Upgraded to pro X and having issues with form created in pro 9
I created a form in LiveCyle using Pro 9, the form was created for an employer who had to buy Pro X so I was upgraded to Pro X. Here are the issues I am having, This form was the first time I have ever created a form and I have never used Java Script so there is no scripting involved.
1) With Pro 9, if I opend the form with adobe instead of LiveCycle I could delete pages. Now with Pro X I can not however I can delete pages in PDF's that I did not use LiveCycle on. How do I enable exert, delete, insert, etc....
2) I was told that with Pro X it was possible to set the form so that when it's emailed back to the employer after being filled out, it could be secure. I have not been able to figure out how to set that up. The employer needs to receive the completed PDF as a PDF with the information that was input secure (socials, etc... ). If I set up an email button the employer receives a list for information and that does not work for them.
3) The employer would like to have a few fields that they input in the form then secure them or make them read only so the employee can not modify. I know how to do it design mode but it prevents them from being able to input the information they want (employee number for example).
Java Script is totally foreign to me as I am not an IT person I am a novice computer user that is self taught. If I am going to have to learn this, can anyone suggest a website or book for beginners?

Hi Heather,
There are a few things going on.
Firstly, forms that are created in LC Designer are fundementally different to native PDF documents. LC Designer forms are known as XFA Forms and are placed in a PDF wrapper, so that they can be opened in Acrobat/Reader. However a lot of the normally editing options (like deleting pages) that you can perform on a native PDF, you cannot do on an XFA Form.
You can set up the form to be emailed back and there are a number of options. The example here (http://assure.ly/dYQFb4 and http://assure.ly/hM2A5y) looks at the standard Submot by Email button down to custom buttons, depending on the functionality you need/want.
One of the things you need to bear in mind is that for users with Reader to be ble to submit the form back as a PDF, it first needs to be Reader Enabled. This is something you can do in Acrobat before you send out the form, but there are license restrictions. See here . http://assure.ly/etkFNU.
You can set up a solution that locks the fields in the form, prior to submission, but you are getting into scripting. There is an example here: http://assure.ly/yDtfsM.

I am having issues with my mac book pro backing up
It is taking days. I have 5200 photos on it and a few problems so the mac guys said to back it up so they can do a few things to it but nothing major. Why is it taking SO long to back up? It's at 7.45 GB and will be complete at 41 GB.

Just upgraded to 2.0 software, having issues with apps and fetching
what is fetching? it is set to manual fetching right now? what does that do and how do i fetch? also, i downloaded 9 free apps, and iTunes said it couldnt sync them to my ipod because i don't have privelages for them on my computer. can anyone help me with this? the apps are in my iTunes, but i cannot find a place to run them on my ipod. thanks!
Fetching is the ipod manually looking for the new data,its not pushed to the ipod like mobile me is. And I have no clue about you app problem. DId you purchase them on the same computer that is the main computer for the ipod?

I have a MacBook Pro Late 2011 and having issues with utilities screen.
I have a MacBook Pro Late 2011. I want to reformat my hdd to start from scratch. My issue is when I am on the utilities screen I am unable to click on anything. I want to delete my current partition but I am unable to click on Disk Utilities. Please help me!
According to your profile your Mac is running v10.7.3 Lion.
If that is the case, to reformat the hard drive you need to use Lion Recovery not Disk Utility. -
Safari kept shutting down and someone suggested trying a safe start to correct issue. All this did was create a new oils sue as my MacBook Pro OS X 10.9.1 system only begins the safe start within lay a small portion of the bar filling and then shuts down. Now I cannot even get back to my regular screen.

Have you tried booting into your recovery partition? To do so, hold down a Command key and the R key as you start up. It should eventually show a Mac OS X Utilites menu, from which Disk Utility can be selected. In Disk Utility, select the disk that your MacBook Pro boots from (typically named “Macintosh HD”). Once the disk is selected, press the “Verify Disk” button; if it shows problems, press the “Repair Disk” button. Once the verification/repair is complete, restart normally, to see if you can login as normal. Once you can log in again, see if Safari still has the same problem with shutting down. -
Setting up a New Site and Having Issues with Flash SWF's
Hello. I just set up a new site definition, with a testiing server using MAMP Pro, and everything seems to be functioning properly, except that my swf's are not showing up when you publish to a browser from dreamweaver, instead you get the place holder message to upgrade to the newest version of flashplayer... besides the fact that my computers flash player is up to date. At this point in time my two other websites swf components work just fine when I publish out of dreamweaver.
I'd also like to mention that the Live View works perfectly and is displayinig the swf's as they should be.

Sometimes upgrading the USB port drivers help. I visited the GA-Z77-D3H driver website and found a few files that you can install. You may want to try installing the Intel Management Engine Interface, Intel INF installation and Etron USB 3.0 driver. I think it is better to download from Gigabyte's website as it may be a newer version compared to the one in the included driver disc.
i have actually already downloaded all the drivers from gigabyte and updated all of them but still undetected. -

Issues with forms created in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI
Hey Gang,
I need your help to figure out why my interactive form text fields that were created in Acrobat turn black when clicked and don't display text when typed into. The text that is being typed is there, but it is not visible until you select the next text field. Also the solid black bar goes away as well when you select a new text field on the form. By the way it might be important to note that my interactive PDF started as a SWF file before being exported as a PDF. Either way the form fields were created in Acrobat Pro XI. Thanks for any help.The font is set to Helvetica 12pt. I have been messing around with the form and have noticed that if I click edit form and then click done editing. The form will function properly until I click anywhere other than a text field.
