Now I'm using a brand new computer (Windows) and I have opened a NEW iTunes account, but I now I need to figure out if it is possible to recoup my music content that I originally had. I had, I believe around close to 300 songs on my account ;(......Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Now remove all your info and update the old AppleiD/iTunes account and use only that account.
You cannot transfer items between iTunes accounts.
You can redownload all the content.

If they really meant that much to you, they would have been copied off to a computer at the earliest possible opportunity.
I personally find it amazing that people get so upset when pictures "accidentally" get deleted and then scream about how important they are.  You wouldn't leave important paper work lying around to be lost/damaged/stolen, so why take a chance with important pictures on a device that can so easily be lost/damaged/stolen, or deleted by a child.

  • I had to have the hard drive replaced on my computer and i lost all my iTunes data and I hadn't backed up my music. can I still transfer music from my iPod to a new iTunes?

Music Rescue also works as far as restoring your playlists etc. I've used it twice, you can use the Quick Recover mode, but have to click continue trial (something like that) allot, cp. to purchase option. Otherwise diesel is right as far as restoring via  your purchase history.
Here is a review of Music Rescue.

You have a backup of your computer, or at the very least of your iTunes media, correct?
Simply copy your backup of your iTunes media into the iTunes library on your new computer.
Connecting and syncing your device to the new computer without first recovering your iTunes media is a really, really, really bad idea.  iDevices are designed to ONLY sync with one computer.  When you plug your device into a new computer, it will wipe all media on the device when it syncs.  The only media you may be able to salvage and transfer to the new computer would be anything bought directly on the device.
If you do not have a backup of your iTunes media, then you will want to either look at a way (using software from a third party company)  to either extract the media from you iDevice or your old computer (assuming the hard drive is not toast).

  • I had to get my laptop cleaned and all my itunes music and movies are gone how do i get them back?

i had to get my laptop cleaned and all my itunes music and movies are gone how do i get them back?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.

  • I changed computers and lost all mu itunes music

I recently bought a new computer and cannot find my itunes music and movies. Is this because of the new computer or something else? Thanks

Don't confuse what's on your computer and what's stored by the iTunes Store.  The iTunes Store only keeps a list of what you have purchased.  Most will be available for redownload but that is not guaranteed which is why you need to not rely upon the store as a backup for your media.  The Store will not, of course, have information about media obtained from other sources such as CDs unless you also subscribe to Match.  Even then that is only for music so if you have home movies in iTunes it will only be on your computer.
None of the above includes the structure you have given it in iTunes (which is the application on your computer, not your accuont at the Store) such as ratings, playlists, playcounts.  That is only stored in the library file on your computer.  If you do not transfer that then all you have is a potentially incomplete set of media files.

  • My toshiba laptop which had all my iTunes music and everything else on it was stolen. How can I get it back or am I out of luck?

My toshiba laptop that had all my itunes music along with everything else was stolen. Is there a way to get it back or is it gone forever?

You can re-download all purchased iTunes content, except ringtones, for free:

That is, if still available in the iTunes store.

  • Move Itunes, Music and Podcast to a new PC

I want to move ITunes software, Music and Podcast from a Windows XP to a Windows 7 PC and keep the Podcast and Music?  I don't want the IPod Shuffle to be resync.  It wants to clear the Podcast and Music that's on the IPod Shuffle.

    This document describes some methods.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
The most precise and efficient method is the one named External drive.  If you are proficient in networking Windows computers, you can use the same method and transfer the files over a network connection, instead of using an external drive.  NOTE:  Depending on network speed, using an external drive may still be faster.
Although there are many steps in the document, I'll summarize how it works.
There is a folder called iTunes in your computer's user data Music folder.  By default, they are located here (for Windows)
    Win XP - \Documents and Settings\[your username]\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
    Win 7 - \Users\[your username]\My Music\iTunes\
If you are using the standard (default) iTunes settings, that is good, because ALL of your iTunes data is in that iTunes folder.  You are copying that complete iTunes folder to an external drive.
On the new computer, after you install iTunes and run it at least once, it also has an iTunes folder.  From the external drive, (with iTunes NOT running) you are replacing that new iTunes folder with the existing iTunes folder from your old PC.  The next time you run iTunes on your new PC, it uses the iTunes folder from your old PC and iTunes should look like it did on your old PC, with all the content.  Since it's the same iTunes library, the iPod should not need a "resync."
When you read the long detailed procedure in the document, you can keep my summary in mind so that you "see the big picture."  If you are not using the default iTunes settings, the document covers what to do.  You can post back with any specific questions.

  • HT1386 I have a new computer and when I tried to sync my iPod Touch with the new iTunes, it has lost all of my music and videos from my iPod/old iTunes library: including all but 4 songs of my bought songs, videos and audeobooks!

I have recently updated my computer since my old one broke and therefore had to download a new iTunes. When I came to add my iPod to this new iTunes, I was given no option to transfer the contents of my iPod library to this new iTunes and was forced to try 'sync'; when my old computer was repaired once we lost all of our data so I had to download a new iTunes then, all of my iPod downloads were transferred and I could easily reburn my CDs so I didn't think the wiping of my iPod would be a problem. When I clicked 'sync' it warned me that it would replace the contents of my iPod with the new iTunes library, as I said I didn't think this would be a problembut then it asked if it should transfer my recent iTunes downloads so I said 'yes'. The sync was completed but now I only have 4 downloaded songs and 5 albums which I burned to my new iTunes! I have lost all the music I bought, all the videos I bought and all the audiobooks I bought! (Luckily I still have my apps.) I tried to restore backup but realised that only covers calendars, contacts E.T.C and I checked my iTunes account and that shows all my downloads but I can't see a way to restore them or anything like that!
Please help! I am in despair as you can imagine how much moneys worth I have lost and am losing faith in Apple

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.
    As IO said before:
You can redownload most iTunes pruchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
I do not think it included audio books.

  • My old computer died and I lost all my iTunes music.

My old laptop died a while ago and I've just got a new computer. I still have my old itunes ID etc etc, but when intalling itunes again, I need to somehow get my music back as I had a fair amount, and with my laptop beeing really dead including the hardrive, I tierd to get anything off it, or turn it into an external hardrive, but alas, it did not work.
And as I've also had my old ipod stollen with all my old music on, and now I have nothing really, apart from uploading all my old CD's, I'm still missing alot, and have no idea how to get it back, I've looked around the itunes support thing, and it's been no real help.
So if anyone would be ever so kind and help me, I'd be ever so thankful
    Many thanks
    Rob

So I take it you did not back your computer up?  When the I Cloud comes out, hopefully soon you can get them from there, but until it does, you may be out of luck with no back up or I pod.

  • Help! I lost all my iTune musics...

    Hi,
My laptop was recently stolen and all my musics were in there as well. I still have my iPod with all the musics in there. I'm afraid once I hook it to my new computer (w/o any music) it's gonna have all the musics in iPod erased.
Does anyone know if there's a way to tranfer music FROM iPod TO computer? Or it only goes the other way around? This is so bad...

I got all my musics back onto a new iTune software I installed on my new laptop. However, whenever I hook my iPod onto the computer, iTune would display a message that says: my iPod is linked to another iTune library, do I want to change the link to your current iTune library and replace all existing songs.
And every time I click "Yes", iTune just freezes. What can I do? Help!

  • HT1391 I lost all my itune music when my last computer died and I bought a new one.  How do I get my purchases back?

Me Again... Did I lose all my itunes purchases when my last computer died?  Can I get them back?

If you are in a country where you can re-download music (and they are still available in the store) then they should show under the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
