Upgrading DS 5.2 - when compressed archive installation method was used

I've tried upgrading Directory Server with patch 2 (Patch-ID# 115614-10), but the patchadd command fails with this error:
One or more patch packages included in
115614-10 are not installed on this system.
Originally, I installed DS 5.2 using the compressed archive installation method. Does this prevent patching the DS software? Or is there another patch available for this type of installation?
Any help is appreciated.

I have the same problem. The patch is not applicable to compressed archive installation. By the way, would be possible to simply overwrite those files from the patch archive 115614-10? Any other dependency I have to take care.

When in Unix ( i guess u are using Oracle Application server installed in unix)
the owner of the ias in unix is used to run this.
Its usually oracle. try to login with oracle /the user who owns the ias and run the script

Try disabling hardware acceleration. Many visual bugs can be attributed to issues with graphics drivers.
(Firefox -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> [ ] Use hardware acceleration when available)

When I purchased PSE11 I was using a PC. I now have the opportunity to move to a MAC.

Can I reload the program into the MAC (even though I purchased it for PC)? Can I reload the program at all if I upgrade PCs?

If you bought the boxed version you got discs for both platforms. You're allowed two activated installs, so one can be on windows and one on a Mac (not MAC, incidentally--that's something else entirely). If you bought the download, you will need to buy it again, since those serial numbers only work on one platform.

Where can I obtain a Directory 5.2 2004Q2 Compressed Archive?

Why are certain features deemed uncompatible when upon forced installation...they work?

All revisions since 3.0 do not load foxkeh theme,foxkeh everywhere,lolifox,etc.because they are deemed incompatible.
When a forced installation is done using nightly tester tools, lo and behold! they work just fine!!
So what makes these add-ons incompatible? Who determines this, using what criteria?

It is down to the author of the add-on to indicate what versions of Firefox the add-on is compatible with. It is quite common for the author to stop working on an add-on, it may still work in later versions of Firefox but it is never updated to show that it will work.
I would not try making themes work with later versions of Firefox, themes have to be updated to work with later versions.

[SOLVED] Old-school installation method?

Hi all,
Sorry if I am missing this, but I seem to remember before the AIF days, the installation method was to use pacman to install the base after setting up the partitions manually etc. Is this method documented somewhere? I can find small nuggets of info in the forums but nothing 100% concrete.

I managed to find this reference specifically for restoring on Snow Leopard:
If you are using Mac OS X Snow Leopard, start your computer from the installation disc. Then use the "Restore From Time Machine Backup" utility.

Finally, I cannot see why Time Machine would leave out your playlists and ratings? Think about it. Why would Time Machine specifically copy everything BUT your playlists and ratings? Ryan, what are your options? I would have to ask you this: Are you certain that you properly did the sync? That is another/different forum altogether: Using iPhone /see subsection on Syncing.

Yes. The upgrade broke your CS4 install. You have to reinstall.
Easiest way to fix this is to download the installer Download CS4 products and have your serial number at the ready.
Then you will need to download and install the updates for Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Bridge here: Product updates
There is a Terminal fix, but you have to be familiar with Terminal and running the python license Repair script. You will need the bash shell on your user account. If that makes sense to you, we can try that.

For example, which version of LabVIEW did you upgrade from? Did you modify any of your code? Are you having problems building ANY installers or just a single application?

Application Builder Error occurs from any project.
Currently configured installers cannot be built either. When build configuration is viewed the additional installers section is empty.
I am currently working with an NI Applications Engineer to resolve the issue.

If the upgrade completed successfully and you are running Aperture 3 on the converted library and you're sure all the images that were in the old library are in the new library then you could delete the Aperture 2 library.
However I'm the paranoid type and when it comes to deleting images I'm always hesitant. If you can fine a place to archive the old library that would be your a better option.
At a minimum I would keep the old library around for a month or so after switching to Aperture 3 just to make sure in case something pops up.

You might want to just manually power down your machine and, if necessary, start the installation process anew. You're unlikely to damage anything by doing this. It may have actually installed and is just hanging when it's supposed to reboot.

This is probably a rare one, but I'll give it a shot anyway.
I just recently started getting an error message stating +"An error occurred adding "" to the archive"+ when compressing an iWeb domain file. Long story short, I pass this file back and forth with a business partner, and to help maintain its integrity, and to be able to upload it to and from iDisk, we compress it first.

Logging out and back in will allow the file to be compressed with no issues.
I'm running 10.5.8 and iWeb '09 v. 3.0.1. Any help is appreciated.

B1 Upgrade failed to launch the new version installation

Hi all
I encoutered the following problem when upgrading SAP B1 V8.81 SP0 PL5 to PL6. The Upgrade test showed no errors and the upgrade on the server finished properly. But then i started the client and got the message "The system cannot find the file specified. The B1 upgrade failed to launch the new version installation."
It is not possible to deinstall the SAP Client because there is no such point under control panel > software! Does anyone know this behaviour? When i try to start the client from the b1_shr folder the message appears that there is already another version installed.
Could it be a problem upgrading from PL5 to PL6 because they are both upgrade packages and not patchlevel updates?

You have to run the SAP B1 client in the server to start the upgrade.
Did you open SAP B1 client in server machine? Did SAP show you message to upgrade?
