Upgraded to Windows 7, now iTunes thinks it's a new computer and is making me authorize it

My computer was recently upgraded to Windows 7, and iTunes now thinks it's a new computer and is forcing me to authorize it as a new one (which uses the number of computers I can authorize). Not only that, but it's making me do it more than once, so this same laptop has now been authorized 3 times. Any way to let iTunes know it's confused, and/or to put it back? Also since the upgrade it will only download sporadic episodes of TV seasons I have purchased, not sure if it's related....

Go into iTunes, select the iTunes store, and in the upper right hand corner of the browser, you'll see your account name. Clikc on that, and you'll access an area where you can edit the details about your account. One of the choices is to de-autorize all your computers. Do that. Then authorize the one you want.

What folders did you back up and then restore after reinstalling Windows? The nano does not use a few folders that iPhones/iTouch/iPads use. But they both use the same library database file, iTunes Library.itl. That is the main file that tells itunes if a device has been synced to it.

ITunes is not recognizing my new computer and not allowing me to download my music that I already purchased even though it recognizes my registered iPod.

I got a new computer and downloaded iTunes. When I tried to download music that I already purchased I got a message that my computer was not authorized although my iPod was plugged in and it was recognized. I don't see anywhere that I can register my new computer. Can someone help me?

I purchased new apps on itunes just downloaded to a new computer and want to add them to an iphone with apps already loaded.

The tutorial says to check Sync Apps and drag the new app icons onto iphones. Problem is I get a warning when I click Sync apps that doing so erases all the apps in the iphone and replaces them with the new ones. Since this is a new itunes, it does not have the iphone apps already purchased downloaded. How do I add these apps and sync my iphone?

You don't. Backup your itunes library on the old computer and move it to the new computer.

I am trying to set up 2 new iTunes accounts on our new computer...
In our old we each had an iTunes accounts with our own libraries but the music files were in a shared music folder.
I copied the shared music folder from our old computer on to an external drive and then copied it to Users/shared/itunes music
I then pointed both new Itunes to that location for the music but when I open itunes in both it does not show anything..
I also copied the old iTunes folder to each new account
Why are the 2 new iTunes acct not seeing the music?
I do not care so much about playlists etc..just wanted the music transferred over in the shared file..(music combined Itunes purchases plus ripped CD..)

You are encountering one of the major disadvantages with having library files in one place and media in another. You do not get iTunes to see moved media by changing media storage location in preferences. That only changes the location for anything added from that point on, it does not get iTunes to actively search the new location. This problem is really amplified by you moving media to a new drive.
If it were just one user you could use iTunes to do the moving by using consolidate/organize your media to the new location and the library doing that would work, but the other one wouldn't.
Try this. Play a track. iTunes will ask you to find the file it should use. Find it in its new home. iTunes should ask if you want it to find others and see if it can. This only works if you have iTunes set to automatically organize your library.

Thank you for your response. I have all of my files, etc. and am sitting here on the old computer. I just wasn't sure if I should simply save the iTunes program I am using or insall a new version.
After I get iTunes onto my new computer do I authorize the new computer before I plug in my IPod or after?

Hi, I had to re install my itunes library from a hard drive to my new laptop. Now I cant sync my iphone because itunes thinks all songs are new and basically doubling all albums. Should i restore iphone or is there a better way?

Have you tried exporting a 10 second section of the footage to see if the issue shows up once the seqeunce is actually exported from the timeline. I edit on CS5 with windows 7 pro at work quite often and have no issues so I assure you that isn't the issue. I also edit with AVCHD footage when at home and work quite freqeuntly as well so I'm positive that isn't the issue. It sounds like a GPU driver has been corrupted in the way it interacts with premiere pro. What type of GPU do you have? If it supports MPE's GPU acceleration have you tried turning it off and seeing if that makes any difference?
Anyways though try to export a 10 second test section of your timeline to see if when the clip is exported from premiere it will play normally in windows media player or vlc or w/e media player you want to use. If it exports fine then you can almost be positive it's a corrupted video card driver. If that's the case I'd re-install your GPU's driver and also check your gpu makers website to see if they have a updated driver avaiable.

VC6. is rather old, but you can try to convert the VC6 project using the upgrade wizard of VC2012. Depending on the content of the project your code will work more or less without problems, at least it will compile without errors.
You could also go the 2nd way and create in VC2012 a project type using the wizard that is very similar to your current VC6 projcet (MDI, SDI, Dialog Based, ...). Than you replace the files generated by the wizard with the content of your project. Sometimes
this way is more successful.
But at all the automated converting success depends on the code of your VC6 project. I had both, conversions without big problems and also conversions that need a lot changes to run on a current VC version.

You cannot transfer items between iTunes accounts.
You can redownload all the content.
