Upgrading BBM

I upgrade my bmm and my screen turn blue with nothing on it I need help

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
After the reboot, return to your BBM icon, open it and allow it to sync.
I would advise that you be connected to a WiFi network when you do this.

  • Upgrade BBM Help

    I have a Blackberry Curve 8300 series and I'm trying to upgrade my BBM. I have the older version that doesn't show what time messages are sent, etc. I don't have browser capabilities on my blackberry so I'm unable to upgrade it via my smartphone. When I plug it into my computer and search for updates the desktop manager says that I am fully updated although I still have the old version of BBM. Help?

  • Blackberry Z10 OS Upgrade + BBM Status Problems

    Hi
    First of all I am having problems updating my Blackberry Z10 OS Software as I have version 10.0.9.348 and from what i have read in the forum that it is the Carriers who is responsible to release the upgrade but i have already spoken to them and they are NOT AWARE OF ANYTHING! what can i do ??? 
    Second problems is with the Blackberry Messenger as my contacst are changing their Status and personal messages but i am not getting the updates and it's not Changing ! 
    I have tried to format my device 3 times so far tried to do the upgrade from Blackberry link but I am facing the same issue that my device is up to date! ..
    Please let me know how can i resolve this issue! as i am getting really upset !

    Who is your carrier?
    There is nothing you can do except wait until your carrier has it released, or swap a SIM card temporarily to a SIM which has released the upgrade.
    You can't force the upgrade with the Link software.

  • Upgrading BBM on Torch 9800

    I updated my BBM to the latest and instead my BBM went back in time to 2012, all deleted accounts came back and messages. Now I cannot send messages without having to press send message its taking longer...HELP!!

  • BBM Upgrade Problem

    Ok, so I upgraded BBM and I restarted the divice (Curve 8520) and when I go tturnedo BBM it says "Cannot Set Up BBM: Insusufficient wireless coverage or your connection to the wireless network is turned off" I have a perfect wifi connection. And now it says "A temporary BBM server error Retry" but when I retry it doesnt work. Another problem is ever since I restarted my divice, my spotify app doesn't work it says "The disk is full Please free up some space." But I have deleted one app and two games and I have 106.9 MB free app space. also I have taken the back off and all that.
    Any help would really be appriciated, thanks, Olly.

    A normal Data Plan will allow us to browse Internet but will not allow use BBM in your device , So call your Carrier giffgaff to know if BlackBerry AddOn are properly configured in your account .
    Once you have your account configured with BlackBerry Data plan you will not receive such error message while updating or using.
    Call giffgaff and let us know if you still receive that error.

  • Sending picture on bbm doesn't work

    Hey guys
    Since I upgraded bbm to the latest version and I can't send pictures to my bbm contact
    When I send a picture it show me this message ”Picture has been sent to... "
    But when ask my friend if the picture had arrived or not he reply with no
    I have 20 contacts in bbm and they say the same thing
    Is there any solution ?

  • Bbm version 7.0

    Hi I have a problem with my bbm, everytime I change display picture, or personal message, or after a broadcast message, my bbm actomatically goes slow for around 10-20 minutes, will not send messages or anything. I'm connected to wifi which is a strong secure good connection. I do alt lglg to clear my event log, I just cannot seem to figure out why it does this, its happened for around 2 months now, before that my bbm run fast and bug free. I delete all applications I don't need, like "maps, slides to go, and other ones. I don't download any games because they are buggy and drain battery, its so weird! Help?

    Yes mate, I work with o2 myself. I have tried numerous battery pulls, I have factory reset my phone, downgraded and re upgraded bbm, and all my phones software. From experencie I believe the torch 9800 is the best blackberry that has been made that's why I use it. But this problem just will not go away!

  • Bbm icon does not appear in home screen as I update from BBM 6 to 7

     am using Torch 9800. I have been unable to locate the BBM icon since I was try to upgrade BBM 6 to 7. I have checked all the tabs and folders, and it is still nowhere to be found. BBM  application is only listed in a BB app world,and update fail all the time I want to upgrade please help

  • BBM taking forever to restore

    I used bold 9900 to upgrade BBM from app world. After it was done downloading, I opened and it showed "Associating BBM with BB ID" I logged in with my BB id and it started "Restoring". Its close to a week now and it haven't finished restoring back my BBM. I need serious help and I don't want to loose my contacts. Somebody please help urgently!!

    Welcome to Support Forums
    I assume you have BlackBerry Data Plan / BIS already on your account , if you don't have then call you carrier to activate that it will fix your current  issues with BBM7.
    If you already have that ( BIS ) on your account then you can try this to see if that help . First On your Homescreen go to Options > Device > Application Management > Delete BlackBerry Messenger from the list , then perform a Battery pull restart by removing the Battery while your device is Powered On . 
    Then Reset your BlackBerry ID password , For help refer to this Knowledge Base :
    KB26361  :How to change or reset a BlackBerry ID password.
    Once you have reset your BBID password login with your new  BlackBerry ID password on your device.Finally from your BlackBerry browser  browse to www.blackberry.com/bbm  and  download the most recent version of BBM available for your device. After installing your device may reboot and associate with your BlackBerry ID.
    Try it to see if that help or you have to contact your Carrier to know about your current problem .

  • New BBM 5 And Filtering Messages

    Hm... prior to upgrading BBM to 5.0.0.33 on my Bold running 4.6.0.297 (2nd Edition), I could go into the messages application and filter messages using shortcuts for saved searches, such as ALT-G for Gmail, or ALT-O for Outbox, ALT-P for Phone Records, etc.Now, after installing the new BBM last night, the shortcuts no longer work. When I press ALT-G, for example, nothing happens. This is true for both preset search shortcuts and ones that I created myself.
    I just did a little digging, and it seems that filtering doesn't work at all, whether accessed via shortcuts or via the search function. Dang.Is anyone else experiencing this? I used the shortcuts often to help maintain my message application.

    I just tried it and it's working fine for me. If you go into Search, hit the menu button, can you go into Recall. Are all the shortcuts still listed? Have you tried performing a hard reset? If not, just remove the battery for 30 seconds and replace it. After the device reboots try the shortcuts again

  • Problems updating BBM

    My phone got trashed and I'm not trying to repair it. I have BBM 5 on OS 6 working. I want to upgrade to BBM 8 which I had before my phone got trashed. App World thinks I have 8 installed so doesn't let me upgrade.
    How can I for App world to upgrade BBM?

  • New BBM customization question

    Regarding recently upgraded  BBM version 5.0.1.38
    First off, I have no issue with it...just a question.  I used Bubble style chat.  I noticed the background of the chate bubbles are a blue/grey with a darker grey border.
    Is there anyway to change that?  I'm not liking the grey too much...would prefer white.....silly question perhaps but it would be nice to customize futher.
    Anyone know how or if it is possible?

    Some features were likely changed in the interest of improving performance.  Unfortunately there is no way to change this without changing the style (and even then, you are restricted to the appearance of the style).

  • HELP! Delete message no longer works in Hub on Q10

    The touch and hold to highlight and delete a message from within BB Hub (i.e. without opening the message) on my Q10 just suddenly stopped working! Not sure when it stopped working exactly - just in the past week or two - and the only *possible change I made lately is upgrading BBM...but I don't use BBM so I highly doubt it's that. My software is fully up to date and I've tried powering off and on again. No luck. I've looked at all the guidance and manuals and forums and can't see any settings I might have inadvertently unset or anyone else with the same issue.
    Anyone have any suggestions? Do we think this is a software or hardware issue? (Except I'm ruling out hardware because there are no other issues with my touch screen functionality).
    Any help more than welcome!!
