Upgraded Windows - now can't download.

Upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista. Now can't download from public library. Error msg: E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12. Have uninstalled and re-installed ADE 2.0.

The upgrade probably confised the ADE registration.

Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help, and indeed installation can even trigger this state.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
A common incorrect message informs you that the ID is already in use on another computer and cannot be reused.
Another is "E_AUTH_NOT_READY"
This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID.
In extreme cases on the mac, the following extra step has helped some people. Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. Even a four-year-old MacBook should have come with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Leopard can run the latest version of iTunes; it will download and install pretty much automatically if you run Software Update.
You might first have to be sure that you are running the latest version of Leopard, which is 10.5.8. This, too, will download and install for you if you run Software Update. Just keep running Software Update until there is nothing left to download and install (you might have to run it more than once because some updates require previous updates to be installed first).
If you have a version of Mac OS X earlier than 10.5, then you can't run the latest version of iTunes. You will need to buy a more recent version of Mac OS X. You must be running at least 10.4 Tiger, and you can upgrade directly to Snow Leopard from Tiger. Apple still sells Snow Leopard for about $30 and you might find it slightly less at a retailer or on eBay. After upgrading to Snow Leopard, you will be able to upgrade to Lion using the Mac App Store for another $30 or so if your MacBook meets the minimum system requirements.

I've just downloaded i0S 6.1 & now can't download any apps or music through my iTunes account. It comes up as "unknown error." without a number. If I try to do it 3 times it sends me to the incorrct password page. My password is fine on my laptop & have just used it to log into this forum!

I use only Photoshop and Fireworks from my CS3 cd. It is not compatible with 8.1 windows. I rarely use Fireworks for printing, but rather to render or perfect my images. I have used Fireworks for about 17 years and just feel comfortable with it. I use Photoshop as well, and see the simularities. I see the handwriting on the wall with Fireworks maybe going to greener pastures, but still feel comfortable with it. I received my original Macromedia cd from my Son as a gift and another gift years later. I am launching a new art form, "Conceptual Art" on my site, and require Fireworks. Hbo go isn't currently installed. It dissapeared from iPad home screens but not from settings. Waited for update. When it finally came I saw hbo icon during update then when it finished the update it dissapeared again.
Saw it in my apps on my computer. Tried to sync it back. No luck.. Reformatted device .. Tried to download hbo go. The install button in the app store won't highlight. I notice max go app won't highlight either. or photon flash browser too. Weird stuff. Does it not work on new iPad ?

(1) You should not need to use Windows on your Mac unless you want to do so.
I'm unsure what a "luminex camera" is, but you can probably use your Mac's iPhoto app with it.
Launching iPhoto and search iPhoto > Help for "import" (without the quote marks.)

unfortunately, adobe only offers cross-grades for current versions of software, and not previous versions. so, you cannot use cs4 for mac.

You can set up a hotmail exchange account on your phone to sync your contacts, as explained here: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32784/sync-hotmail-with-your-iphone-or-ipod-touch -with-exchange-activesync/. If you then want these to sync with iCloud, you will have to use an app like Speed Names to move or copy the contacts to your iCloud group, then turn iCloud your exchange syncing for contacts Off and iCloud syncing for contacts to On (in settings>iCloud) and when prompted, choose Merge. (iCloud only syncs contacts in the iCloud group.)

Got the forced upgrade and now I can't download anything, including updates for apps. I see the download bar but nothing downloads. Seems to be in a frozen state.
Any ideas how to fix?

This sounds like a known issue reported here:

There was a workaround posted, but I've not tested it myself. Here are the steps.
# Go into Yahoo Messenger Options - Change the Window in the dropdown to Tab and press OK.
# Then go back and switch it to small window and press OK.
Once the bug is officially resolved, you could try running a Nightly or Aurora build to use the fix early.
