Upgrading Flash Player when I already have the latest verison installed on my computer

I have the latest verison of Adobe Flash Player on my computer which is Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X  ( verison 11.9 ) and also I have Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin and while playing Farmville2 on Facebook, I am asked to download or upgrade my Adobe Flash Player. I have already been asked 3 times in the 45 mintues to upgrade my Player. Is this really neccessary that many times??

You need to clear your browser cache and history so that the "cookie" which indicates a lower version isn't sent to Facebook.

  • Why do websites ask me to install flash player when I already have the latest version?

    Windows 7 (64 bit)
    IE 9
    Flash 11.5.502.135

That discussion doesn't seem the same as my problem.
    Here's a screen cap:
I've had this same issue with previous versions maybe all the way back to 9 or 10 or further

  • Why does it tell me I need to install the full version of flash player when I do have the full version installed.

I'm trying to open a pdf attachment that apparently has flash content in it. When I go to the download page, it says I need to install the full version. We are set up to distribute within our company because part of our network is offline. I assumed what we were downloading is the full version. Is there something else I'm missing?

Downloading from a browser?  If so, what browser?

  • Why does it suggest an update when I already have the latest version installed, everyday.

I get a notification saying that an update is available, every single day, even though the available "updated" version is the same as the version already installed. e.g. 16.0a2

The Aurora development channel is suppose to only get updates whenever there are checkins and since there are checkins almost everyday, there are updates each of those days. The version number does not change.
To tell whet build you have look at the build date in user agent or in '''about:buildconfig''' source link.
edit: Looks like Aurora is now going with the dumb idea of no build date in UA that was only in Nightly channel before ever since move/merge of channels recently.
You could even try testing the Beta channel where Firefox 15.0 is on as updates are every so often. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox_beta

  • Sites want me to download newest version of Adobe Flash Player when I already have it

I am having difficulty when at a site that I want to watch a video on (most recently a work site) and I am told I need to update Adobe Flash Player. I double check andI Have the same version I am being insructed to download. I tried going to Security under System Prefences and under Apps allowing from anywhere in case that was the problem. Still, I cannot watch the video. Any ideas of the problem?  I was just watching videos from this same work site without this coming up. I have also had it come up on other sites (less trusted than this site) and could not watch the video because of the same reason. Ihave AdobeFlashPlayer set to automatically update.

Assuming Allan's advice is not correct, and you do run the installer, I think I've heard of that problem and it involves removing the old Flash plug-ins, then install the new version. I don't use it so I don't know what they are called, but will be the /Library/Internet Plug-ins folder.
You can go here and enable HTML5 in YouTube so you don't have to use Flash: http://www.youtube.com/html5
Most(?) of the content is HTML5, but you may run into videos where you still need Flash.

  • Why directed to download flash player when I already have it?

this is my first problem encountered while downloading Adove Flash Player. I was trying to watch video on you tube. after i clicked the start button to begin, it asked to download "Adove flash player" to watch this video. I was never asked to do this. I tried to download it anyway. After  running 99 seconds and 1 sec left, it paused. I clicked pause box it changed to running security scan. I clicked run again. Then "user account control dialog box came up and asked if I want to allow the Flash Player to change settings. I clicked yes. Then the Flash Player Installer window appeared and it shows that Chrome is already installed in my computer. Is there anyone who can help me with this?. I tried several times with same results. Thanks in advance.

    Hi, Pat
Thankx for your reply. I was away busy doing other things. My OS is window 7 and it happened only with ATT.Yahoo. When I clic video on You Tube, it says  I need Adove Flash Player installed in red box. And right beside it, there was another note and it says "You are using outdated browser, which You Tube no longer supports. Since some features on You Tube may not work. You are viewing a lightweight version of the video page. Go back to the regular page.". When I clic the " go back to the regular page" viedeo started to play. It never happened before until I reported on Wednesday. Same video played normal on Google Chrome. My current Adove Flash Player is 11 Active X.

  • Keeps asking to install Flash PLayer when I already have??? Help Please!!!

Flash player worked perfectly fine on my computer and I've had it for about 2 years. But now for the past 2 weeks whenever I turn off the computer or log off the next time I sign in it says I need to install flash player. I have installed it many times but it keeps doing the same thing. I'm tired of installing it everyday so some one please help!!

Hi Gagan, Thanks for the info. You say sometimes the DLM will appear. If you can remember, was it used the last time that you uninstalled and installed?
It is supposed to install the FP and then disconnect, but sometimes it does not.
My suggestion would be to uninstall per http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html  This is the offline Uninstaller.
Pay close attention to the last part of this article about rebooting when using IE.
This is the offline Installer :
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
Download the Installer and run from your desktop after the Uninstaller is finished. Be sure to not have any Flash running,
close all browsers, check system tray, etc.
Just read over the instructions carefully regarding Security Settings, Permission issues, Norton Security, etc. before Installing.
If you have any questions prior to uninstalling/installing, just post.
    Thanks

  • Why do I get a message to install Adobe Flash when I already have the latest version?

Certain websites will not let me enter unless I install the latest Adobe Flash, but when I do so I still get the same message, even after re-booting?

you don't need a cc subscription to use the purchased copy.
download the installation file and use your serial number to activate when given the licensing option during installation.  you should install 5.7 instead of installing 5.0 and updating.

  • Already have the latest Flash Player Version

Can somebody please help me? I am trying to play a game on Facebook - a game I was able to play ONCE - about 2 weeks ago. Now when I try to play, it says I need to have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player - Download Now. So I tried to download it but it won't work. Turns out I already have the latest version for my system. My operating system is Windows XP, my browser is Internet Explorer 8 and I have the Flash Player version 11.3.300.270. And my Flash Player Add-Ons are already enabled. So why does it continue to tell me to add the latest version when I already have it? BTW: I'm NOT computer savvy - I'm just following the instructions Adobe is giving me - so please if you can help me you'll need to dumb-down your reply or I'll be even more lost. LOL. Thanks!

im trying to restore my iphone and itunes doesnt allow it to restore without updating. problem is that i have the latest update on my iphone so why is it forcing me to wait for a 7hr update download when i already have the update and only need to restore?

Sadly, the iPhone 3G can not be upgraded beyond iOS 4.2.1.

  • Current iLife needs updating, but don't want to pay for the latest versions when I already have the actual application

I got a MacBook a couple of years a go and it was pre-downloaded with iLife 09.  I already downloaded the latest software (OS X Mountain Lion) and now I would like to update these to the most current versions out there (the ones in the Mac App Store) but I don't want to spend $15 per app when I already have the applications.  Is there a code that will allow me to just update the most current versions?  That would help most definetly.

No. There is no upgrade discount.

You say you have iOS 7. If you are a developer you have access to the private OS 7 developer's forum

Otherwise you are on your own

  • Icloud settings say i need to upgrade iphoto on my macbook, but i already have the latest version.

i have a 4S and macbook pro running together on my network.  im able to sync via wifi, and i'm pretty sure my phone is sending things to icloud, but i can't activate photo stream on the macbook.  when i try to turn it on in icloud settings, the option is disabled and i get a message saying install the latest version of iphoto.  when i try to buy it from the app store, it says i already have the latest version.  help?

Would checking the "copy to iPhoto" box and then reimporting do it or will I end up with two copies of the same photos?
You'll end up with two copies and only one will have Faces attached.
The external drive is a MyBookLive, which my Mac says is formatted for Mac. It doesn't seem to be creating any issues.
What does Disk Utility report the format as?
As I'm using a MacBook Air that doesn't have an ethernet connection, I have no choice but to import over my wireless network.
A strong warning: If you're trying to edit the Library (that is, make albums, move photos around, keyword, make books or slideshows etc.) or edit individual photos in it via Wireless be very careful. Dropouts are a common fact of wireless networking, and should one occur while the app is writing to the database then your Library will be damaged. Simply, I would not do this with my Libraries.
My biggest issue at the moment is how do I copy the photos into iPhoto without having to start the process all over again.
    Worth a try:
Check the box at the iPhoto Preferences: then
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
