Upgraded to OS X Yosemite, but repeatedly receive Java runtime error

I recently upgraded to OS X Yosemite, despite the fact that I don't like the current version I got one additional problem: I repeatedly receive an alert that I need to install Java Runtime Environment. I did update my Java envrionment for more than 3 times and all the times I verified the environment through an additional step to make sure I have a verified and correct version of JAVA! But this problem still persists ! It makes me go back to previous and old version which I don't want to... Any help???

HI,
I found this thread in regards to your question ( I have the same issue). I've seen we need to install Apple's Java 6, the latest Oracle Java 8 and now this says install Java 7! Can someone PLEASE FIX this issue???? How many Java versions do we need on our computers just because of ONE upgrade? I'm going to try the Java 7 thing and see if it works.

    Hey blair2900,
I would check out the steps in this link, they'll guide you through a way to resolve the issues you're encountering when trying to update:
Issues installing iTunes or QuickTime for Windows

If you do end up having to uninstall and reinstall (step 2), make sure you do it in the order the document advises, as that can effect the outcome.

I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8 and want to upgrade to OS X Yosemite, but will I lose my purchased programs as I have a student version of the creative suite that will cancel itself if I try to reinstall it?
    Thanks in advance

You won't lose the purchased software unless a problem occurs or it's incompatible with Yosemite. Back everything up first.

I-Photo won't open even though I have upgraded to OS X Yosemite and downloaded the I-Photo upgrader.
But have you run the the iPhoto Library upgrader? It is installed in Applications > Utilities. Launch it and direct it to your iPhoto library.
Which version of iPhoto did you upgrade from?
The upgrader is only necessary, if you have been  running iPhoto7.1.2 or earlier.

CS6  Just upgraded my mac to Yosemite but now can't import graphics from photoshop to illustrator.  Does anyone have a solution?

My advice to you is, if you can, drop back to Mavericks. You will have better luck since CS4 is not supported (nor are CS5 or CS5.5) on Yosemite. The other alternative is to uninstall the entire suite, run the cleaner tool and reinstall completely from the original discs or a new download. Be prepared for other fun stuff as well.

Have been using Lightroom on my Apple computer for years. Now, ever since upgrading to Apple's  Yosemite operating system I get an error message (150:30) every time I try to open a lightroom file. Has anyone else experienced this problem?  Also how do I subscribe to Adobe's Premium Support? Every time I've tried (through contact support) I just get taken on an unending loop.

I think we need a lot more information.
Exactly what does the message say?
Exactly what files are you trying to open?
Exactly how are you trying to open them (what menu command or button or mouse action or keyboard shortcut)?
And lastly, what version of Lightroom are you using?

  • Upgraded to Lion, getting Java runtime error.

I recently upgraded to Lion. Since then I am getting "Java runtime error" and says I need to downoad java, but that I am not connected to the interned. Clearly I am connected to the internet as I am writing this now. Of course Apple wont let me download java myself from the java website.
    So heeeeeelp?
    thanks!

    Hi Braden,
    you cannot d/l Java from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1421 ?
Have you tried another browser -- maybe that would work?
Otherwise. the easiest way is of course downloading it on another machine, copying it to a thumb drive and plugging that into your Lion Mac then...
    Hope that helps,

  • When I updated itunes, I received a runtime error R6034

When I updated itunes to 11.1.4 for windows, I receive a runtime error message R6034. How do I correct this?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • My accounts program won't run without legacy Java SE6 runtime since I upgraded to OS x Yosemite but I can't download it

My "Solar" accounts program won't run without "legacy Java SE6 runtime" since I upgraded my iMac desktop to OS x Yosemite but I can't download it, nothing happens when you click on the link to apple support

Okay, I'm not a Genius, but, I'm smarter than the one I spoke to at the Apple Store. They told me that they couldn't help me with Legacy Java SE6 Runtime. Adobe has the worst support in the industry so don't call them.
If you have a Time Machine backup, go to one that pre dates your install of Yosemite. Go to the System/Library/Java and drag copy the folder to your internal hard disk. Now you will need the Administrator password. Once copied, drag the old Java folder into your System/Library folder and when asked to replace, click OK. Restart your Mac and you will have use of your software that requires Legacy Java SE6 Runtime.
I'm totally done with Apple since they are trying to box me into a corner. Have fun kids.

  • I attempted to perform the itunes update on two different PCs and itunes will no longer open and I received a message to reinstall itunes. The reinstall did not work and I now receive a Runtime error message (R6034) re: library loading incorrectly. Help?

I attempted to perform the itunes update on two different PCs. Itunes will no longer open and prompted me to reinstall itunes.  The reinstall did not work after several attempts and I received an error: "Runtime error R6034. An application has made an attempt to load the C Runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information."  Has anyone else had this issue? How can I resolve it?

I've been having the same exact problem this morning, and from the looks of it a lot of other people are posting about this issue, so I don't know if it's maybe something wrong with the download but I'm just relieved that it seems to be that instead of a corruption issue with my windows installation.  I'm just wondering how long this will take to be resolved.

    Hi Victor,
I can't actually run your code above, because I'm missing the
XML file, etc. But the one thing that actually stands out to me is
that you are placing spry:region attributes on <table> and
    <select> elements which aren't allowed.
The reason is that in IE, those elements have a read-only
innerHTML property, so they can't be used to insert new content.
The workaround is to wrap your <select> with a <span>
and your <table> with a <div> and then put the regions
    on those elements.
See if that gets you going.
