I can restore my details to my new phone? Thanks Hayley
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates available.
Navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from. -

I have run into the same problem.
1. I was sharing the same itunes account with my wife for both of our iPhones 4s. She upgraded her phone to IOS7 two weeks before I did. After I did we ran into problems with messaging. Because we shared itunes account, both iphones were linked. When I sent text messages to someone, she got a copy. When they replied, she got a copy. I tried several ways to remove her phone from my profile, but would not work with new IOS7. I had to create a seperate itunes account for my phone in oirder to do so, as recommended on several help forums.
2. I backed up my phone onto itunes before setting up seperate itunes account. It showed that all the photos, contacts, notes, apps, etc. were synced and backed up.
3. I logged off itunes (former shared account- now wife's account), logged into new itunes account, and proceeded to restore my phone, while logged into my new itunes account, thinking this would delete my wife's phone from the profile as shared devices.
4. Phone would not restore by automatically syncing with itunes, by selecting back up recovery file to recover, or even by deleting everything and starting fresh as if it were a new phone, then trying to restore the data file as if it were recovering the backup info onto the new phone.
5. I get the same **** initialization loop sequence on the iphone every time, even after itunes goes through the recovery process, syncing all data, etc., multiple times. The iPhone loops through the grey screen "Welcome" in different languages, then asks which wireless server I want to connect to, enter passcode, then asks if I want to set up phone as a new device, backup from iCloud, or from iTunes backup. It does not matter which I select. It prompts me to connect to iTunes again. The point is, I have already been through these procedures and the iPhone cannot get past this point and enter run mode, showing me a screen with all my recovered settings.
For time being, just to have a functional phone, I have had to delete everything off the phone and set it up as a new device, back to factory settings. Then the phone will get past this and enter into run mode showing screen and apps with factory settings, no contacts, no email ( have to set up again), no voice mail ( have to reset).
Any ideas on how to over ride this reset mode in the iPhone, when all I want to do is download and recover settings from a backup in iTunes to the device? -
i downloaded an upgrade from itunes last night to os5.1 i think. it said there was a problem with the download. now my phone will not work at all. it just has a picture of the itunes logo ans a picture of a usb cable on it. my computer will not recognise phone either

Try rebooting it and connect. Make sure you're connected directly to a USB port using the Apple USB cable. -
I upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 7.0.2 and now my phone will not auto-connect to the home wifi network. Each time I leave and return to within range of the network I have to remember to manually connect, otherwise it continues to use 4G for data. The credentials are saved (all I have to do is tap it to connect) but just won't happen automatically any more.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?Tried the reset multiple times. No go. Before the IOS 7.0,2 update my devices were connecting to home WIFI eventually.

Phone will not sync to new pc. dont want to sync and loose data on phone
I loaded software on my pc – pc was stolen – all info is on my phone but not new pc. New pc has a different name and now phone will not sync and keep current info, I don’t want to lose my data on phone. I have changed my password many times – if I use new password in Itunes store on pc it works but will not work on phone. Apple ID is different on phone. How do I fix all of this?
It seems that I have multiple ID’s and 2 email addresses. My email address changed and I did so on iTunes but when going on to store it asks for password and still shows old email address. ID on iphone is the old email address and I don’t remember the password. How do I fix this. I cannot login on iTunes on my phone.
