Gestures is not working like it did before. The side to side, forward back swipe, is very picky. Sometimes it takes four or five tries before it works. And yes I know how to do it. I have had a magic trackpad for about one year. And was greatly pleased by how it worked, BEFORE Mavericks. It has has indeed changed.

Can't print to Canon LBP7200Cdn after Lion upgrade

Since upgrading to Lion, I can't register (and therefore can't use) my office printer, a Canon LBP7200Cdn.
I tried for weeks to get it to work with the interim driver Canon released with Lion, then gave up and waited for the full driver. Then that didn't work either.
Installation of the driver appears to work fine, but once the printer is registered, printing from any program gives me the error message "/Library/Printers/Canon/CUPSCAPT/Bins/capdftopdl failed".
The problem is the same whether connecting via USB or IP.
I had the same problem when I updated to Snow Leopard 10.6.7, but installing Canon's new driver fixed it. Now nothing works and I haven't been able to print since the summer. No other Mac users are having this problem (but I'm the only one running Lion). Would welcome help from anyone.

I'm having the same issue. I've re-installed the Canon software after deleting all of the folders & files that they talk about in the user manual.

Directly to the computer with USB
2. Can you make copies without using your computer? This will verify if the printer is working.
Don't know waiting for my folks to try this.
3. Are you installing drivers from the CD disk or downloading them from the Canon website here:

At last i did some experiments and it solved my problem... heres the solution :
1. Install the reliance drivers and software from their website.
2. As the reliance software is not supported my mavericks it wont open, but dont worry.
3. Now after installation go to system preferences->network->and select "ZTE Wireless Terminal".
4. Configuration: Default
     Telephone number: #777
     Account name and password should be the owners number.
5.Finish ! press apply and click Connect...

Buy Snow Leopard from the online Apple Store - http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard - and update until you get to 10.6.8. Then, if you're computer is able to run Mountain Lion, you'll be able to purchase ML and install it via the App Store.

Try delete the mainstage preferences
from USER/library/preferences com.apple.mainstage.plist
even if you are running mainstage 2.1.3 and not 2.2.2 it should work with mountain lion

TIP: DO NOT UPGRADE TO OSX YOSEMITE!!!

If you are on a Mac (unfortunately I'm forced to use one at the office), do not, I repeat, do NOT "upgrade" to OSX Yosemite. Adobe still hasn't figured out the conflicts between EA and Yosemite. I've been fighting issues all day with lock ups, etc. If you want to keep your sanity, wait to upgrade the OS until Adobe issues a patch.
On a side note, I can't wait to get back to my PC at home. No issues there...

After upgrade to OSX Mavericks my 2009 MBP keeps crashing due to kernel panic (happens every 20 minutes or so). Please help me with this, it's getting very frustrating. PSC 1315 no longer supported for scanning since Mac OS X v10.5 or while using any newer OS, there is no scan software provided by either HP or Apple (Image Capture)

Image capture will not recognize your device as well, only print is supported as you may find listed for teh PSC 1310 Series below:

Although there is no official scanning support for your device you may still try the 3rd party VueScan software which list your scanner as supported and compatible with Mountain Lion:

Documents will not open after upgrading to OSX 10.5.1

Purchased an iMac in October/07 (OSX 10.2) and transferred files (word processing & spreadsheet files) from an old Mac running OS 8.6.
All files were copied over and I was able to open them using 'Pages', etc but once I upgraded to OSX 10.5.1, an error is generated (the error is: cannot execute binary file) if I try to open them.
All the copied files (word processing & spreadsheet files) now seemed to be labelled as 'exec' so I'm assuming the operating system considers them to be executables.
Is there something I can do to fix this?

Yes. It's the 10.5.1 Combo update.
Download the Combo update from this site (yours may be corrupt), not Software Update, disconnect all firewire + USB devices except keyboard + mouse, Repair Permissions, re-install update, Repair Permissions again +try!
