Upgrading EDGe line and transferring phone to a different line

Hey guys, I currently have one line on the EDGE program that is eligible for an edge upgrade - however, when I upgraded that line to the edge program back in Feb 2014, I did it for use on a different line on my account (basically used another line's upgrade) Now I'm wanting to use the edge upgrade again for the same 2nd line I previously used it for, and am wondering how to go about doing that. I specifically wanted to do the purchase online, which is what I'm leary about - whether or not I could use the upgrade for a different line if purchased online. I really don't have the time to go to a Verizon retailer, considering all the Verizon stores in my area consistently have wait times of atleast an hour (when I last upgraded in-store, I was there a total of 3 1/2 hours). Hoping someone can walk me through how I would go about this transaction.

This is a wireless carrier issue. The fact that the speaker & microphone work properly for other apps is a great indicator that your device is fine.
Contact your wireless carrier about your call quality issue.

I TRIED TO UPGRADE TO ios5 AND MY PHONE FROZE UP IN THE PROCESS AND NO HAS A USB CONNECT TO ITUNES WITH A BLACK SCREEN. ANY HELP?

I have a iphone 4 tried to upgrade to ios5 and the phone froze. I upgraded itunes before starting. Now the sceen is black with a usb connect to itunes icon in the middle of the screen. I turned the phone off and restarted it, and also have turned off the computer and restarted it. nothing is working. Anyone have a solution?

Gmail and Transfering Phone numbers

My Gmail connets and downloads email but will not send..
Is there a trick I am missing?
Also I have Tmobile XDA PDA and have all my numbers and have not figured away to get them to transfer.
Tried bluetooth but iPhone is not seeing XDA and XDA is not seeing iPhone?

Gmail not sending:
Are you using the built in Gmail option for accounts on the iPhone or did you setup Gmail manually? (I personally set it up manually because the one built in the iPhone always shows me 25 messages no matter what versus the manual way allows me to clear my inbox). If you set it up manually, make sure you have the smtp settings correct for gmail. If you just picked the built in iPhone gmail settings, then I am not sure what is going on there. Do you get any error when sending?
Transferring your address book:
I believe the iPhone will only see bluetooth headsets, so no go there.
Are you on a Mac or PC? If PC, then easy - sync your Tmobile phone to Outlook, then sync Outlook to the iPhone.
If on Mac, the maybe MissingSync will work for you.

Questions about Lumia Line and Windows Phone 8

hey , i am using Nokia 701, a Symbian smarphone i love very much, but would like to know more about the WP OS and how it fares against it. If u have answers for the questions below or even better - if u own a Lumia 720, which i find interesting, please give ur opinions.
1. There are many GPS Apps in Android which still havent been ported to WP8. Nokia 701 has , in its native browser, GPS functionality, so when i enter GPS enabled websites, I can share my location to them on my Nokia 701, and also using the Opera Mobile browser.
Does the Lumia 720 have GPS enabled BROWSERS ?
2. Second question - the thing i LOVE about symbian is that Whatsapp is always connected and so - messages are immadietly delivered, faster than android even, i believe.
If u keep internet connection ON with the WP device and a friend sitting next to you will message you over WhatsApp, how fast will it reach,
when the app is closed and when the app is in the background?
And is there any difference between having the screen locked or unlocked ?
I hate it when there's a delay in recieving messages. It happens with android and some iPhones.
3. The Lumia 720 has 512 mb of RAM. Does it limit downloading of apps, meaning you simply cant download them because they cant work on the device?
And do you feel LAGS with apps who should work with your 720?
I'd love hearing all of your thoughts. This will help not only me but other users who read this in time to come and maybe even Nokia when they perform R & D .

lol.. Try again, every app which wants to access location or other data needs to get permission from you to do so. Also you have the choice to allow the phone to send information to Microsoft during the first set up of the phone..

Tried to upgrade the software and my phone crashed...restore does not work

What do I do?! I tried to upgrade and it stopped at the verifing software...it went to the screen with the USB plug and the Itunes icon. When I try to restore it stops at the same point on the preparing to restore and goes to verifing software. What do I DO! (Iphone)

Without more information all I can suggest is:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

AFTER I DOWNLOADED THE OS 7 TO MY IPHONE 5 MY RING VOLUME IS EXTREMELY LOW. I CAN'T HEAR IT.....

First, all caps = yelling, plz dnt yell at me
Try these things if you havent already, turn off the phone by holding power and sliding to power off when prompted.
If that doesnt fix it, then reset the phone by holding the power and the home buttons until the phone turns off.
And lastly if that doesnt fix it, then try resetting all the settings from settings>general>reset>reset all settings.
Lemme know how that goes.

Upgrading hard drive and transferring OS and files

Hi all
My MacBookPro needs a bigger HD. I've read many opinions on copying over data. Just curious which is the easiest? I have the laptop(with the old drive and files), empty FW external drive and new SATA HD. I also have a Wiebetech Sata dock. Will any of this make for less steps and less corrupted files?

I got robbed in Aruba and they stole my daughters iphone. Need help locating it. I went on line and icloud states device is off line.

iCloud (http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone on another device) are the only way that you might be able to try and locate it. What iOS version was on it ? If it was on iOS 7 then they won't be able to reset it without your password.
I assume that you've reported it to the police (?). You should also contact your carrier and change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

I go on-line and the typing is blurring (different colors) had this before.

Had this problem before, and was instructed to delete a certain update, and it worked, but now it's starting to come back, not as bad, but will it get worse? the letters are different colors, and blurry.

Earlier this year there was a problem update that affected fonts in Vista but not Windows 7.
There was a Windows update a couple years ago that caused font display problems in Firefox on Windows 7 ([http://www.infoworld.com/article/2614344/microsoft-windows/windows-7-patch-kb-2670838-fries-firefox-fonts.html Windows 7 patch KB 2670838 fries Firefox fonts | InfoWorld]). Does that sound like what you might have uninstalled before? I'm not sure whether that is still a problem or whether Mozilla updated Firefox to work around it.

Is it possible to have icons for the main forward/back toolbar line and text only for the bookmark line in the toolbars?

In the customizing toolbars section it looks like you can either have icons and text, icons only or text only.
I'd like to have the toolbar with the back/forward buttons, home button, etc. be icon only and the toolbar below, which is the bookmark bar to be text only. I don't see how to do this.

Problem comparing one line of a file to a different line

Hey guys,
i have a list of emails with a bunch of duplicates and i want to have one of each address. The logic behid the program is it would read in the first email, see if its in the second email list. If the email isnt in the new list it would print it to the new list and go to the second email adress and repeat the prossess.
can you please help me fix this program so it would do this?

Switching an upgrade to a different line

I have a family plan with 5 lines
One is eligible for an upgrade, and I want to switch it to another line to get an upgrade
So, Line A is eligible for an upgrade, I want to put it on Line B
Line A was activated 2 years ago in August, so next month, my 2 year contract will be up with that line
Can I close that line? I know when you do an upgrade you resign a contract, but does the contract signing now apply to Line B since that is the one I used it on?
Or do I have to keep Line A open for another 2 years and just not use it?

When you "transfer" an upgrade (I use that term loosely, I'll explain this later) you are signing a new contract on the line that is eligible, not the line that is using the phone. The reason I quoted transfer, is because you can't actually transfer an upgrade. All you do is purchase the phone on the eligible line, and use it on a different line. You don't even have to be on the same account to do this.
Also, when you're eligible to upgrade is not when your contract is up. You are eligible to upgrade at 20 months into your 2 year contract. You can cancel the line after completing the full 24 months. Otherwise you will have to pay an ETF.
So basically, purchase the phone you want on line A (the eligible line) and this will extend line A's contract another 2 years. When you get the phone, activate it on line A first (this is to accept the terms of service you sign) and then you can activate the phone on line B (the one that is not yet eligible) and line B's contract will be the same as it was before. When line B becomes eligible for an upgrade, you can use that for line A if needed.
If you want to use line A's upgrade for line B, and then cancel line A, you will pay the ETF. $350 for smartphones, or $175 I believe for feature phones.
